Hmmm... what to say about me... I'm 19 and I'm from London. I've loved Harry Potter pretty much since the moment the first book came out, and I hated all the hype at first. I didn't like the thought that a book which had been a carefully kept secret was now out in the open, at the mercy of the world's hysteria. But hey - it's brought us all joy, and a brilliant horde of fan fiction!

My favourite book is OotP - I think the darker Harry gets, the more interesting the story becomes. Thus my fiction tends to centre around the darker strains to Harry's character, and his fears. Very little fluff involved!

Anything else interesting to say?... I'm a literary type of gal as 19 year olds go - unsurprising given that I'm in my first year of a degree in English Literature. I'm fond of poetry(especially Keats, Auden and Eliot), fond of a handful of the great novels (Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, 1984, anything by James Joyce). And I LOVE Classical Literature (The Odyssey, the Aeneid, Sophocles). It takes a while to get to grips with, but if you haven't tried, it's worth it.

Seems a strange combination really, when I think about it - Harry Potter and Sophocles. Ah well - that's life I guess!

Right Under His Nose by CathCarl
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 901]

Summary: Harry comes back from serving detention with Ron and finds Ginny and Dean in a rather compromising position. A strange and confusing set of new feelings erupts... like wanting to punch Dean Thomas senseless. But what's confusing Harry most of all is that Ginny no longer seems to be just Ron's little sister... she's a beautiful girl, standing right under his nose-- exactly where he hadn't been looking.

The Unseemly Proposal by sparx
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 5423]

Summary: Past Featured StoryThe reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Read to find out how this one unseemly proposal causes absolute chaos in their lives! THIS STORY IS NOT HBP and DH COMPATIBLE! Hey all! Check out my personal info for the expected date of the next update. =)

Summary: He turned from the window, put his glasses back on and smiled at Crookshanks, who stretched and pawed the covers of the bed. “Do you think anyone will ever love me for who I am, and not who they think I am?” asked Harry, running a hand through his untamed hair. He didn’t think it possible that a cat could roll its eyes…
