I discovered fanfic about 6 months ago. Being bored at work, I found a site that had stories online, and well, I liked 'em! And I like Potter. So that's how I ended up here.
I do have a story all written up, I haven't uploaded yet. Here's to it coming in soon!
Summary: Remus is tired, and his heart aches.
Sadly, this is wonderfully written. And I hate you for depressing me in the middle of this beautiful day. Good work.
Summary: [Year 1: Complete] Harry's a Slytherin and friends with Draco Malfoy. How will his years at Hogwarts turn out, now that he's a Slytherin? Will he turn to the Dark Arts and be a follower of Voldemort? Or will he kill Voldemort, or die trying, after he learns of the prophecy? Will Harry's choices lead him down a different road? Follow and you will see..."The first step, my son, which one makes in the world, is the one on which depends the rest of our days." -Voltaire
The story is really good, but I think some parts could've been edited. Like the fact that Snape lets his students call him Snape? Snape would never let anyone address him willingly by his surname, usually it's considered rude (unless you're really close to the person). Plus Snape is their head of house. Also I'm surprised that you didn't write anything about the fact that no slytherin asked about his parents being purebloods. But don't get me wrong, I I liked your story! Gonna read the next one asap :)
P.S. It's 'Owlery', not Owlry.
Author's Response: That\'s true about Snape letting his students call him Snape, but I wanted to show a difference between Harry and the other Slytherins. I guess I could\'ve done it another way.
Hmmm...that\'s interesting about the Pureblood thing. I never even thought about that with Harry, just with the other students. But perhaps I\'ll add soemthing like that in the next story!! I like the idea, so thanks!
Thank you!! I hope you like the next story too!! ~Sara
Summary: [Year 2: Complete] Its Harry’s second year as a Slytherin, and the Chamber of Secrets has been opened. The Heir of Slytherin is out there somewhere, having students petrified left and right, and by the end of the year someone will die from Slytherin’s horrible beast. But this time, Harry's the one with Riddle's diary.
How will Harry’s years at Hogwarts turn out, now that he's a Slytherin? Will he turn to the Dark Arts and be a follower of Voldemort? Or will he kill Voldemort, or die trying, after he learns of the prophecy? Will Harry's choices lead him down a different road? Follow and you will see...
“What is a diary as a rule? A document useful to the person who keeps it, dull to the contemporary who reads it, invaluable to the student, centuries afterwards, who treasures it.” –Ellen Terry
I likes. Much better than the previous one, and you included the pureblood / halfblood business! :)
This part made me get a little depressed:
Mr. Padfoot wants this Harry Potter, who’s a bit big headed, to have a good day.
Mr. Prongs entirely agrees with Mr. Padfoot’s statement on both accounts.
Mr. Moony thinks Mr. Potter must be one of the best wizards in the school to have come across an object like this, even though he seems egotistical.
Mr. Wormtail instructs Mr. Potter to use this object wisely, and he too hopes he has a good day.
Ugh. I wish he could find out about James, Sirius and Remus. It's a shame nobody tells him about his parent. In fact, Isn't he even the teensiest bit curious?
I was a bit angry that he chose to share the Marauders' Map with Draco. He is a bit slytherin-ish, I guess. Nicely portrayed.
Author's Response: Thank you!!! I\'m glad you liked it!! It is much better written than the first, I think.
I know! It\'s so sad and slightly aggravating that no one tells Harry anything about this family! He needs to know!
Thanks again! ~Sara
Summary: Hermione Granger finds herself in an unusual place, an unusual time for that matter. Through an unintentional mishap, she is tossed right into the mix with James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black. Will she make it back to her own time without altering the future irreparably? And what will happen when she returns?
Thanks to everyone who nominated this story for a Quicksilver Quill, and congratulations to the winners!!
Nice. Very Nice. I like the way you write. Your stories have good, solid plots and hold together very well. And char development is cool. What happens to Ron and Hermione? Do they ever make up?
Summary: Three words:
Remus's First Kiss.
A completely fluff-filled one shot from the Marauder era. Enjoy!
I've just joined MNFF, but I've been following Kickin' It At The Top for a while now, so I thought I'd have a gander at your other stories as well.
The lone Wolf is very well done, the story is well fleshed out, and Kate is a brilliant OC. You've managed to build on the Potterverse quite well.
Please write more Marauder stories!
Summary: This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but -
[A Peter Pettigrew character sketch, set during DH. Somewhat psychological.]
Very, very nice. I'm not that massive a fan of Wormtail (Padfoot, Padfoot! O where art thou, Padfoot ) but this was nice. especially the epithets he hands out (Sirius-who-is-insane, James-Prongs-The-Leader et al). It would be how he thought of them. Even McGonnagall didn't have a very high view of him. I like that he feels some regret, but can't get over it enough to redeem himself. Makes him more human somehow.
Summary: A Marauder-era fic - this story takes a look at all the characters we've come to love (and hate), as well as an OC or two thrown in for good measure. Follow the Marauders through seven years at Hogwart's, with appearances from the infamous Black sisters, Lucius Malfoy, Regulus Black, and of course the one and only Severus Snape.
There are a bunch of pairings in this story (although romance is not necessarily the central theme) to include James/Lily, Lucius/Narcissa, a splash of Lucius/Bella and unrequited Snape/Lily, and finally, plenty of Sirius/OC. Enjoy!
Over 120,000 reads! Wow! Thanks everyone!
This was without a doubt one of the most beautiful stories I have read. The ending was beautifully done, following Sirius' descent into near madness and then forgiveness and reunion. And for Snape as well.
The epilogue was simply a wonderful freebie. It was absolutely worth following this story. This is practically canon for me, honestly. Anne x Sirius is freaking CANON in my head.
I actually grieve a little for Anne. And I'm not that sentimental by nature. At ALL. Thanks man. Good job.
Summary: Was it possible to save two lives in the past without altering history? Was it possible to give his parents a future twenty years after they had supposedly died? Teddy Lupin thought so...
First off, that was incredibly mean.
Second off, wtf???? : (
That's got to be the most horrible thing I've ever heard! No court would SHOULD allow wilful execution of two people who HELPED themattain the peace they had : (
I'm crossing my fingers and hoping your love of loony loopy Lupin will allow for a law-bashing reprieve :D
Either that or Harry will kill everyone in the room :D
Me need update!
