Summary: 2007 QSQ Awards Runner-up for Best Post-Hogwarts
Petunia Dursley is enjoying dinner with her family when someone starts pounding on the door. Ready to tell them off for being so rude and refusing to leave when they didn't answer at first, Petunia opens the door to have a baby shoved into her arms and told she is his only family. Years after the great Harry Potter defeated Voldemort, Death Eaters have risen to power and taken over Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, and even the Ministry of Magic. *Quote from The Epilogue*
Suddenly Harry was kissing her as if he couldn’t resist the temptation. There was a kind of frenzy to the kiss at first, a kind of desperate need, but it melted into something soft and sweet and gentle, a promise of a future when kisses would never be limited. When they broke apart he rested his forehead on hers, sprinkling a few affectionate butterfly kisses across her face. “I love you,” he murmured.
I'm new to the site and I just started reading this story. I'm on chapter 13 and I'm hooked... I need to know what happens next! Does Hermione lose the baby? Will Ginny get her memory back... oh no... what if she thinks the baby she's carrying is Draco's! Tonks would be the only one to know the truth and she's missing... sure Draco would know too, but Ginny might try to get rid of the baby and that would be awful. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Things are certainly looking bad for everyone . . . but they can\'t stay bad forever, right? ;) The next chapter should be up soon; thanks for the review!
So how long does it take for these chapters to be approved, because I saw the link to chapter 14 go up over a week ago : \
Author's Response: Sometimes it can take a while . . . those mods are busy people.
I caught up on this and was trying to explain it to my boyfriend. he thought that any plot with petunia turning good to harry would be unbelievable and that got me thinking, I could believe the story and the events causing petunia to change that much. This is a wonderful fic and I'm glad I came across it. I'm happy to see Petunia doing what she should have done all those years ago when raising Harry. Truely a wonderful fic of JK calibur!! Can't wait for the next chapter :P
Author's Response: Thanks so much! It is hard to imagine Petunia become good to Harry after all the years she treated him horribly, but it was a plot bunny to hard to resist, and it's good to know you think I was able to do it realistically! Being compared to J.K. Rowling is a high compliment and very much appreciated :) The next chapter should be up soon!
hmmm... so harry and ron made it out. YAY! and they took malfoy hostage as they saved Katie. and then they came across Ginny. Some greater power loves them for things to go that good. Fortunately it looks like Ginny is better from the amnesia, so she would know that she's pregnant with Harry's baby and not Draco's :P I LOVE this fic and YAY it's finally up. Things seem to be going good for the good side, but we have to remember that snape still have leverage over lupin and I think that's going to come into play soon
Great chapter and please keep writing
Author's Response: Some greater power does love them at this point! Other people, like Lupin, aren\'t so lucky, as you pointed out, will come into play soon. . . . Thanks for the review; I\'ll try and update as soon as I can!
Yay, the chapter finally went through. I'm wondering how Ginny escaped... it could have been something as simple as apparating, but wouldn't the malfoy mansion have some sort of spell preventing apparation so Ginny wouldn't escape that way? And now Katie is in malfoy's hands... he's going to trade Katie for Ginny isn't he? hmmmm Poor Lupin... he's not going to kill Snape now... or is he? Dang, I want to read more. Bravo on your work! You're an excellent writer.
Author's Response: Good questions! Some of them will be answered in the next chapter . . . some won\'t. They do all have good answers though, so keep reading! Thanks for the review.
Summary: 'Death does not see colours, or Houses, or family lineage. Blood tastes the same, no matter whose veins it pours from. But still, Harry and his friends plunged on, fighting their way to the Great Hall, fighting for the freedom of you. Of me, Of all those who fought, and all those who cowered in silence. My children have always understood that sacrifices must be made.' A young boy, scared and confused, learns of the Last Battle of Harry Potter from the most unusual of voices.
wow, I never thought about what Hogwarts itself thought of the battle. I really liked this story. You're a good writer.
