I am a 51 year old widow, Mother of 1 and Grandmaother of 2. (I am not an author, but a dedicated fan.) That is outdated. I have some stories on fanfiction. But none here, yet. I love the fiction here! It fills the need to see "what happened next"! My daughter, husband and I read the first six books so much we have worn out one set and the second set sre looking a bit tired. Unfortunatly my husband died in Janusry '07 and did not get to read the last book. My daughter and I have worn out the two copies we got at midnight of the distribution. I am now reading the books to my 8 year old granddaughter. Thank you to Mugglenet and to all who share their tallents here!
All is not well.
George uses work and Firewhisky to cope with Fred's death until a drink with a friend leads to something that dulls pain better than alcohol. Emotionally torn by grief, he struggles to allow Alicia into his life...and then comes baby....

NOTE: I am sorry, but I have left this site, due to lack of time and personal issues concerning RL and the site. This story is discontinued here, but may well be posted elsewhere in the future.
Oh! what has this prof got to hate teddy for? You tease so well! : ) Continueing to love your work! Grandma Beth
Author's Response: Thank you! :D
Ok so here is your review. : ) I have no critisims (and I can not spell!) But some sugestions for possible ideas. Many have gone down the wearwolf path for teddy. How about exploreing more of the Tonks side of his life? I like the insite you show in to his emotions. I'd also like to see him learn of his family history. How his grandma became a Tonks, How his Mom and Dad fell inlove and defied social preasures. I'd like to see
Teddy help Harry open up about the war and finnaly put some of his ghosts to rest. Just my two sickles. Love your work, thank you for making this old grannies winter brighter! Grandma Beth

Summary: After fighting the biggest battle of his life, Harry Potter finds himself in new, uncharted territory. Beginning a week after the final battle at Hogwarts, Harry finds himself with many choices before him. He spent the summer trying to sort out his future with Ginny and the Ministry, but now must find a way to balance both. Ginny has left for Hogwarts to complete her final year, with Hermione, and Harry is starting work as a full-fledged Auror. They both must find a way to make their long-distance relationship work. Ginny hopes to find peace at school and Harry hopes to build his life around the expectation that Ginny will be with him forever. Despite all of this, there is more to the work that Harry is doing with the Ministry then he realises. Will Gaunt prove trustworthy in these new endeavours? Will Ginny and Hermione have a horror-free year at Hogwarts?
Wonderful! Grandma Beth
Author's Response: thank you!
Summary: The Christmas after the Battle of Hogwarts is a battle in itself. The blackness of grief, the sound of tears and the taint of guilt and sorrow is a stark and ugly contrast to the backdrop of snow, carols, love and joy.
But one cannot grieve and live at the same time. And one realises it doesn’t really take much to go back to living after grieving: love thaws all sharp icicles the way spring has never yet broken its promise of driving away winter.~LucillaJoanna of Hufflepuff believes Seasons Change and avows it with this entry to the Winter Tales Challenges.
~Dedicated to Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, who intimately knows grief and will successfully befriend it, too.
Ye s sad people do. It's been almost a year since my husband died and finnaly we smile and mean it, most of the time. Thank you for such a wonderful story. Grandma Beth
Summary: "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
A wise man had once told Harry Potter this simple phrase. Harry, in turn, passed on this advice to a brooding Teddy, who suffers once again as the Christmas holidays approach. More than he shows, the death of his young parents affect Teddy. They shouldn't have died, it should have been somebody else. Yet, Teddy has been forced to grow up without them, envious of those with loving parents. Victoire can't help but wonder why Teddy is unable accept the amount of love he has around him. Maybe, with a little persuasion and some good advice from a caring godfather, Teddy can finally get over the death of the parents that he never had the chance to know.
Character Death warning for previous deaths. They don't actually occur in the story.
Submitted by Mistletoe of Slytherin for the Winter Tales Challenge.
Wonderful! Grandma Beth
Author's Response: Thank you :]
[Final warning: DH spoilers follow.] Three days after the final battle of Hogwarts, Harry must begin the painful task of attending the many funerals of the fallen. The first is perhaps the hardest, and Harry is focused on helping the Weasley family make it through the day—but maybe he still has a few things left to learn himself.
Author’s Note: I’ve read many a good story on the death of Fred Weasley, of whom I have always been very fond. Yet I think I needed to write my own version for that extra bit of closure. I hope you all enjoy, and maybe even experience a touch of catharsis yourselves. And as always, please leave a review! They're a huge help, and will all receive responses.
Not fair! You had me bawling on Christmas! : ) Very good! Thank You! Grandma Beth
Author's Response: I\'m sorry! But thanks for the compliments!
