My Deliverance by TwinSuns
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 426]
Summary:
Voldemort's rising reign of terror, NEWTs, death attempts, a Headship, a tangled affair with James Potter, hilarity, grief, love, secrecy, maddness... it's almost hard to believe that I've survived to graduate. I am Lily Evans, and this is my 7th year.
I really love your story so far! It's enjoyable to see a different side to the James/Lily story. It's always made out to be really funny whereas you put some reality into it...there truly wasa war going on and you own up to that in your story. Ud SOON!
I can't believe you just cliffhangered!! Ah!!
Please update soon-veryyyyy good story you have here!

Challah and Pumpkin Juice by Calico
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 119]
Summary: Tzipporah Stein, a Jew living in Vienna, Austria on the eve of WWII, is shocked when she gets a letter telling her she is a witch. The volatile state of Europe as it waits for both a muggle and a wizarding war to begin has prompted Hogwarts to take in students from many countries. How will Tzipporah handle magic, mischief, and even a little romance while trying to be true to her religion and culture at the same time?
Ah ha! So a Potter is involved! It's possible, then, that Tzippora is related to Harry...or not. Oh the mystery!
This just keeps getting more interesting!
I have no idea if you know about this and it would be extremely hard to bring it into a story...but will you bring in shomer negiah? My friends and I are both curious about that. I'm also nervous for the poor girl...when she finds out what's going on in vienna, she'll be devastated! I really can't wait to read the next chapter!
Author's Response: I agree it would be pretty hard to bring shomer negiah into this story, especially because Tzipporah breaks it by shaking hands with Dumbledore in chapter three (although I know it\'s disputed whether that actually counts). Still, with my plans for a romance (even a G-rated one), it would be hard to work this in. As for what\'s going to happen in Vienna, let me just say that Tzipporah\'s reactions are most definitely devastated, and even more so because of the friends she makes at Hogwarts who are all dealing with the results of WWII and/or Grindelwald\'s attacks.
Once again, interesting touch. I hope she tells her friends soon-im wondering if you'll make them hate her for it...but maybe they won't cuz they like the challah ;)
can't wiat for next ud!
amazing prologue! so nice to see a jewish witch ;)
-Ariella
I have been watching this fic for awhile and I really loved it-im almost sad it's over- but what an ending! It was so interesting to see Harry Potter with Jewish parts-thanks so much for writing this story! I really enjoyed it!
Extremely interesting, I love the use of the yiddish words. It sounds very accurate with what was going on at the time also. I hope you ud soon!
i do love this story!!
so far, it's truly brilliant. i did think it was a bit much to take on shomer negiah :) i definitely understand. even the rest of the laws will probably prove hard to fit into the world of harry potter but i cant wait to see how you do it!
Once again, a great chapter-specifically the sorting hat song! I really enjoyed that. The excerpt from the next chapter makes me nervous and curious...will she ever tell her friends of her Jewish background?
When Worlds Collide by jenny b
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 254]
Summary:
Rose was a Weasley. She never gave Scorpius Malfoy a second glance. They were sworn enemies, even though they’d barely even spoken to each other. But sometimes all it takes for love to blossom is a Potions lesson, a few snide remarks and a dropped book.
Two people. Two entirely different worlds that are suddenly intertwined.
I really enjoyed this last chapter!
Rose is so cute...all flustered about it :)
Author's Response: Thanks! Rose is adorable, isn\'t she?
I really think you've started out well. You gave Rose a really cute, sweet personality and you didn't make Malfoy and her have an overbearing relationship right away which I think many people do. ud soon!
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you liked my characterisation. I\'ll post the next chapter soon!
YAY!! finally..i have been waiting for that moment when they'd really get together. well done!! ud soon!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked it, love. And I AM updating reasonably quickly ... I think the past two chapters were within a week of each other.
Who Killed the King? by PadfootnPeeves
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 5]
Summary: A murder.
That’s what Percy Weasley finds when he comes back to work after his sick leave. As quickly as the news reaches the Wizarding public, Percy and his family (and enemies) are thrust into the ordeal, promised great heaps of gold if they play a game.
The task? To find out whom the murderer is. Their guide? Only little scraps of paper, with various words that don’t seem to have a meaning. A task that seems so easy suddenly becomes more difficult...
But mystery becomes mayhem when chaos settles in. Will they find the murderer, or just all be killed instead?
All they know for sure was that Percy was never taking a day sick again.
~Based on the lovely book, The Westing Game, by the very talented Ellen Raskin.
Wow-the westing game is one of my favourite books! I'm so excited to see where this story goes-ud soon!
Author's Response:
Thank you! I\'ll submit Chapter two when it comes back from the beta.

I never really understood why people wrote in dairies. I still don't and I write in one. I named mine White Lilies. I can't explain now though, I think Petunia's about to blow.
Five, Four, Three, Two ....
"What do you mean Lily has a friend from school coming over! I don't want any more Freaks in this house then we already do! Make them leave!" My sister, everyone. Boy, this is going to be one long day.
it's short but a good start! im intrigued!

Persephone by obsessed_with_jo
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 141]
Summary: It's 1959 and Persephone Marcello is in her seventh year at Hogwarts. She's fairly apathetic about the whole matter; the only thing her parents want her to do is marry a rich man while she's still young and have lots of children. But everything around her is changing. She and her sisters are growing older, her friends are falling in love, and she's afraid she might be, too. All of a sudden, nothing seems certain anymore, and Persephone is absolutely terrified.
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Original Character: Persephone Marcello
This looks like it'll be really interesting!
What worries me is the teacher/student romance warning-poor persephone!
Love the name Persephone though, by the way-Ud soon.
Author's Response: Thanks so much =]
