Summary: 2009 QSQ Awards Winner for Best Chaptered Canon Romance
Before the chosen one was ever born, his parents had to meet, fall in love, and defy Voldemort three times. Easier said than done. Things were never easy for Harry Potter's parents, but it gets a whole lot harder when Death Eaters kidnap Lily. This is the story of Lily and James, the trials they face, and how James finally wins Lily's heart. (pre-Deathly Hallows)
“I’ll always protect you.”
I was about to say that I loved Ted, but now I'm quite confused. Hopefully you'll update soon, this chapter was fluffy but satiating since we discovered Ted! Good work. [= -Allie
Author's Response: This chapter was fluffy for a while . . . I'm glad you enjoyed it, though! Thanks for the review. And hopefully I'll be able to clear up some of the confusion in the next chapter ;)
"and could have sworn the edges of his thin black mouth tipped in a smile. He probably had gas."- That made me laugh out loud. I was sitting in front of my laptop, giggling. Just thought you should know [:
Author's Response: I appreciate you letting me know! It's always good to make people giggle ;)
OH. MY. GOD. Ted is back. I think I just died a little from euphoria. So far, this is beautifully written and by far one of my favorites. Question--how many chapters do you have planned out for this? I love this story. =]
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it so much! (And that I was able to pleasantly surprise you!) As for how many chapters I have planned, I can't really tell you. I know exactly what I want to happen and how I want it to happen, but if try and guess how many chapters it will take I can guarantee I'll be off the mark -- I always am. I can definitely say that the climax is quickly approaching. . . . Thanks for the review!
Summary: What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time? Well, that's an excellent question. Who would have known that the Dark Lord has a blog? (He also has a loyal following of readers, most of whom are Death Eaters and who post their comments.) Voldemort dispenses advice on everything from murder methods to germ protection to Power Rangers to shoes, and gives an account of the life of an evil overlord. But is he posting too much personal information online? And will Harry read it and find out more about the Dark Lord than Voldemort ever intended? Read and see.
WARNING: Extremely OOC behaviour from almost all.
RUNNER-UP in the 2007 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Humour fic! Also nominated like 21 times, because apparently my readers are as insane as I am!
email@example.com., best email ever.
Author's Response: ^_^ If this is anyone\'s real email address, I am very sorry for any strange emails they get from prospective Death Eaters. Love the username, by the way.
Summary: Fifteen-year-old Harry Potter wakes up in his cupboard under the stairs at number four, Privet Drive with no memory of the past five years of his life. What happened to his memory? What do his strange dreams mean? And most importantly, how will he survive in a school for incurably criminal boys?
This is primarily a mystery, with a bit of shippiness thrown in here and there. Of course, if I told you WHO is involved in the shippiness, that would ruin part of the mystery, wouldn’t it?
This story takes place immediately after OotP (and thus disregards HBP).
i feel really bad for harry, worse than usual. you did a good job of capturing the "neglected" feeling. thumbs up. and question- exactly how old is harry in this chapter? thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks very much; that\'s really the feeling I was going for. Harry\'s coming up on his sixteenth birthday, but I see you\'ve already figured that out. ;-)
just kidding about the age question- i realized it was stated in the description of the fic, haha. thanks anyway.
Author's Response: Not a problem. :-)
Summary: [Year 2: Complete] Its Harry’s second year as a Slytherin, and the Chamber of Secrets has been opened. The Heir of Slytherin is out there somewhere, having students petrified left and right, and by the end of the year someone will die from Slytherin’s horrible beast. But this time, Harry's the one with Riddle's diary.
How will Harry’s years at Hogwarts turn out, now that he's a Slytherin? Will he turn to the Dark Arts and be a follower of Voldemort? Or will he kill Voldemort, or die trying, after he learns of the prophecy? Will Harry's choices lead him down a different road? Follow and you will see...
“What is a diary as a rule? A document useful to the person who keeps it, dull to the contemporary who reads it, invaluable to the student, centuries afterwards, who treasures it.” –Ellen Terry
i'm not sure the omniscient view was working for me to be perfectly honest. . . .
Author's Response: i\'m glad you\'re being honest. i don\'t really do it that much because there isn\'t that much emotion involved when its more from a god-like view. harry\'s view is better. ~Sara
Summary: Tonks and Remus love each other, but Remus has been afraid of hurting Tonks, so for a long time he denied his feelings for her. Now that they've put their issues aside, they're married and happy, but for how long? Voldemort is rising in power by the day, threatening to destroy good magic. Will Tonks and Remus be able to survive the battle?
i love how you left the reader hanging with kris and remus. pretty intense. and this whole segment is very creative!
Summary: Sequel to A Stolen Past. Please read that story first, as this one really won’t make sense if you don’t.
Harry Potter has rejoined the Wizarding world after a year-long absence, but still has no memory of his time at Hogwarts. Will he ever get his memory back? Will he be able to pass his classes without it? And most importantly, will he ever be able to defeat Lord Voldemort? Read on as the last of the mysteries introduced in A Stolen Past are finally revealed.
This is a story of friendship and mystery, with a healthy dose of H/G thrown in for good measure.
"If a locket isn't too girly for Salazar Slytherin, it's not too girly for Harry Potter." - That quote made my day.
Author's Response: Thanks! I thought it was rather humorous myself. ;-)
“I wish I could see Umbridge’s face when she finds out a half-giant reversed her Memory Charm.” and “Ginny, Harry’s my best friend. Don’t you dare hurt him.” made me laugh really, really hard.
Author's Response: Thank you! It\'s always nice to find out that others find my jokes funny. :-)
AH! I LOVE SIRIUS! hahaha nice ending. amazing!
Author's Response: Thank you! I really wanted to write a story with a plausible way to bring Sirius back. This was the best I could come up with, so I\'m really glad you liked it.
Summary: Hermione Granger finds herself in an unusual place, an unusual time for that matter. Through an unintentional mishap, she is tossed right into the mix with James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black. Will she make it back to her own time without altering the future irreparably? And what will happen when she returns?
Thanks to everyone who nominated this story for a Quicksilver Quill, and congratulations to the winners!!
I thought I would be freaked out by the whole age-thing at the end, but it was beautifully written and easier to accept than I had thought. Great story,I'm going to check out more of yours now! (:
Summary: COMPLETE At the start of his 7th year, a stranger from his mother’s past arrives to help Harry find the remaining Horcruxes – and teach him to attain the power the Dark Lord knows not. Harry learns surprising things about his mother.
The Ministry of Magic, increasingly under Voldemort’s thumb, attempts to infiltrate Hogwarts, but the feisty Headmistress McGonagall is equal to the challenge. The race against time to destroy the cunningly concealed Horcruxes takes the reader to dark realities where Voldemort reigns supreme.
A story to make you think … with a little mystery, romance, adventure, philosophy, and humour along the way.
This fic is complete and I'll be posting all twenty chapters as fast I can get them validated. It is canon-compliant up to Book 6, and does not follow on from my previous fic: The Ghost of Godric Gryffindor.
Amazing story, I really loved it. You are a great author and I encourage you (wholeheartedly) to write more fics! (P.S. The Ghost of Godric Gryffindor was great also, your original characters are fabulous!)
Summary: When Ginny Weasley becomes Draco Malfoy's wife, he suspects neither her true identity nor her dangerous motives. But when all Hell breaks lose and their relationship takes unexpected turns, there is more at stake than preserving their marriage--namely, preserving their lives.
ginny's a blonde! wow. this fic is intriguing. can't wait to see what happens next!
Summary: Hermione attends the Charity Masquerade Ball, silently praying that he would finally come - that he wouldn't let her down this time. She hadn't seen him for a year now and she starts wondering why she’s even waiting for him. Why hadn't she moved on? What if he didn't show up this time?
Draco watched her from afar, his cool gray eyes taking in her every movement. It had been far too long since their last encounter. He couldn’t – wouldn’t – keep her waiting any longer.
One-shot fic based on the song 'Far Away' by Nickleback.
That was beautiful; the bad-boy-esqe Draco was well characterized.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the read! =D Thank you so much!
Summary: Do you have what it takes to be a Death Eater? In these "short" guidelines written by the Dark Lord himself, you'll find out all the do's and don't's and other info of being a Death Eather in Voldemort's service....
HAHAHAHA. That was really entertaining, featuring hilarious!Voldy.
Author's Response: Hilarious!Voldy is a side not too often seen with him, lol. Glad you liked the fic! :-)
Summary: “With a little thing called trickery, lies and deceit ...”
Based on the Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing, this fic follows the Marauders, Lily, and her identical twin friends, Isabella and Henrietta (Izzie and Henrie to most) as they fall in and out of love, through complex, elaborate and intricate tricks, plots and schemes. This fic has everything. The Marauders, Shakespeare, humour, romance, devious plans and maybe even a bit of snogging here and there ... so are you ready?
“Then sigh not so,
But let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey, nonny, nonny”
[Taken from Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing]
My school JUST did this show for the fall production and I almost squealed when I saw this! How perfect!
Author's Response: Yay! It's completely my favourite Shakespeare play (although then again, the only one I don't like so far is Macbeth). I hope you enjoy it!
The connections were great, I knew who everyone was! Congratulations on another lovely fic---- Allie.
Author's Response: Yay! Thanks so much! I'm really glad I did it at least a small amount of justice. =D
Summary: "Never let him push you too far," they told her.
"Never let him talk you into things you'd never normally do," they whispered to her when she was in doubt.
i. love. draco. why must the fictional characters be so amazing.
Summary: Marty Price works for The Cause, which involves several campaigns and petitions on a weekly basis. It has become common knowledge within Hogwarts that if you see her coming towards you with a clipboard, you should turn and walk the other way. Or perhaps deny all grasp of the English language. And if this isn’t eccentric enough, there’s also her obsessive written observations of four boys in her year, which will one day make a rather interesting book ...
Remus Lupin, meanwhile, has always been a little different, too. Poor, sweet Remus Lupin is, to the casual observer, the picture of a sensible, hard working student. However, he has three friends who have done more for him than anyone knows and they have done this because of his troubled past, troubled present and troubled future. Why the gloominess? Because Remus Lupin just so happens to be a werewolf.
So what could these two possibly have in common? And how can their stories possibly connect?
Runner-up for the 2008 Best Marauder Era QSQ.
The prank was a nice break, and it showed the Marauders' trust in Marty, well done, and I cannot wait for your next update!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm not always that good at writing the pranks, I'm afraid my imagination often fails me, but I'm glad you thought it was okay! And yes, trust in Marty was the main point, but also, of course, to remind everyone what the Marauders are all about! =D
