Summary: In the years since the fall of Voldemort, Severus Snape has lived outside of Britain. Then one idyllic day at the Burrow, surrounded by a plethora of Weasleys, spouses, and off-spring, Hermione Granger comes face to face again with her former teacher. Why is he even there, and why the hell is he watching her?
Very cute! That was a sure lot of pregnancy and babies (and I live on a military base, not being pregnant is abnormal). I'm glad you didn't have Hermione pregnant with hordes of children, I never pictured her like that.
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."
It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.
But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.
Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!
Please update soon, how riveting of an end!!! I love this story, and I don't read fanfic that much :D
Author's Response: I'm glad I could keep you hooked! Thanks for reading and reviewing!!
So, now Voldy is dead... I wonder what changes are in store for the wizarding world, or if will even change at all.
Hermione is finally free, although I wonder how "free" she really is, after all apparitions are still be monitored as is the flue network, perhaps it's Draco's connections that keep her safe.
I'm actually kind of glad that Hermione sorta broke up with Draco, it's tragic yet realistic, she has been betrayed every step of the way and used as a pawn. I just hope that one day she forgives Draco...
So I suppose one more chapter and then epilogue, or just one chapter with combined epilogue?
The best part of all this is when a door closes another opens, I wonder what you have in store for us next... I'd love to read any sort of fiction you would write (perhaps time to work on that real story?)
Also, if you were to work on your real fiction story, I'd be happy to help edit. I'm actually an English teacher in RL. Either way, keep me on the ground floor of that next adventure!
Author's Response: Hi Katie! As of right now, it's just an epilogue, but it's getting to be pretty lengthy so I might have to split it because of word count restrictions. And my original fiction has been stalled for a couple months. I'm desperate to get the fanfiction bunnies out of my head, and I honestly don't know if I can write original characters with Draco still snarking away in my brain. He's very insistent! Hahaha. But thank you for your offer! I'll keep it in mind, though (obviously) any sort of movement on my original fiction is a long way off. ;) Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!!!
What an ending!!! I can't wait until next chapter, boy you've got us all under your spell. I've seen in your bio that you one day plan on writing a book, I think you really should...after all the world needs another JK :)
Author's Response: Eeee, don't make me blush! JK is a goddess; I'm just a sprite playing around in her world. Thank you so much, though!! :D
If you already wrote up to chapter 30... why is the update time sooo long???
I don't like rushing authors (and I never have before...) But I just want to read more of your story....
I feel like I'm eating the most delicious ice cream ever, but I can only get one spoonful every couple of weeks... I just wanna eat the whole carton!
So yeah, it's like that... w/o the ice cream stomach ache.
I've reviewed not too long ago... but a thought just hit me... Hermione spent months preparing for this place... it seems kinda, unclimatic, that you are kicking her out after two or three chapters. I'm sure you more up your sleeve...I was just giving you a small thought.
Author's Response: All thoughts - big or small - are appreciated! And she's not done with that place quite yet. ;)
Aww come on, it's been over a month now, I'm dying for more :). Not trying to rush, just showing my anticipation.
It was kind of random how Denise and all of them turned on her.... very out of the blue. This chapter had a lot of stuff in it...made it seem a little too fast and clumped together. Still, I love your story, and you for writing it
Author's Response: Hermione had time to process Richard's death, but the rest of the servants did not. His death was a shock to them and, since their lives aren't exactly stress-free, the way they deal with added stress is not always the best way. They looked for a scapegoat and Hermione was ready-made for it. Sorry about the pacing - it's tough to do. :) Thanks so much for reading!!
Yay he is dead! Now for the heroic last battle with the death eaters... I wonder what will happen, will Draco and Hermione have help, or do they have to fight the entire castle?
Author's Response: Questions, questions! Hopefully I won't disappoint! Thanks for the review!
Cool fountain of youth, most people don't stray into that territory with this sort of fic, congrats! I also must add, good use of early European explorers, clever!
Author's Response: Thank you!
I love this fanfic soo much, it's sensual, not smutty and I think Draco is done perfectly! :)
Author's Response: Thank you!! :)
Summary: Rita Skeeter is an infamous journalist whose "savage quill has punctured many inflated reputations." But was she always like the annoying pest who Harry knows? What about her story? How did she become the Rita Skeeter we all love to hate?
This is hestiajones of Hufflepuff House writing for the Untold Story Challenge. It won the challenge, and has been nominated recently for a QSQ in Best General category. :D
Thanks to Fresca (Colores) for betaing! You really helped me give the story a coherent whole. And to Carole (Equinox Chick) too, for the “revenge against the ex” tip. :D
DISCLAIMER: All characters and premises belong to J.K.Rowling. However, the Corner brothers, Simon Rosier and the Thorntons are mine. ;)
Wonderful and believable... seems like it fits into the entire story, and I love how you intelligently use the characters and situations :D
Author's Response: Hey there!
Summary: "There are many stories between the lines." - Jo Rowling, about the Black Family Tree.Cedrella's goal all her life has been to be the perfect Black. She has impeccable manners, commands respect, is always composed, and has never had a friend in her life. But Cedrella has a secret that is about to get a lot more complicated… Septimus is the youngest of seven Weasley brothers. His dearest wish for his seventh year at Hogwarts is to meet the mystery girl he once saw dancing in the Owlery in the dead of night… This story is a romance, but it is also a story about family, owls, and what it feels like to know you are worth something.
I love your characters, especially Cedrell, she is realistic and reaches out to the reader. Charis is a great character too, she is the quintessential product of her society! I would write more, but I am exhausted, I'm sure you would write beautiful original fiction
Author's Response: thank you so much! I'm glad you've enjoyed it :)
Summary: After the war, Hermione returns to Hogwarts to complete her seventh year of studies as Head Girl, only to find Draco Malfoy has been appointed Head Boy. Her life is further complicated by the fact that Headmistress McGonagall is strongly encouraging Malfoy and her to attend one of the three wizarding universities in Europe after they graduate from Hogwarts. The story starts HG/RW, but the focus is on the development of HG/DM.
This review is for the story as a whole!
This is a witty and fun romantic comedy. It is fresh without being out of character. Hermione and Draco's chemistry lights up the story without being the main event. There is just enough drama and thrills to keep the story interesting, however, it does not detract from the over all fluffy.
Overall, it's sweet and sassy, with loads of tender and fluffy moments!
Love it 8)
Author's Response: Thank you for your very nice review. I appreciate your thoughtful comments. As I read it, I kept expecting a "but" or a "however," followed by something bad, but no! :-) You've made me very happy. Thank you, Jenny
Summary: When Korea was divided by a war, twin sisters—Yu Mi-cha and Eun-cha—were separated as well. Almost fifty years later, their granddaughters are brought together through being Muggle-born witches: Kim Hae-won from the South and Ryang Young-jae from the North.
But even in this new world of magic, they are not free of political turmoil, and the Korean wizarding world is on the verge of a choice that could change the world forever.
I would love to help, but I'm not an expert on Korean culture. However, I can recommend some books and movies to familiarize yourself with Korean traditions and mindsets that I enjoyed. Movies - The Classic by Kwak Jae Young, and My Sassy Girl- Kwak Jae Young. Also the book Honolulu is about Korean picture brides by Allan Brennert, it has a lot of Korean culture nuggets.
Anyway, feel free to message or e-mail me anytime with any questions or clarifications, and I'll see what I can answer/research for you!
As a student of Asian studies and culture I have to say you are spot on with Korea. I live in Okinawa and have been to S.Korea several times. Your story is very interesting and original and obviously well researched. Might I ask, do you have Korean family, or just an interest in Korean culture?
Author's Response: Wow, that is certainly high praise. And to answer your question, no, I am not Korean and I really had no particular interest in the culture until I started writing this story. My insperation came from a much more morbid place. Tim the Enchanter is to be blamed for getting me interested in studying dictators, and the Kim dynasty happens to be my poison of choice. The point of this story was to explore the political implications of the split Korea. But might I ask you a favor? Since you are very knowledgeble of the Korean culture, might you make youself available to answer some cultural questions I'll have later down the line?
Summary: Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy attend the Wizarding University of Paris the year after they graduate from Hogwarts. This is a sequel to the Dragon Does the Tickling, where Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy complete their seventh year at Hogwarts after the war.
You really make the characters your own! I was very happy to see you update! Your stories are always so cute!
Author's Response: Thank you for your nice review. I have moved the characters away from where they were in book seven, but I'm glad you seem to like the direction I've gone in. --Jenny
Aww... this is a cute but short chapter, I assume in this or the next chapter we will finally see WUP? So excited!
Author's Response: The story should be about 30 chapters long and most of it takes place at WUP. You'll definitely get to see it! Thanks, Jenny
Those classes sound interesting, it's weird how France is almost okay with Voldemort supporters... I used to love the idea of WUP back in the days of aversion...now it just seems like a place of prejudice. Either way, good chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you for your nice review. I'm trying to build a bit of tension in the story. I hope it's believable. I'm also probably having too much fun inventing classes and such for WUP. But I'm happy to hear you are enjoying it all. Thanks, Jenny
I waited long for this new chapter, I think there is something wrong with mugglenet on firefox. It sucks that WUP is anti-muggle! I hope she becomes friends with Marie.
Author's Response: I think the site is having problems in general, but it appears they are working on it. I feel badly because it slows down the process so much for people who want to keep reading the stories! Thank you for your review, and don't worry, Hermione will make some friends at WUP. :-) --Jenny
