Hi, I live in Southern California, I'm 14 yrs. old, and I'm in 10th grade. I'm in color guard at my high school(just got chosen to be co-captain for my sophomore year), but I used to be in gymnastics and wish I still could be. I love reading, I'm a bookworm and always have been, always will be. I love fantasy, and my favorite series is Harry Potter, of course! I love reading fan fics- especially romance, my favorite ships being R/Hr, H/G, and J/L. I also like reading Hr/D and D/G, but I don't think they're very plausible.
I'm currently in the process of writing my own fic, about the child of Ginny and Harry (don't worry, they're married; it's just gross otherwise), but i'm going to wait until I have at least two chapters completed before i start posting them.
Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.
The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?
wow, this story keeps getting more exciting! i wonder who the thief actually is? how will violet's Christmas with teddy go? keep writing!
Rose was a Weasley. She never gave Scorpius Malfoy a second glance. They were sworn enemies, even though they’d barely even spoken to each other. But sometimes all it takes for love to blossom is a Potions lesson, a few snide remarks and a dropped book.
Two people. Two entirely different worlds that are suddenly intertwined.
I really like your portrayal of Rose and Scorpius. They seem very real. Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums: A Potter's Pentagon Love Story by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 266]
Summary: A companion piece to the Potter's Pentagon trilogy... it's better if you've read the Potter's Pentagon trilogy, but you don't necessarily have to.
It's five years after Emma Weasley and her chums graduated from Hogwarts. Ted and Ivy are married, Haley is working at Madame Puddifoot's while trying desperately to break into show business, Jordan's doing whatever it is he does, and Emma is an Auror trainee working as a guard at the Chudley Cannons' stadium. The Cannons have actually been doing much better lately, due to their new star Beater, Tyrone Thomas. Unfortunately, Tyrone is Emma's ex-boyfriend. OH, THE AWKWARDNESS.
Follow Emma through her awkward adventures told in her usual insane way, as she experiences angst, hilarity, obnoxiously strange people, misadventures involving a deceptively dashing cad, Haley's wedding, the birth of Ted and Ivy's baby, and her own eventual descent into LURRRVE.
Written for the marvellous Vindictus Viridian's Pride and Prejudice NEWTs class on the Fanfiction Beta Boards, based on Jane Austen's fantastic novel, "Pride and Prejudice.".
Nominated in the 2008 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Non-Canon Romance Story! And its lovely (haha) heroine, Emma Weasley, received two nominations for Best Female Original Character, while Haley Potter and Ivy Potter each received one! Thanks so much, guys!
lol, wow. is emma in for the surprise of her life. so, what, is wolfgang involved in that whole feral werewolves deal? is he one of the ferals? haha, i can't believe collins- oops, i mean patrick- ratted her out. the dirty mole! but vaultz has to eventually invite her back, right? i hope he does, otherwise her auror dreams are prtty much shot.
Author's Response: I will say absolutely nothing about Wolfgang except that he has pretty hair. *Zips lips* Hahaha, Patrick is absolutely horrible, but Vaultz will invite her back if he has proof that she's been staying away from Wolfgang for a long enough span of time. Oh, in case you're curious, Vaultz is the Lady Catherine de Bourgh character!
wow, Emma's perspective is absolutely hilarious. i have to say, you've created a very memorable and entertaining character. the story fits well with pride and prejudice, too. can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! That is really a huge compliment, and you've definitely made my day. I'm glad you think Emma's 'memorable' and not, say, 'totally obnoxious.'
Summary: I don’t really know how to start this. I certainly never anticipated all the events and troubles that would come from me being in the wrong place at the wrong time (or maybe it was the right place at the right time?) Those events just seemed to keep galloping down so fast that there was never any time to pause, never any time to breathe.
I suppose since you've heard the news, you think you know what happened, that I turned out just like my no-good-Death-Eater-Dad, which shows that you really don't know the true story at all. So I'll tell you what really happened when Draco Malfoy's son went to Hogwarts and accidentally broke just about every rule in the book, and one or two they never thought necessary to write down.
hmm, interesting. i'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it and thanks for the review!
Winner of the 2008 Quick Silver Quills Award for Best General Story.
The first book in the Alexandra Quick series.
The war against Voldemort never reached America, but all is not well there. When 11-year-old Alexandra Quick learns she is a witch, she is plunged into a world of prejudices, intrigue, and danger. Who wants Alexandra dead, and why?
This story is canon-compliant with the Harry Potter universe, but the characters and settings are all original. I've put a lot of work into envisioning a world as detailed as the original series; I hope you enjoy it.
if the Circle that protected her was the Thorn Circle, why was it necessarily Journey who died in her place? Couldn't it have been any random member? or did the spell specifically target him because he was the one threatening her?
Good question! It might have been random chance, it might have been because Journey was the one threatening her, or it might have been because he was the one who happened to be closest to her. Or there might be more to it. ;)
(I do, in fact, know the answer, but I'm not saying whether or not Ms. Grimm knows the answer...)
wow, i love this story! It's so original and fascinating. So does the dean have some sort of ulterior motive for changing her attitude so suddenly? She was so cold earlier in the year, and now all of a sudden she's almost warm. if Alexandra's not Abraham's daughter (and i still think she probably is) then who's her father? how is this new assistant groundskeeper going to fit into the story? I can't wait to read more! Keep writing!
hahaha! i'm very proud of Alexandra for not losing her temper with the governor-general. i wonder what Dean Grimm was doing during Alexandra's interrogation? i bet she was pacing or chewing her nails, or whatever nervous habit she indulges in private. lol. so was Hucksteen's entire purpose in coming to the commencement ceremony to get a chance to talk to Alexandra?
wow. i'm rather surprised her father finally contacted her. why now, and not earlier? does the timing have anything to do with general-governor Hucksteen's visit? i'm a bit surprised at Alexandra's response, too, although i can see where it came from. i thought she'd be too curious and impatient to give her father an answer like that, but i guess her pride and anger and hurt won out. i'm sad the story's over! i don't want to have to wait to find out what will happen to Alexandra. you've created an amazing story.
I knew it was Ben Journey! but why did he want to kill her, if he was part of the Circle? Is her father still alive? Why does Ms. Grimm care about her so much?
His fears? Flying...his own wand...fitting in...sticking out! His best friends? A passionate fire-breathing cousin, and a cool, aloof Death Eater's son. His destiny? Anything but ordinary!
Join Albus as he experiances his first year at Hogwarts and begins the journey out from under his father's collosal shadow, if he can survive it of course!
Meet the new Tenacious Trio, Albus Potter, Scorpius Malfoy, and Rose Weasley
i rlly liked this chapter- very nice
Thanks for taking the time to drop a note an tell me so!
Summary: Draco somehow managed to get his very own advice column in Hogwarts' school paper, where he gives his sage opinion to those who dare to ask for it. Feel free to write in for advice about love, life, school, family, anything you can think of! But remember... with Draco, you tend not to get the answer you expected!
Author's Response: I love making you guys laugh!
Summary: The final installment in the Potter’s Pentagon Trilogy. Read “The Five” and “The Truth” first, myess? Okay!
WARNING! Contains Muggle adventures in Diagon Alley, unusual eyebrows, cheesy clichés galore, psycho Ted, the not-so-lost years of Merlin, a school-wide singalong, the old potato joke, Tyrone’s Princess Bride obsession, Emma’s stubborn denial of the existence of Tyrone’s mustache, a graphic death, a joke shop product as a major plot device, hobo Jordan, Jordan hugging, Jordan pulling pranks, time travel, the Love Shack, angst, and worst of all, Professor Zabini.
It’s the sixth year for Potter’s Pentagon and company, and our heroes learn that in the wizarding world, coming of age has a somewhat weightier significance. Students are busy with an Inter-House Unity Project, Jordan is having weird dreams, Pansy and Ophidias Malfoy have been released from Azkaban, Professor Zabini has a mysterious project of his own, and almost everyone is acting strangely. Meanwhile, at the Ministry of Magic, a man with a vendetta against Ron Weasley is trying his hardest to get him in the biggest trouble possible. Is the only way to save him to travel into the past?
New talents are discovered, new friendships form and old ones change, pasts are dredged up, and, of course, there’s lots of good old-fashioned snogging. And one of the five kills for the first time… while another becomes a casualty of war.
Starring 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Male Original Character runner-up Jordan Potter, Best Female Original Character nominees Ivy Potter, Haley Potter, Emma Weasley, and Giorgi Anderson, and Best Male Original Character nominee Ted Lupin! Nominated for 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Post-Hogwarts Story.
What does Zabini know that the others don't? And is he planning on telling Ted, or will Ted just have to find out himself?
Author's Response: Welll.... Zabini knows who stole the cookies from the cookie jar! And Ted's like, who me? And Zabini's like, yes you! And Ted's like, couldn't be! And then Zabini's all, then who?
yes! the princess bride is awesome! wow, so things are getting really interesting. how is jordan going to save emma? i can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Thank you! And I'm so glad there are so many Princess Bride fans! But... who's saying Jordan will save Emma, eh? She's a strong, independent woman.
wow. that's pretty cool. so does Haley get any cool magical abilities? and what about that vision about Emma that Jordan had? Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Ah, as much as Haley wants to magically shoot glitter beams out of her eyes, she doesn't get any particularly special magical gifts-- because Gryffindor's real power wasn't magical. He was just tremendously brave and loyal in his own way. And Haley is, too, as you'll see!
Summary: Time is the magic that transforms the words and deeds of mortals to myth and fable. Who were the Hogwarts Four? Who were the people behind the legends? This is the story of the monk and maven, healer and hero who lived and dreamed and built a school in years long gone.
I really liked it. It's well written and you put a lot of research into it. The only thing I would ask more of it is that it's really short. We don't really get to see the journey the characters make, the formation of the school. We only learn about it second-hand through their memories. Other than that, it was amazing. You breathed life into the characters that before were merely placeholders.
Author's Response: Gosh, I think that is my favorite criticism - "its too short!" I agree, there is a whole story waiting to be told of the first years of the school. I think that it would be most interesting to tell it from the point of view of an apprentice - with perhaps alternate chapters by the Founders. I have some drabbles posted about the initial years of the school - things that didn't make it into the story. Following one of the first classes would be intriguing.
Seventh grader Alexandra Quick returns to Charmbridge Academy. This year she faces bullies from another wizarding school, a secret Dark Arts club, and the machinations of her father, but her greatest trial yet awaits her in the dangerous Lands Below.
This is the second book in the Alexandra Quick series.
Oh, Alex. Getting involved in things she shouldn't, like usual. I'm rather surprised the elves are still willing to see her- it seems like she's always wanting them to do somethiing for her they don't want to do. But they probably appreciate her giving them any notice at all. I can't wait to read more!
Ha, I knew Dean Grimm would never do something so reckless! Wow, her twin, huh? I get the feeling they're not exactly on the best of terms. So is her card charmed so Alexandra can't throw it out? Or destroy it? I wouldn't put it past her. I'm so happy you updated so quickly! I love this series. Can't wait to read more!
Yay! Go Alexandra! I'm very happy she finally quit the MMS. That was very smart of her.
Alexandra's getting smarter in other ways, too. For example, noticing that Dean Grimm hadn't wanted to allow Darla back in. Last year, she probably wouldn't have noticed that. I like how she's maturing. Good chapter!
