Battling Jitters by EmilyJayne
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 286]
Summary: They have battled evil, fate, destiny, time, even each other. Now Ron and Hermione take an emotional ride to battle something equally as treacherous….nerves.
The third installment in my “Battles” series continues here in a fluffier-than-is-normal-for-this-author tale depicting the Jitters Ron and Hermione experience when popping the big question and the events leading up to it.
If you have just found this story, be sure to read “Internal Battles” and “Battling Boundaries”. This story stands alone, but the other two will help complete the back-story. You should enjoy them too! Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: JKR started it…I am just playing with the fabulous characters!

Love Conquers by dumbly_dorr
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 321]
Summary: If you're looking for the usual James-loves-Lily-but-Lily-hates-James storyline, then this isn't it. The thing is, Lily doesn't hate James at all, he can just be annoying at the best of times. As she comes to realise why she doesn't hate him, it leads to the famous love we all know about. Set against the backdrop of a warring magical world where nothing is certain, can James and Lily hold onto each other and fight?
UPDATE August 08: It's FINISHED! Thank you so much to all those who have read and reviewed this story, I have loved your support. i hope there are still people out there who are willing to read it. Keep an eye out for more stories by me!
UPDATE February '08: I have changed the chapter names of some of the 'Defied' chapters, to make this fit and to make it more plausible, as I see the 'thrice defying' of Voldemort as happening when James and Lily are part of the Order of the Phoenix.
UPDATE 20th September: I have altered my facts in the chapter 'Once Defied' as I made mistakes in the ages of James and Lily. It didn't matter so much in this chapter but had annoying repercusions for future chapters. It should all now be correct.
Deadly Repercussions by GryffindorGoddess
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 3]
Summary: Cadmus Peverell was given a rare gift, but its terrible powers have ruined him. The Resurrection Stone that altered this man’s life forever has been passed down through the generations, always accompanied with a grim warning. Now it has changed hands from Marvolo Gaunt to his dejected daughter, Merope, who has no idea of the horrors this tiny object can generate. She can’t resist the temptation to use it, yet the results are unexpected. What will happen when Merope attempts to alter Fate? (Slight AU because the behavior of people brought back to life by the Stone is a bit different than in canon. Also note harsh language in chapter 2.)

The war against Voldemort never reached America, but all is not well there. When 11-year-old Alexandra Quick learns she is a witch, she is plunged into a world of prejudices, intrigue, and danger. Who wants Alexandra dead, and why?
This story is canon-compliant with the Harry Potter universe, but the characters and settings are all original. I've put a lot of work into envisioning a world as detailed as the original series; I hope you enjoy it.
