UPDATE February '08: I have changed the chapter names of some of the 'Defied' chapters, to make this fit and to make it more plausible, as I see the 'thrice defying' of Voldemort as happening when James and Lily are part of the Order of the Phoenix.
UPDATE 20th September: I have altered my facts in the chapter 'Once Defied' as I made mistakes in the ages of James and Lily. It didn't matter so much in this chapter but had annoying repercusions for future chapters. It should all now be correct.
Great story so far. I have yet to finish the rest. I really love the last line of this chapter. It just stands out to me.

This story is amazing. It's brilliantly written, so descriptive and captivating. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't wait to read the epilogue.

Author's Response: Thanks! I loved writing their first kiss. The end was a bit heartbreaking, but I can\'t make it easy for them to get together - well I could - but this way is a lot more interesting and fun to write.

Summary: I'm not really sure how or when it happened. I'd say somewhere between when he saved my life (and didn't even mention it!) and our late-night conversation. Or maybe in third year, but I just repressed it. No matter when it happened, something clicked with James Potter, and I felt like a fool. Especially when I learned that he had a girlfriend. Hopefully with stories of a nude Petunia and my charm, he'll see the light.
