Summary: Post Hogwarts: Ron and Harry are sent to America for Auror training. Ron spends his last night in England with Hermione, and after returning two years later, he finds Hermione with a fifteen-month-old baby ...
Oh Merlin, save me! I do not usually read AUs but this just takes the biscuit. Honestly! I know men are clueless but Ron is definitely beyond that! LOL
Summary: James Potter, son of the famous Harry Potter, starts his fifth year at Hogwarts with great enthusiasm as he expects that this will be his best year yet. He is unaware however of the sinister things that lies in store for him and his friends.
But first not only does he need to find out who he's fighting but who he's protecting...
EXTRACT FROM CHAPTER 3:
He was breathing deeply, his chest heaving in an out with such intensity that he could almost cry due to the lack of oxygen. If his pulse hadn't slowed down, the blood no longer rushing to his head, he would not have noticed that someone else was there with him.
Her eyes were dark, but ghostly at the same time and her skin was as pale as he ever remembered. Her gaunt face revealled one of some anguish, her soul clearly still tortured.
Oh dear! I am intrigued. What is this all about?
A dementor attack? Oh dear, poor James. I cannot wait to read the next chapter.
What a cliffhanger! And Lily being in Hufflepuff? Oh Merlin.
Author's Response: Thank you for the three reviews that you've sent, and I'm glad that you enjoy the twist and turns that have occured so far! Keep reviewing when I get more stuff out, I really appreciate it! x x x
Summary: The Dursleys have left Privet Drive and are in hiding with Hestia Jones and Dedalus Diggle. Hestia and Mr. Dursley are constantly fighting, Petunia is avoiding the wizards at all costs, and Dedalus is trying to make them all the best of friends. Meanwhile, Dudley discovers he has an interest in Harry's world, but his parents are less than pleased when they find out.
Well, Petunia.... you have damaged Harry so much in ways you do not comprehend. The fact that Harry grew up to be honourable is due to genes and that belongs to Lily. Sorry. I love your story and this chapter is excellent but I really could not find it in my heart to give Petunia the forgiveness she does not deserve. She hurt a child. That is unforgiveable.
Love the cliffhanger! Cannot wait for the next chapter to find out what Dudley was laughing about.
Author's Response: thanks! he was laughing because he realized the explosion was another one of the decoy detonators. I probably didn't make that clear enough. :)
Summary: Scorpius Malfoy was brought up in the knowledge that he came from an old pure-blood family. Hogwarts is going to teach him a great deal more. Will he be able to rise above his family’s tainted past, or will history repeat itself?
First place in the 2007 Autumn Challenge’s New Beginnings prompt.
Nominated for Best History/Mystery in the 2008 QSQs!
Canon compliant with all seven books, however, not compliant with all interviews given by JKR.
LOL. You really crack me up! You are very determined to ensure all the "bad" characters become "good" like Draco Malfoy and now, Gregory Goyle!
Author's Response: Well... I wouldn't go so far as to say Goyle is "good". I see Goyle as the sort of person who gravitates toward a leader and just sort of does as he's told. For most of school his leader was Draco and then Vincent Crabbe. After Crabbe's death, he probably would have gone back to following Draco around again. So, although he wasn't a willing participant in the kidnapping plot, it wasn't exactly because of any moral choice he made. Quite simply, Zacharias Smith still hates Goyle and wanted to see him imprisoned too. Draco on the other hand... as you can see from Scorpius's use of the word "Half-Breed" back in chapter 3... Draco's not exactly a model citizen. However, he has come a long way. :)
Gilderoy Lockhart? Did he regain his memories? LOL. You really crack me up! More please!!!!!
Yay! An update! An update! You have no idea how many times a day I checked for an update!. Your story is so fascinating that I am enamoured with it.
Author's Response: You have no idea how long I grinned foolishly at my computer screen upon reading this. I have no idea how long it was either, but apparently it was long enough to be asked what I was grinning about. Thank you so much! :D
I have been following this story from the very beginning and I must say that :
1. the storyline and plotlines are excellent
2. characterisation is very good.
3. very creative and descriptive.
4. well written
As for this chapter, please update soon as I could not wait to see what exactly is going to happen. My heart is in my throat! Please do relieve it.
Hurrah! An update... and you have one more chapter. You are a star. You are completing a fic. Three cheers! I really enjoyed the ride up to this point. I would be sad to read the end but pleased that a fic I am following has a beginning, a middle and an end!
Summary: The Death Eaters, under Lord Voldemort, authorized the murders of many Muggles and wanted to exterminate Muggle-borns. Hugo Weasley knows that the problem of pure-blood illusions of superiority are still out there and is determined to do something drastic to stop it...
I am Yellow_Rose of Gryffindor writing for the September One-Shot Challenge.
Oh my goodness. You did open a Pandora's box. Very dramatic but aguably realistic.
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.
Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.
Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.
That was absolutely romantic. A most enjoyable chapter.
Author's Response: Aw, shucks, thanks so much. I saw your comments on your bio page: thanks so much for those kind comments as well! And to answer your questions - I hadn't thought about writing the conversation between Meldrum and Dean. Have to think about that. I have the entire concept in my head (and the bare skeleton of chapters down on paper), but the entire story is not yet written. However, I do have the final two chapters absolutely complete and they're good ones, so I truly want to get there, trust me! Stay tuned. cj
LOL. What a temper. Love that last scene. Wonderful.
Your opening paragraph is so descriptive. Are you sure you are not writing other original stuff apart from fanfiction? Excellent. I could almost picture the scene.
Brilliant characterisation too.
Author's Response: Why, yes, I do have quite a temp-- Oh. You meant Ginny. *cough* Thanks. I'm thrilled you loved the last scene; it was quite fun to write. I absolutely detest writing things in which the characters get along famously for too long; it just get awfully boring for me. Gotta have the conflict! And thanks very much for your comments regarding my opening paragraph. I am actually working on some original fiction; comments like yours help to give me some much-needed confidence that maybe I CAN do this. I truly appreciate your comments. Thank you! cj
Oh, my goodness. Is there any Muggle male alive that is the carbon copy of Harry James Potter? I would love to meet him and have his children!
Another excellent chapter.
Author's Response: I believe my dh comes awfully close, but I may be biased! Again, thank you for your comments. cj
Summary: Nominated for the 2008 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Post-Hogwarts Story
When Albus, Rose, and Scorpius are put on the train to their first year at Hogwarts, their parents have simple hopes for them. Namely to have the normal, boring school years they never got to experience themselves. But sometimes, we ask too much of our children.
When the school becomes plagued by invasions of wild beasts, three different students from three different houses follow in the footsteps of the generation before them, but strive to achive the one thing none of their predesesors ever could: DON'T GET CAUGHT!
Yay! An updare. I have been checking constantly for one. I am more than ever intrigued. Will Maddox actually join up and be trusted ( more to the point because remember Pettigrew and his betrayal).
Author's Response: Wow, Maddox sure seems to be gaining a fanbase of his own. Well, while I'm not going to divulge any future story details, I can say Maddox will continue to have a big part in the story.
My goodness. Scorpios's behaviour intrigues me? What is going on here? I wonder......!
Very exciitng. You have indeed won my avid attention!
Author's Response: Wow, I can't believe how many people love Scorpius. He has more groupies than any other character I've written. I guess I must have done something right.
Yay! What a twist in the tale. Jocelyn Dale coming into the fray? How complicated could relationships be? At least Jocelyn seem to like Albus. LOL.
Sigh... I really love this fic. When is the next update going to be?
Author's Response: Yes, Jocelyn actually came to me while eatting a black licorice jellybean. The flavor makes me think of her for some reason. Buy some JellyBellys and fish out the flavor. You'll see what I mean.
His fears? Flying...his own wand...fitting in...sticking out! His best friends? A passionate fire-breathing cousin, and a cool, aloof Death Eater's son. His destiny? Anything but ordinary!
Join Albus as he experiances his first year at Hogwarts and begins the journey out from under his father's collosal shadow, if he can survive it of course!
Meet the new Tenacious Trio, Albus Potter, Scorpius Malfoy, and Rose Weasley
What a great shame! These 3 little ones are making history by being friends, bless them. Here is hoping their houses will not separate them.
Love this chapter. Great characterisation of the Potter/Weasley and Malfoy families.
