Hey, everyone.
I'm Kate. I'm just your average 19-year-old girl. I love writing, and I absolutely adore Harry Potter, so you put two and two together, and you get this.
I love the James/Lily genre; it's my favorite because there's so much left to the imagination
I'm also a Harry/Hermione 'shipper' [oh, how I detest that word!], even though it'll never happen, but I've just never been able to picture Ron and Hermione together...it's too weird...
Some things you might be interested in knowing:
1) I will keep a running tally of how my stories are getting along here, once the whole process starts going...so if you want to know, just look.
2) I have absolutely no idea how to make banners or anything like that, so if some kind-hearted soul out there would like to teach me/make them for me, that would be greatly appreciated!
3) My favorite part of writing is writing emotions. I love creating thoughts and feelings for my characters...fleshing them out, instead of making them all action. I like to think it shows in the finished product.
4) As you will come to notice, I tend to make numbered lists. A lot.
But for now, we all just have to sit and wait for the lovely administrators to validate my submissions...I've been having trouble with that...the whole validation thing. But as they say, patience is a virtue.
Stories So Far
1 - Just Sand and Water - This is intended to be the first part of a mostly James/Lily-centric 'Marauder Era' series of stories...as of right now, it's looking to be fairly long, but I do have the whole thing planned out. Chs 1 [prologue] - 7 are validated. Ch 8 is waiting for validation, as of the moment.
Stay tuned!

The Upside of Being Down by Kimberley

Summary: *COMPLETED!*What happens when you put a hopelessly "romantic" man-hussy and a girl with a soft spot for bedtime activities (not THOSE activities, silly!) together in a dark bedroom? Well, I don't happen to know either, so I suppose we'll find out together, won't we? Come with me, Tia C. Spencer, on a lovely ride through the countryside... er, lakeside... okay, so we won't actually be riding NEXT to anything, but it will be lovely, I promise you that. How can it not be, with me as your illustrious (and quite possibly mad) companion?
And no, contrary to beliefs very likely impressed upon you by this summary, I'm not a gormless prat.
Well... not entirely.

Meant To Be by chloish
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 679]
Summary: "What can I say?" James shrugged his shoulders. "We are just obviously,"
"Completely,"
"Irrefutably,"
"Logically,"
"Undeniably,"
"Unfortunately,"
James laughed, "Meant to be."
Lily Evans and James Potter share absolutely nothing in common, not even their feelings for each other. Lily, perceived as a ‘model student,’ detests the handsome, popular, Quidditch star James, who she thinks to be something of a git. James, on the contrary, has been infatuated with Lily for years, and has let her and the whole school know it.
As time progresses into Voldemort’s ‘reign of terror,’ the two have to learn to trust, tolerate, and love each other.
Please note, this story is incomplete, and will likely remain so for a long time. I apologize!
