Hi, I live in Southern California, I'm 14 yrs. old, and I'm in 10th grade. I'm in color guard at my high school(just got chosen to be co-captain for my sophomore year), but I used to be in gymnastics and wish I still could be. I love reading, I'm a bookworm and always have been, always will be. I love fantasy, and my favorite series is Harry Potter, of course! I love reading fan fics- especially romance, my favorite ships being R/Hr, H/G, and J/L. I also like reading Hr/D and D/G, but I don't think they're very plausible.
I'm currently in the process of writing my own fic, about the child of Ginny and Harry (don't worry, they're married; it's just gross otherwise), but i'm going to wait until I have at least two chapters completed before i start posting them.
Seventh grader Alexandra Quick returns to Charmbridge Academy. This year she faces bullies from another wizarding school, a secret Dark Arts club, and the machinations of her father, but her greatest trial yet awaits her in the dangerous Lands Below.
This is the second book in the Alexandra Quick series.
Yay! You updated!
Hmm... So she decided to join MMS. I'm not sure that's the wisest decision, especially considering they want their members to sign in blood. I bet the scroll has some sort of hex on it. And what's Maximilian King doing there? I would have thought they'd only invite people who're actually from Charmbridge. Unless the society has branches at the other schools too?
This chapter was really good. I'm not surprised Darla got showed up like that- poor girl. So what exactly is the MASE program? Is it like an exchange program? What is Blacksberg, like some kind of military academy? They sound so rigid and robot-like (until they start talking). I think Alexandra should choose PME as her elective; wasn't she rather good at it last year?
Not a whole lot of action, but I still liked this chapter. Winged horses? Hey, I'd love that! I really hope she finds some way to get to go.
Yay! I was so happy to see the first chapter of another Alexandra Quick story! Haha, that's so typical Alexandra- getting grounded during summer break. What was Ms. Grimm doing in the mall? Was she there to talk to Alexandra about her earlier accidental use of magic? If so, how did she know to find her at the mall? At any rate, she had very good timing- although surely it would have been somewhat better for her just to show up herself, rather than using magic to stop the boys. Shouldn't she be more worried about using magic in front of Muggles?
hahaha! I can't believe David actually went along with it! And I can't believe she actually kissed him! She's really trying to get on Max's nerves, isn't she? We haven't really heard much about the MMS lately, have we? But I'm sure they're not actually subdued- they're probably just biding their time. I wonder if Alex's plan is affecting Darla more than Angelique? Well, I can't wait to find out!

aww, that's cute!

Louisa was an incredibly nosy person, spending all her time with her head hanging out the window, spying on her neighbour, old Mr Weasley. He’s magic and she knows it, but will she ever convince anyone else it’s true? There’s only one way to prove it – she was going to have to trap him in his yard.
Yes, this is from the POV of a Muggle OC.
This is Lizzy of Ravenclaw submitting for the April Fool’s challenge in the Great Hall.
very entertaining :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review =]
Summary: Once upon a time, there was a young witch who fell under an old and terrible curse. At least everyone thought it was a curse because the truth was, no one knew what caused the “Sleeping Beauty Sickness.” It was a rare and strange, but it was famous enough that the Muggles even told stories about how these bewitched girls would wake, but every wizard knew the truth: no one ever woke up. They laid in a coma, aging slowly, until they died. When the child of a famous pureblood family falls ill, she is entrusted to Saint Mungo’s hospital, and instead of a stone tower, is given her own Ward, which becomes a place of scandal and horror.
i like it :)
Author's Response: Thanks
Alexandra Quick returns to Charmbridge Academy for eighth grade, angry and in denial. Unwilling to accept the events of the previous year, she is determined to fix what went wrong, no matter what the cost. When her obsession leads her to a fateful choice, it is not only her own life that hangs in the balance, for she will uncover the secret of the Deathly Regiment!
This is the third book in the Alexandra Quick series.
So why would the ghost, whether it's Max or not, attack Benjamin and the elves? If it is Max, I suppose he would be angry at elves, even though the house elves are very different from those in the Lands Below. But why Benjamin? And why wouldn't he show himself to Alexandra? Is ghost sickness something the ghosts can voluntarily inflict, or an involuntary side effect? It doesn't particularly sound involuntary, based on Angelique's remarks and Alexandra's own experiences with ghosts. Hmmm...in any case, somebody had better explain to Mordecai that Alexandra didn't curse his brother or there's going to be lots of trouble...
Oooh, she's actually going to do it! Wow. Anna's going to be really mad that Alexandra is not trusting her again, assuming she makes it back alive.
AAAAHHHH!!! I need to find out what happens! Of course Alexandra would get into trouble again; when does she not? Wait a second... that evil spirit that was attacking people at Charmbridge... is that going to be one result of Alexandra's messing with time? I bet it is. Hmmm... but will she be successful? I can't wait for the next chapter!
So Darla stunned her, took her Time Turner, did something with it, and then returned it? That's the way it looks to me, at least. I wonder what she would want to change? Especially since she can't go back too far...
How is Alexandra going to clean up this mess with her friends now? Anna's obviously under a lot of stress right now, but that doesn't necessarily mean she'll forgive Alexandra, even if her father is released from prison and her life becomes a little more normal. Poor girl. Was Alexandra's ability to trust horribly damaged when Brian broke their friendship? Or is it just a permanent personality trait, her tendency to keep her own council?
That was an evil cliffhanger!!! Ahh!!! I want to find out what happens! Alexandra is going to get in sooo much trouble. She hasn't even been doing as much stuff as the other years, but trouble seems to keep finding her... she really is a trouble magnet. What killed Ms. Gale? Why was she down there to begin with? Will Alexandra get expelled? I can't stand the suspense...
Another book finished. Amazing job, as always. So... Max and Martin? That was a little bit of a shocker. I never got that vibe from either of them. I think I'm glad Alexandra's finally accepted that she can't bring Max back. She had to do that in order to truly mourn for him, and now she can finally begin the healing process. It sounds like the next book will be really interesting too- Alexandra's growing up, and she's going to try to find some way to let the wizarding world know about the Deathly Regiment. How does she plan to do that? It would almost be easier in the Muggle world, with TV and everything.
Aww, Alexandra's first date! How cute!
Alright, well I look forward to the next book. It's going to be hard to wait that long.
Yikes. That does not sound good. But she got through. Now question is, will she make it back?
Oh, Alexandra. She's going to try to change what happened when Max died, isn't she? Really stupid idea... but I really hope she succeeds. I liked Max. Interesting piece of gossip about Darla's older sister. Will we be hearing more about her later?
