Remus Lupin is a man with a tragic past, filled with pain, suffering and sorrow. But it is also a past filled with great adventure, true friendship and…love? Even though the odds were against him, Remus found happiness at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He had the Marauders, he was a prefect and his transformations were less horrible, thanks to his Animagi friends. What more could a teenage werewolf want? And how long could his happiness last? Remus and the Marauders prove that in the saddest of lives and darkest of times, there can still be moments of bliss.
Remus centric but with a lot of the other Marauders. This story is a romance, but has almost as much general Marauder era background and side story as romance.
Pre-HBP and DH, so some things from DH will be disregarded, as the warning indicates, but some Spoilers will be incorporated.

This is an alternate version of Book Seven. Harry reluctantly returns to Hogwarts to train with a new DADA teacher, one appointed in specifically for Harry in Dumbledore's will. As the rest of the Wizard World reacts to Dumbledore's defeat, Harry develops the skills he needs to fulfill the Prophecy--including mastery of the Kedavra curse.
Mysteries are explored along the way, particularly the "missing 24 hours" from 1981--the span of time between Hagrid taking Baby Harry from the ruins of Godric's Hollow on Halloween Night, and his arrival to hand off Baby Harry on Privet Drive the following night. The Veil Room in the Department of Mysteries is also revisited. A traitor is uncovered, and Dumbledore's wisdom comes into question. And even when all goes as planned, things are not all they seem.

Remus Lupin tolerates mischievous friends and lycanthropy, while the prophetic Ariadne MacDougal negotiates a misguided family, and everyone must deal with the Death Eaters. A rather dark coming-of-age story about the death of innocence and the renewal of hope during Voldemort’s first war.

DEAR FAITHFUL READERS:
I swear I have not abandoned this fic. It's hard to write because I have so much work to do in college, but I'm writing the chapter little by little as time goes on. I may not be able to upload it until after the hacker problems with MNFF are fixed, but know that this story is still alive and kicking. I am NOT leaving Meera. No way.
Love you all!

WARNING! This story contains a jingle-bell antler headband, a shower of potatoes, boy/girl mushiness, underwear karaoke, family trouble, an excessively adorable werewolf, death, the song "Werewolves of London," betrayal, and the word 'Jordan' five times in a row near the beginning of chapter seven.
Twenty-one years after Voldemort's defeat, five fourth-years are faced with a new threat. Will all of the five stay true to the light side? Will they all emerge whole in the end? Will Jordan Potter ever get a life? You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll gasp, you'll sigh! Part one in a trilogy!
Well, after much deliberation and consideration, I've decided to submit my future-gen trilogy! This particular installment is three years old, so it's definitely different from my current writing style, but I'm quite fond of the characters.
DH is disregarded. It's a total coincidence that one of the main characters is named Ted Lupin.
Starring Quicksilver Quills 2008 Best Male Original Character runner-up Jordan Potter, Best Female Original Character nominees Ivy Potter, Haley Potter, and Emma Weasley, and Best Male Original Character nominee Ted Lupin!
Five times nominated (once for each member of Potter's Pentagon!) for the Best Post-Hogwarts story in the 2007 Quicksilver Quills Awards, and nominated for Best Post-Hogwarts story in the 2008 Quicksilver Quill Awards...

We all know James and Lily's relationship ended on a Halloween night with two bright green flashes, but how did it begin?
Were they introduced by friends? Did their eyes meet across a crowded room? Did it perhaps start with a small hello? Did they just lay eyes on each other and immediately hate one another?
Or maybe it began with a perfectly timed, destined chance encounter ... a coincidence, as some would say.
Join James and Lily in their Seventh year at Hogwarts as they recollect the times throughout their Hogwarts years that brought them together.
Teensiest bit of AU included, nothing major.

Draco wanted to get away. He needed to get away from all the things that reminded him everyday of the mistakes he had made and the one he had lost. He found the perfect spot too, a small town in Wyoming, USA, a place called Nowhere. A perfect name as far as he was concerned. Magic, fate has a way of finding you no matter where you go though.

She was stuck with limp, mousey brown hair.
Tonks didn’t scream the way she once would have. Instead, she felt bleak satisfaction. This is what grief looks like, she thought. It isn’t pretty.
Tonks' trouble with her Metamorphosing? It's complicated.

In the famous ‘Spinner’s End’ chapter, Snape makes one remark that I find even harder to explain away than the whole Murder-of-Dumbledore-complex – after all, we all know that he did it on Albus’s orders, right?
But what about Snape’s claim to Bellatrix? (HBP p. 35)
“The Dark Lord is satisfied with the information I have passed him on the Order. It led, as perhaps you have guessed, to the recent capture and murder of Emmeline Vance (…)”
Could he risk claiming that if it was not true? Is it true, and Snape IS evil after all? Or is Emmeline still alive? Here’s my take on what might have been before ‘Spinner’s End’ takes place...

Summary: “Why are you here?” Monicola asked quietly.
“Not for tea, I can tell you that much.” Hawk reached into his pocket and withdrew a small vial full of a thick red liquid. “Thirsty?”
Monicola’s eyes grew wide with fear. “Hawk, don’t even think about it. You know what blood does to me this early.”
“Exactly,” he whispered and then kissed her on the lips.
All in one motion Hawk was on top of her, the cork in the vial was off, and his wrist was tilted, threatening to drip the liquid in her mouth.
Harry has been introduced to one of Lupin's "old friends" who has asked her to become the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher despite her more serious attribute. Asked to tell of her knowledge of Sirius Black, the possible new DADA professor embarks on a tale that could explain Sirius' death.

A Marauder tale set during the first war. A story of love, hate, friendship and betrayal; and how, at the end of the day, you only have yourself, alone.
There is a LOT I would add to this now that DH has been released, but what's done is done.

Severus has never seen the appeal of repetition, particularly of things that ended badly the first time. In his life, he has kept one pet, owned one broom, and had one close friend.
Winner of Mod Quicksilver Quill for Best Novel! Thanks, all!
Rating and warnings do not apply to all chapters; I just didn't want anyone hooked and then shocked.
"What is it?" His mother held out her hand, and he put the letter in it wordlessly. "Are you eleven already?"
His father lowered the newspaper to look at the calendar. "Yesterday. ‘Appy birthday." And that was the end of that.

Curious as to why Sirius always seemed to harbor a special hate for Snape? The answer is here. Set in the time of the Marauders, sixth year, this is a startling revelation into their animosity. Rated R for offensive language, GA, MOL and (eventual mentioning of a) SSP. SSP means SAME SEX PAIRING. Do not read if you are offended by such things.

Remus saw Harry’s pain. He saw it from the moment the boy, or rather, man, walked through the door. He wished he could do something to dull the anguish in Harry’s eyes. But that seemed difficult while he was still dealing with his own hurt.
