I'm always starting new stories, despite the fact that I still have four, unfinished, full-length stories on this database. The plot-bunnies just never stop jumping!
Expected Title: EverAfter.
Characters: Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger and others.
Category: Romance/Dramione [My first! Hope it works out.]
Inspired by: The Family Man [Movie].
Summary: After falling behind the veil, Sirius travels through a world of nightmares...
~ ~ ~”Sirius…” Sirius blinks. He cranes his neck to look behind him.
A shiver runs up his spine as if a cold, dead finger is stroking it
"Who’s there?!” he calls out to the voice, spinning clockwise to try and catch a glimpse of whatever it is.
Oh no! You can't possibly just end it there! *cries* Why destroy people who are already dead?! Has this world got no PITY!!!???
Anyway, this is a really excellent story. I love the way you used the challenge sentence to give us something so... frightning. And sad. And thought-provoking. And I think the fact that you've written this in present tense makes it so much better. Great job!
Author's Response: Hahah!
Thanks so much. I had trouble adding the challenge sentence in because I was already halfway through with the story before I decided to enter it into the challenge. It was actually thanks to a super helpful beta that my story is in present tense. Kudos to her! Thanks so much for the review!
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione make a trip to Godric's Hollow to visit the Potters' graves. There, Harry speaks to his parents for the first time, and in so doing, discovers that the dead are never truly lost. (One-shot. Bring your kleenex.)
Excellent. Really excellent. But... I expect you knew that already. :D
Summary: SEQUEL to Phoenix Song: Harry survived his attack on Voldemort, but barely. Nursed back to health by creatures that knew more of the darkness of the world then even Voldemort. Harry finds himself with a new future ahead of him and a new life and an even greater darkness that he, himself, had created.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Wonderful chapter, very gripping! 10/10
Summary: Damaged by the war, Harry flees everything that used to be familiar to him and instead roams the night, haunted by unsolvable questions -- what truly killed Voldemort? And what lurks in the Forbidden Forest, where the trees seem alive?
As his investigation progresses, everything Harry has learnt is called into question as he discovers the most jealously kept secret of the Wizarding civilisation.
Eek! I love the first chapter, and usually that means I'm going to love the whole story! Harry's really depressing - but in a good way. :D
Author's Response: Depressing in a good way? Lol. How did I manage that? ;) Thanks for the review, I\'m happy you liked the chapter.
I. Am. Confused. Aw, I was hoping Cho wouldn't be a human-hosepipe any longer - but we can't have everything in life, huh? Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks. Cho was... a parenthesis. I love human hosepipes, they bring a little colour and a lot of water in this grey world (and I officially need a coffee before I start replying to my reviews...).
I loved the Ron-Hermione-Harry reunion, very sweet, very fun. Another wicked chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks. I liked writing the Trio moments.
A WEREWOLF?! *screams* Oh, this is getting so GOOD! :D
Author's Response: *grins from ear to ear*
*gasps* Lupin bit Harry! What a twist! *bounces around insanely* That was like - shocking, I swear. And poor Harry, I hope they don't fire him for being a werewolf... and poor Remus! He must have felt SO guilty. *cries* Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you, and yes I treat Remus a little roughly in this chapter. But he\'ll cheer up.
He's not a werewolf?! What the heck? And Snape is a - a - a DUNDERHEAD! What's he playing at? I wish Harry and Lupin had gone back and transformed with him in the room, really! Hmm.. what else... yes, I'm so glad you put Luna and Fleur into the story and that was a cute thing to do, naming the baby James. ^^ And Ginny - well, I'm sorry, but so far, I'm hating her. She's never been so rude! I suppose I should be sympathetic - BUT I'M NOT! Grr!
Author's Response: YAY! Join the club! :D I precisely wrote Ginny this way because I despise her character. As for Snape, yes that would\'ve been fun, but incompatible with the plot :). Thanks for the review.
A few quotes: “And the day Hagrid gets a Dark Mark, Hermione will marry Malfoy.” and
“Here’s an idea: why don’t we just — cut off all those trees and make a huge bonfire with them? And roast the centaurs on it, while we’re at it?” Loved those! Not much to say about this except - OHMEGEE! What a cliffhanger! If I read this when you first submitted it, I would have MURDERED YOU!
Author's Response: *takes a few cautious steps backwards*
You were lucky to only find the story now then... I had the biggest writer\'s block after this chapter.I liked writing the lines you quoted. Ron is a fun character to write about.
O_O Is Harry teaching? Can he be - I mean, I don't know if he's handsome (probably is, now :p) but young and athletic definitely... unless it's... KRUM! Loved this!
Author's Response: If he had been teaching, I would have said it... No, I\'m talking about a character that will be mentioned in ch8 and appear in ch11. Thanks for the review :)
Summary: "Never used an Unforgivable Curse before, have you boy? You need to mean them, Potter! You need to really want to cause pain - to enjoy it."
Excellent! Amazing chapter, very descriptive.
Summary: Runner-up for the QuickSilver Quills Award, categ. Best Alternate Universe
“No matter the time or place, people should never call their child Marie-Antoinette. There is no happiness in this world for a girl called Marie-Antoinette.”
1983. In a world where Voldemort has won the First War, where hope has fled from an Earth moaning under the Dark Lord's iron hand, marriages are broken and others are arranged in order to preserve the sacred purity of blood. James Potter loses his wife; now they have to find another for him.
Thank you so much for updating! I know how hard it is to write sometimes, but I've been waiting eagerly for a new chapter - this story is simply amazing. I was so angry that she didn't choose Lily, but that would have been too easy, huh? Great writing, can't wait for more. *waits patiently*
Summary: When the Final Battle has past, when the war of all wars has come to an end, what then? What happens after for the Boy, the Man, who lived?
O_O That was amazing. Amazing. Totally amazing. The way Harry talked about Ginny was perfect - not overdone or too fluffy or to "ugh-that-would-never-happen". Perfect. Totally Harry.
Summary: 2008 QSQ Awards Runner-up for Best Post-Hogwarts
Harry defeated Voldemort. Harry married Ginny. Harry and Ginny had five children. Harry disappeared. My name is Lily Potter, and this is the story of what happened when my father returned after six years missing to find my mother about to re-marry. This is the story of myself, my crazy family, and most of all, this is the story of my parents and the man who tried to come between them. (pre-Deathly Hallows)
"Oh, I can so die happy now!" -Sirius Potter
Oh, that was sad... :( Ginny's so... naive! X( Hope this turns out well...
Author's Response: It might . . . keep reading!
Neville/Luna rocks. That's all I have to say. Great chapter!
Author's Response: They are cute :)
Go Harry! Punch him! Break his nose! Kick his a**! Yes!
Author's Response: Haha, exactly!
So sweet! You're an amazing write. :)
Author's Response: Thank you very much!
Harry talking to tummy-baby was THE most adorable/yet believable thing I have ever read. I love you for writing this! GO! :D
Author's Response: Thanks, I\'m glad you can imagine Harry doing that. It does seem like a very Harry thing, doesn\'t it? Thanks for the review!
Cool chapter, one bit I didn't like: Ron should have fought back at the end. Yelled at Ginny. Yup. :p
Author's Response: Maybe.
