Puzzled Silence by Caren H
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 95]

Summary: As the kiss grew deeper she didnít analyze what was happening to her, why she was kissing him back, and why he was kissing her. For once she didnít think at all. And she was okay with not knowing all the answers.

This piece is a seventh year, One-shot concerning Hermione and Draco that will either puzzle you, or intrigue you. I might warn you of slight AU, it depends on your take on this piece. We already know that this couple wouldn't exist in canon anyway, so please bare with. This was my very first HG/DM pairing and I did my best to avoid any...cliche's with this complex couple. And really, let my know your opinions. Criticism, flames, well hopefully not, or kind words are deeply appreciated.

You know what? I really liked it. A lot.
It was a very nice idea, and I think you've done it full justice. Great job. I really didn't think I would ever like a HG/DM fic (this is the first I've read) and I acutally liked it.

A Different Kind of Love by Nymphea
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 58]

Summary: James gives Lily a letter on the last day of sixth year:
I’m going to be perfectly honest with you—I’m not that good with feelings. I usually just ask Remus; he’s pretty good with that sort of thing. But I can’t ask Remus to write this letter for me, so you’re just going to have to bear with me while I set the record straight before the school year ends and I forget how to describe my feelings about things between us. A Different View On Love by helz_belz
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 364]

Summary: James would do anything to get inside Lily’s head. Lily would do anything to get away from James. Lily was brewing a banned potion. James went to find her. Lily made a mistake and the potion exploded. James got his wish, but is it much more than he bargained for?

Now Complete!

After a year the Epilouge is now up! Come read for a bit of fun!!

Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance

Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.

Um... Oh My God!!!!!!

Before anything else, let me just clarify this is probably one of the absolute most awesome fanfic based on LE/JP I have ever read!

And also, I should add I am risking getting caught and punished severly just to read the story...

Whe I read the summary, I had the audacity to believe the story might be too vulgar, I mean, come on, a guy and girl exchanging bodies? That totally creeped me out. But the when you story was completed and I saw the number of reads and also, the stuff about the QSQ(This story totally deserved to win!), I couldn't resist. I mean, James and Lily are the perfect pair to play with when it comes to romance... We know so much about them and yet so little. I decided to read just the first chapter, but I just kept going on and before I knew what was happening, I had overshot my allowed online time and the story got over!

The best part of the story is that it is so believeable. That the whole thing could've happened like that. Of course, I mean, it needen't have been so dramatic, but then again, why not!

The only thing I felt was lacking in the story (forgive me for being honest =D), was that you rarely mentioned the war and Voldemort's rise in the story. Whenever I think of this particular couple I feel like their lives must've been as influenced by Voldemort as Harry's. So, I always felt something or the other would keep going very badly wrong to make the story more tragic...beautiful. It's like the shadow is forever looming over them, ready to engulf them as soon as their purpose, so to say, on Earth was completed...

Besides that, though I absolutely enjoyed the story. It was definately not vulgar, just exactly right for the plotline you used, and also extremely convincing...

Thanks for giving me the pleasure of reading it!

Kiwi

Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the wonderful review! I hope you didn't get caught reading this too late. I'm glad you read the story despite thinking it might be a bit too vulgar. I tried to keep family friendly, while dropping in a bit for older people too. The drama was for pure entertainment value.

I agree with you in a sense about the Voldemort thing. If I could re-write this story (if I had that much time) I would definitely put a little more Voldemort in there. Originally, however, I never intended to have any serious moments, besides the locket scene. It was intended to be much more lighthearted then it was. So, I suppose, in the end I wanted to focus more on the relationship/personal struggles of Lily and James rather than Voldemort. That, and add some slapstick humour.

Thanks once again for your wonderful review. I can't believe it's been more than six months since I finished this story! Maybe one day I will finish that epilouge...

Summary: I swear, there must have been twenty people at my wedding like this: giving me a playful shove, they lean in conspiratorially and whisper in my ear, “Congratulations, Lil…I knew you’d give in to him eventually!”—only when it’s an older person talking the playful shove becomes a pinch of the cheek, and I am invariably referred to as “dearie”.

Summary: “Muggle women wear them, Archie, not the men, they wear this.”

Remember ol’ Archie from GOF? Well, now you’ll know why he refused to give up his flowery gown for a pair of trousers.

Author's Response: Haha! Oh well, we had this April Fool competition at the beta boards, and for some reason, Archie and his flowery gown kept popping up in my (not-so-clean) mind. :D Thanks for reading and reviewing!
