Send Not to Know - A Christmas Story by Subversa
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 195]
Summary: Non-compliant with both HBP and DH. An annoying event causes Hermione to choose to spend the Christmas break in seventh year away from her best friends, but Dumbledore feels she needs someone to watch over her. How will Hermione react to the appearance of the Potions master on her doorstep -- and how will they interact when cooped up alone together for days on end2006 SS/HG Winter Exchange on Live Journal, for the prompt: A weekend alone for Hermione in the Granger?s residence. Suddenly the Potions master turns up on her door step. For whom the bell rings, it rings for you.
I totally love this story! It fits in nicely with the Christmas at hand.
But it is sad that Snape left Hermione with such typical behavior. I'm sure he still fancies her in spite of having to 'get back to business' so to speak.
I look forward (anxiously) to part 2 and the rest of the story! Keep up the good work!
I loved it! A wonderful story and I hope there's more to come!
Subversa, you did a wonderful job with this story! Congratulations and thank you for giving us such a heartwarming tale of love. Who knew Severus Snape could be such a romantic, even in his riugh and aggressive style.
And a Merry Christmas to you too!
Borderline by MaiaMadness
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 10]
Summary:
Really sad and heartbreaking story. Poo r Remus! I know the feeling of loss too as I no longer have my parents. So I can identfy with his feeling of loss.
It is a nice story and hopefully Lupin can find a silver lining in his grey cloud.
Author's Response: I too have lost a parent, so grief fics come to me rather easily, it seems. Remus is such a perfect subject for them, because he\'s an emotionally complex character. Of all the characters in the Potterverse, he\'s the one that\'s most likely to actually end up in a state like this, sad though that may be.
Thank you for reviewing, and I\'m glad you enjoyed my story!
The Following Year by TheJester
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 11]
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione have survived what should have been their seventh year at Hogwarts. Most of their friends survived, too. It soon becomes apparent that there are matters to attend to following the death of Voldemort, some of which will not be pleasant. What will happen to the trio and their friends during The Following Year?
Very sad and touching story. I shed some tears as Harry said goodbye to the folks who gave their lives in the fight for Hogwarts. His undying love for those people was very moving, as well as his love for his three friends.
A wonderful story, and I look forward to the next chapter.
Dudley's Dementor by Tiberius Jones
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 8]
Summary: Have you ever wondered what Dudley's worst memory was while being attacked by Dementors? Here he relives the most humiliating day of his life. Dudley is finally given a dose of his own medicine.
Well Dudley is'nt as tough and terrible as we all thought, huh?
Nice story though. Serves Dudley right for being a bully to Harry...He got a taste of his own medicine...
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. Appreciate it.
Second Chances by GryffindorGoddess
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 29]
Summary: Severus, Lily and James have been reincarnated ... born again into this life as Severn, Lillian and Jamie. The unresolved passions in their previous lives has drawn them together once more. Will Severn win Lillian this time or will Fate play out the same way again? (Rated 3rd-5th years but could change later in the story.)
Wow, this will be a great story to read! I like it alot! Yes it does seem familiar, but also different, since they're all in Gryffindor.
Author's Response: Thank you, moonstargazer! I hope I can keep your interest in the coming chapters....as soon as I find time to write them, lol. thanks again!
~GG
Very cute! It's nice that Lillian became friends with Severn. And she kind of dislikes Jamie. Funny that there's no Sirius or Lupin type charecters in the story, but that's okay.
It's a great story and I'm really enjoying it!
Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you like the character dynamics. As for Sirius and Lupin characters, they were\'nt reincarnated like the other three. J/L/S do have other friends, but they aren\'t going to be as important as Sirius and Lupin would have been in the past life. Thank you for reviewing and I hope you continue to like it! ~GG
Ooooo!! This is going to be interesting! Nice story, excellent storyline, Should be fascinating to see what transpires between the three Gryffindors.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad it\'s an itneresting read...I love these characters so to see them reincarnated is fun. :) I appreciate the review! ~GG
Oh wow, and I thought Jamie would be nice with Severn for once. I hope he does'nt get too nasty with him.
It's such a sweet story and I'll be looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: They try so hard and yet it never works out... We\'ll have to see what happens between those two -- they seem to have minds of their own! I\'m not sure when I\'ll have the next chatper ready but hopefully I won\'t keep you waiting too long. Thank you so much for the review! ~GG
Fascinating read! Takes place 80 years after Harry Potter...Hmmm, sounds like Jamie's hopes of being on the quidditch team was short lived...
Looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Yeah, it had to be post DH to stay canon compliant, and I didn\'t want them at school with the next-gen kids (creepy!) so 80 years is what I randomly came up with. : ) You\'re right about Jamie. Poor kid tries to walk before he can crawl, lol. I\'ll be submitting chapter 3 as soon as the queue reopens! ~GG
Torn Between Ice and Emeralds by CrystalM

Is anyone likely to forgive him? Finding himself a refugee within the walls he had conspired against, he witnesses a scene that alters his perception of a concept he had previously found to be a waste of time: Love. This change allows him to grow away from the model Death Eater his father had been sculpting him into in an effort to find out what he really believes in with the help of his new friendship found in the youngest Weasley. Meanwhile, Ginny struggles with her harboured feelings for the man destined to save the Wizarding world, unknowingly losing her affections with every passing day to his childhood enemy.

Wow, How will Draco make out after seeing his mother die in front of him?
A sad tale, but very good....I Like it, and I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: I\'ve always liked the sad stories, I can really get into them. The next chapter\'ll be up soon, glad you liked it!
An Issue Of Trust by Sirenny
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 24]
Summary: It is said that to be forewarned is to be forearmed. But sometimes, even with the knowledge of what is to come, the destination will always be the same - no matter the difference in the path travelled. Waking up one morning Harry finds his familiar surroundings eerily altered. Sent to a dark future shaped under the rule of Voldemort, in which all knowledge of his existence has been forgotten, Harry is forced to rely on one of the few people who remembers his name: Severus Snape. 6th Year AU. Nominated for best Dark/Angst story in the 2008 QSQ.
Very interesting chapter. Hard to tell whether Snape is truly a Death Eater, or whether he resents the fact that he must play the part of Dumbledor's spy.
And his meeting with Harry's uncle is absolutely hilarious!
If we're talking freaks here, Snape fits the bill.
Author's Response: I am pleased you found it interesting. I also love that you commented on Snape, for reasons that will become apparent in future chapters =). Thank you very much for taking the time to review
Ooooo! Creepy! At least Lupin did'nt tear Harry limb from limb. He might have known that it was Harry in the room with him.
Great story and chapter.
Author's Response: Hehe, with the potion I think Lupin did know it was Harry. Still, potion or not, I wouldn\'t want to be in the same room as a transformed werewolf. Thanks for the review!
Summary: Above all else, the form love takes depends on the circumstances. Albus/Scorpius, implied Harry/Draco, DH epilogue compliant. This is a follow-up to "After the Epilogue".
What a sweet story! How nice that Albus and Scorpius get along together and they are in the same house, (Gryffindor). And Harry and Draco, putting the past aside for the sake of their sons.
Very nice tale.
Finding Lily by obsessed_with_jo
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 85]
Summary: When Callie decides she wants to learn more about her birth parents, she merely expects to meet them and develop, if anything, a minimal relationship. However, when she discovers an old diary of her birth mother's, she finds an intriguing and heartbreaking tale of young love and its cost. In the process, she becomes closer to her mother than she ever could have envisioned.
Wow! I have to comment that the same thing happens in real life too.
It is sad that Lily and Severus had unprotected sex. It will be interesting when she tells severus, but how will she explain this to James?
And then there's Harry to consider.
A very sad story. It is a shame that both of Callie's parents are dead.
I feel sorry for her and for Lily's predictament too.
Good luck with the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks!
Poor Carrie! She's got into quite a pickle, with all of the information she's discovered in Lily's diary.
Knowing that Snape is her father is quite the dilemma between her and Harry.
It will be interesting to see how things play out.
Wonderful chapter! I enjoy reading this story, alot and I am curous as to how things will wind up for Carrie.
The happiest of endings would be for her to meet her birth parents, but since both are dead, there will have to be another ending.
On a side note, I find it really wonderful to think that wizard babies can walk earlier than muggle babies.
Of course, that makes more stress for the mom...Marlaina has her hands full with those triplets! :-0
Author's Response: Haha, I love writing the parts with Marlaina; they\'re so much fun =P Thanks for reviewing!
I had started reading this story at the begiing, and then Mugglenet had to shut everything down, and when it came back, I had forgotten all about this story.
Anyway, I had to catch up and the last 2 chapters, were wonderful as is the rest of the story. I'm glad Callie is getting to know Lily, through Lily's diary. And Callie has to tell Harry who she is.
Anyway, great story, I hope evrything turns out well for Callie in the end.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! =]
Oh no! Now, Callie will discover the truth!
And we'll have to wait for the next chapter!!
This is a great story and I look forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m just polishing the next chapter; it should be posted within the next few days. Thank you for reviewing =]
Well, Callie's going to have quite a time with Petunia. I wonder if she'll contact the other person, her mom mentioned, the boy from Spinner's End.
Of course, we all know who he is, right? ;0)
Wondderful chapter, and I look forward to the next one.
Author's Response: Thanks! The next chapter is under construction; it should be posted within the next week or so. Thanks for reviewing!
