Summary: What if Harry made friends with someone in the Muggle world? When a girl named Gillian gets caught up in Harry's world of magic, Harry gets a link to the Muggle world that will prove invaluable.
Gillian lives on Magnolia Crescent. She is a Muggle, but not the kind generally accepted by the majority of Muggles. Gillian finds herself wishing daily that there was more to the world in which she lives. Something more fantastic and wondrous, as she sometimes believes there is. As circumstances would have it, she meets Harry Potter, that strange boy who's nothing but trouble. It's rumored he spends the school year at St. Brutus' Institute for Incurably Criminal Boys. At first she's terrified of him, but even lies that conceal one of the world's greatest secrets can't keep at bay her curiosity and longing for something greater. A bond is formed between her and Harry that not all the magic in the world can conceal. And as more about the world is revealed, the question arises: is she a Muggle or Squib?
No offense, but this is a Mary Sue...
Author's Response: I don\'t understand how Gillian is developed enough yet for you to make a judgment call about her character...especially one accusing her of being a \"Mary Sue\" when she already has obvious issues regarding self-worth, paranoia, and a chronic need to feel different. None of these are meant to be characteristics that I\'m idealizing, since I am not an angsty preteen. Rather, they are immature characteristics specifically written into a character who has a lot of growing up to do. I\'m sorry that you couldn\'t see that and were in such a rush to make judgments that make you feel insightful.
Summary: Anyone heard those rumours about a Harry Potter musical?
It better be just like this.
No, but seriously, it's a spoof of the songs from Disney channel's infamous "High School Musical," telling the tale of JK Rowling's infamous "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." (I was dared; I took the challenge.)
You will never see the Basilisk the same way again.
P.S. You may also want to check out my Beatles and Phantom of the Opera spoofs. Just click on my username and it'll take you to my delightfully chaotic author's page.
Twice nominated for Best Poem in the Quicksilver Quills Awards!
Silly Schmergo- you cant have a musical without Jews!
If you don't know what I am talking about then I will personally cut you down with a herring
Author's Response: HOW COULD YOU ASSUME THAT I WOULD NOT GET THAT REFERENCE, HUH???
^_^ No, it\'s okay! I love Spamalot. I\'ve seen it twice and own ze soundtrack. Now, I\'m not trying to succeed on Broadway, I\'m trying to succeed on fanfiction, so perhaps the rule doesn\'t apply? Dunno... *Shrug*
Summary: When James makes a cocky boast that he knows Hogwarts so well he could make his way around it blindfolded, Lily unexpectedly takes his bet. Now, James has to spend twenty-four hours with a magical blindfold on, fumbling his way around the trickiest areas of the school. If he loses, he must publicly announce his failure, admit he’s not really as cool as he thinks he is, and give a large apology to Severus Snape. If he wins, however, he gains the adulated prize of giving one kiss to Lily Evans.
Suddenly, James is very keen for this bet to take place…
As for Lily… well, at first she thought it would be a grand idea to humiliate Potter, and was looking forward to his embarrassing debut. However, as any student who’s attended Hogwarts for longer than a few hours would know, Hogwarts just isn’t that safe… especially not when you’re blind, have a natural affinity for trouble, and your name is James Potter. Somehow, Lily’s been roped in for Potter-sitting, and it’s starting to look like a very, very long twenty-four hours.
Nice, very interesting. I like how you characterized Lily, but I think you DEFINETLY need to let some of the air out of James' head. He's not a very likeable character right now.
Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Lol, thanks. To be fair, I don\'t think James was a very likeable character until he bucked up his act later. I\'m writing it more from Lily\'s perspective so he would seem more obnoxious than is perhaps fair. Thanks very much for reviewing and I hope you continued reading! xx
Summary: Dobby gave his life to save Harry and his friends. Harry grieved for Dobby and buried him, but death was not the end for Dobby. Follow this selfless house-elf on his next great adventure.
Originally submitted to the Autumn Challenge’s The Next Great Adventure prompt.
Love it! I was so tempted to do Dobby for the challenge, but I wound up with Creevy. Still, this is AMAZING! The toasters have a real chance now :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I look forward to reading your entry as well. Go Toasters!
Summary: Even as the Dark Lord ascends, a few of his Death Eaters maintain a small, underground ring to import poisons, often with contacts abroad and in the darker sections of the Muggle community. But when their central agent delivers a drug of remarkable potency, the consequences may rock the magical world.
And may drive the agent to finally reveal what is hidden.
i noticed that you didn't have many reviews, which is a crime, because this story's fantastic!
Author's Response: Thanks for that - ironically, this story now has the most reviews of any I\'ve written!
Summary: A weekend trip to the mysterious Rose Cottage leads to Ginny's second pregnancy and Hermione's first. The Potters and Weasleys take on “The Next Great Adventure” as they anticipate the births of Albus Potter and Rose Weasley.
Are you going to write about Albus' quest? Please do!!! You need to write a sequel!!!
Author's Response: I haven\'t decided if I\'m going to write a sequel yet. I think I need to put a little distance between this story and wherever my Muse takes me next, though. Then we\'ll see. Thanks for the compliment, though!
Summary: It is a blustery day in Hogsmeade, and Arthur and Bill Weasley are minding their own business. That is, until they each receive letters instructing them to mind each other's business in a most intrusive and rather final sort of way.
But this is not just about Arthur and Bill. They happen to be a small part of a much bigger, much more ambitious scheme that they know nothing about, run by a frighteningly powerful organization. What exactly is going on, and what exactly will Arthur and Bill do?
Written as an entry for the Gauntlet, by Schmerg_The_Impaler of Hufflepuff house (most of the Bill bits) and Neville's Girl of Slytherin house (most of the Arthur bits). Probably the strangest thing either of us has ever written.
Love it!! You should do another chapter where they meet Jo.
Author's Response: Mmm, thank you! I don\'t think MNFF would allow that, though. It\'s specifically banned to talk about JK Rowling on the site.
