Summary: As Harry begins his quest for the remaining horcruxes, his world is turned completely upsidedown by the return of Severus Snape, and Harry learns more than he ever thought possible about Snape, his parents, and the burning question of Dumbledore's death.
Oh my goodness. This story is an incredible alternative Book 7 Keep it going.
Author's Response: Thanks!
I really hope you have another chapter ready to queue. This is really intriguing. Is Snape going to be able to help Harry with his search for the Horcruxes?
Author's Response: I'm moving this week, so a new update won't be ready soon. But it will come. Thanks for reading
Harry Potter and the Heart of the Hero. by Jeograph
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 135]
Summary: Dumbledore is gone, or is he? Harry feels the weight of the world rests on his shoulders, but he is soon to learn that his brooding nature and desire to face his fate alone may be his greatest weakness. It is his emotions, or rather his capacity for emotion that makes him strong, and his relationships his greatest source of strength.
When the summer begins and he faces a fortnight with the Dursleys everything he knows, or rather thinks he knows comes into question. Can he... should he do this all alone? And is he anywhere near ready?
Hogwarts is to be re-opened, the Ministry officially endorsing it as the safest possible place to be. As his birthday approaches there are monumental surprises in store for Harry. Who is he really? And what about his family, who came before his mother and father? Why is the Potter name so famous, and yet so unknown?
Encouraged not to run off to face his fate he returns to Hogwarts for his final year, but surprises abound at the school as well.
Can Harry become the wizard he needs to be to face the Dark Lord? Will he let the people he respects and love really help him? And what of help from unexpected sources; sources he might never trust?
This is bloody brillant ! I must add you to my favorites, so I can read your take on Book 7. Imagine a pocket sized Dumbledore, Perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you for reading, and thanks so much for the review! I hope you continue to read the story and I truly hope you enjoy it and continue to review.\r\n
\r\nThanks again... SO MUCH.
Jeo,
Perfect! I love reading about the Manor. Your imagination has come up with some very special Magic. The Library sounds lovely. Even better, the newest Magical creature. I suppose you will have an unconventual way for Hermione order the books she'll need. So far we have only seen Jarvy. I expect we'll be seeing more House Elves, also free, but still loyal. Having the Wedding at the Manor is wonderful, but I can see some possible problems. Unless the guests will arrive at the Burrow and be led to the Manor. Please don't be too long with the next.
FoM
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you!
This was a bit of a fluff chapter, but I love when I can interject more magic into this particularly magical world. I figure the creatures in the Library are some form of Pixie, but I am not concerned with giving them a specific name. We will see more of them as Hermione spends more time in the Library doing research. Once we get to Harry's Birthday we will see a lot more of the Manor, at least until school begins. (Chapter after next!) We will also begin a more concerted effort toward the Horcrux search. More House-Elves... Hmm? You are right about security and the wedding. Right now the only way to get the Manor is with the Portis Omnibus so yes, guests will have to arrive at The Burrow, that way no one will actually know where they are and the Fedilius Charm can be preserved.
Next chapter should be up soon, just getting past a Beta reader.
Oh wow. I like the idea of the knob. I've often wondered about Harrys Grandparents as JKR never mentioned them other than in the Mirror of Erised.
Author's Response: Yes... it has been one of my goals in conceiving this fan-fic, that I would try to explore areas left untouched by JKR herself.\r\n\r\nIt means of course that I am creating a good deal of my own separate \"fanon\" for this story, but I guess that is what makes it all fun.\r\n\r\ntank you so much for you kind words, and I do hope you continue to read.
Wow, another great chapter. I loved the end with the Muggle shooting the last Death Eater, Cool.
Author's Response: I am so glad you liked that. I am not exactly sure how much of a role our Mr. Fleming is going to play in future chapters, but you can be sure y ou will see more of him here and there.
\r\n
\r\nHave you figured out who he is?\r\n
\r\nThanks for the read, and the reviews.\r\n
Jeo,
I will confess that the Draco portion of this story has not been my favorite. That Draco has changed and is willing to change more is very encouraging. I always thought that Draco was strictly a parrot of his father without choice. It's good that he has had this chance. I now wish that Narcissa had been able to live to see the change. I look forward to the further transformation of Draco. The Riddle portion continues to turn my stomach. I kept thinking that the note Severus received was a set up by the dork lord. So Sev really had no choice but to turn them in. If they weren't a set up, that will be one more burden on his heart. Someday Severus will triumph.
Write More,
FoM
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words! I am glad you are beginning to come around on the Draco transformation portion of the story. He still has a way to go, but he at least is now in a place were he can really start making changes in his life.
Snape remains complex. I have been purposely scuttling the fence with him. Right now he is trapped in an impossible situation. He really had no choice but to do what he did. Either he has really gone over to Voldy's side, or he is so deep under cover that he has to carefully protect his position and that means doing some very difficult things. Such as occurred in this chapter. I hear your plea for his eventual acting for the right.
More is underway and I hope to get it posted a bit quicker this time! Thanks again for reading!
Jeo,
Another mystery of both the Manor and Riddle. Though I can see him killing the Dragon for his powerful heartstring, the rest not so much. Nowhere in the books did it ever allude to Riddle having any interest in women. In fact I got the distinct impression that he hated them. As much as Bella adores him, he feels nothing. I suspect the ingestion of snake venom and the splitting of his soul has made him less than human. I also have to add that reading that part made me ill. The happenings at the Manor though, showed wondrous magic. I suspect ancient magic. I am intrigued at why Hermione was accepted? She must have ties to one on the list, but who? The Evans family, Lily must descend from a Wizarding family that somehow was turned Squib. I look forward to the next. I have mixed feelings about Harry unfreeing Jarvy. Though Jarvy will be just as happy. In fact he must have a clue as his secret keeper status was removed from him. Perhaps he knew that he had to be freed temporarily. Most house elves hate the thought of being free. I'll be waiting.
FoM
Author's Response: Yes, things are getting more and more complex. Enjoyably so, I hope. The scene with Voldy is meant to be a bit sickening. As it is all about his desire to have total command of everything around him, including people. I realize that JKR never alluded to Voldemort having any interest in women, and I suspect that was largely due to her intended audience. I believe I am aiming at a slightly older reader and so I want to show just how rotten our villain really is. I understand if it is a bit much for some, and I promise it is not something you are likely to a lot of as the story continues. but it was a good opportunity to show just how vile he really is.
Jarvy was well aware of his status as a free Elf, and he was not particularly happy about it He is much happier now, knowing that his place as the head Elf is more secure.
You can be sure that it will be revealed just how Hermione is related. I cannot for a second imagine Hermione failing pursue that particular mystery, can you?
I hope you will enjoy the conclusion of the chapter... I just posted it. As always, thanks for reading and reviewing!
Jeo,
I'm glad you posted this chapter. I love your take on Harry's coming of age, at least so far. I look forward to the next part. Harry is so noble and so right in going slow. I am wondering why there hasn't been any hint of Riddle and his thugs. I'm sure he's not going to be silent much longer.Don't make us wait too long.
FoM
Author's Response: Oh... you are going to love the second half of Harry's Birthday! (bites tongue) Sorry I'm not telling. It is making the rounds with my Beta's hopefully it will be up in a week or so.
Happy reading!
Jeo,
All I can say is Oh my Goodness! A very special birthday for Harry. I did wonder why Arthur and Molly didn't give Harry Fabians watch? The watch they did give him sounded spectacular, but very expensive. I guess I wondered too, why there wasn't an heirloom watch for Harry? His Grands certainly left him everything else. But after listening to Molly's tale it makes sense that they were the ones to give it to him. I was also waiting for when Harry makes Jarvy his servant Elf again, But the happy occasion had to be disturbed, such a shame. I do hope everyone comes back, Now I will wait for the next, which looks to be about Draco. Your story just keeps growing better and better.
FoM
Author's Response: If there was an heirloom watch for Harry it was with James and may or may not still be located at the cottage in Godricks hollow. As to why they gave him a brand new one, well... it seems they recently came in to quite a lot of money so spending money on an expensive watch was no problem.
As for Jarvy, he was recaptured by Harry right at the very end of the Heart-stone scene, but it could have been easy to miss. As the brightness of the stone fades, Harry is seen standing up from kneeling next to Jarvy and the Elf is glowing golden, just as seen when Harry captured Dobby and Winky.
And sorry for disturbing the happy occasion, but you didn't think it could slide by without any interruption did you?
As always, thank you so very much for reading and especially for commenting.
Jeo,
I am so glad you finally posted. I do hope the next is on its way to be read. I am sorry that Narcissa passed. It will free Draco to be the man he wants to be, not is lead to be. He needs lets go of his hate for Harry, it will transform him. One little mistake I noticed. You wrote the word waste to indicate the middle area of Draco's body, it's actually spelled waist. The other is a word for trash. Keep writing!!!
FoM
Author's Response: Very glad to see that someone I recognize is still here!
The next chapter just has to get past some beta reading, though I am thinking about a couple of quick changes before I post, but don't worry it is on its way. Yeah, I was sorry to let Narcissa go too, but it just had to be done, as you correctly observed it is necessary for Draco's development.
I will find that misspelling and make the correction, thanks!
And I am glad to be back. It has been a couple of hard struggle years, unfortunately my published book has not really amounted to anything so while I am still working on another novel, I just really wanted to get back to this story. It never seems to leave me. I do hope you continue to enjoy it.

Summary: Dudley Dursley gets married to a wonderful wife and has two perfect sons. Everything seems to be perfect in his life until an unexpected letter arrives at his doorstep- his son is a wizard! Is Dudley going to have to relive his dreaded childhood?
Dear Fans,
I know that I have not been on Mugglenet FanFic in SEVERAL months and I am sorry. These past months and year have been so crazy, hectic, and frustrating there has been no time for DD. I am sad to tell that I will not be finishing DD unless a random amount of freetime appears.
Instead of leaving my fans to a cliff-hanger, I might be writing an ending chapter to summarize how I planned to finish DD. I am so sorry for all my fans! I appreciate your time in reading and reviewing- you guys are wonderful! 200 reviews! Thanks to my fans!

Oh Please write the next chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm also looking forward to the confrontation between Harry and Dudley.
Summary: Dudley Dursley never hated Harry Potter, but he did want what was in his room. Humour, one shot - post GOF.
Great, I really like stories that somehow show the Dursleys the Magical world

Chapter 2: Surprises Now Up! Please, guys, read and review! I would love to hear what you think about the story!
Beautiful when it comes to Harry and Ginny. A bit scary with Ron. More, more, more. and soon, soon soon!!!!!
Author's Response: Someone actually emailed me the other day asking when I was going to update...truth be told, I haven't thought a lot about it...But now that it has been brought to my attention that it is somewhat rude to keep my readers waiting for such an extended period of time, I'm sorry. And I am currently writing CHAPTER THREE: A LETTER FROM THE MINISTRY! Thanks for staying committed, and I'm sorry once again. Keep your eyes PEELED! Andrea
Of Christmas Past by Chaser921
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 542]
Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.
The warning is for later chapters.
Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?
Oh my, Harry's going to have to do a memory charm. As much as I'd like Harry to have time with his parents he can't change the future, can he?
I'm so glad this chapter finally came up. It's been sent to my inbox as an alert for a long time but I could never get it to come up. It was worth the wait. What a difficult dilemma for Harry, unable to fix things so that he can have his parents. If Peter shows up, Tonks better give him food poisoning quickly. I do wonder how Remus will react to this whole thing. It's been so long since I read the prior chapters, I don't remember who know of the time travelers and who doesn't. Christmas is going to be interesting. I'm still enjoying this. I believe that Dumbledore is at the door. I hope all is going well for you now.
Finally the link worked, I've been getting alerts it seems for a week. This is a fascinating tale. I do agree that Remus shouldn't know Tonks, he fought it enough without this knowledge. The plot is still thickening. Hoo Yah!
This is a Wonderful story. A ingenious way of giving Harry some time with his parents. I look forward to the rest. Write fast ;-) Please
Excellent! This is one wonderful story.
Oh goodness. Why oh why can't they have this one holiday together, without the threat of Riddle???? Things were going sooo good. Well I'm hoping that the alert I got today for chapter 16 will be available soon. (when I clicked on it nothing showed). This is a really terrific time travel fiction.
Author's Response: It should have been validated; I was told it was, anyway. Chapter 16 is definitely in the queue, and should be up really soon.
