Hello all, I'm Caren, or Pauline as I go by in real life. I've been on MNFF for close to four years, but I've been inactive for an extremely long while. I have a single one-shot up here, which I love, and was featured a bit ago. I've written every now and then for the past two years, but not regularly. My muse and I have come to agreement (I sort of sold my soul, really) and I'm starting to write on a regular basis again, though there isn't much posting. I have a writing community that's set up for new fanfiction; all I have to do is actually post some. I rarely write in the Harry Potter fandom now, and I've branched out to writing original fiction or other fandoms. Feel free to look it up @ synthalia. See you around, and have a gorgeous day. :)

Summary: She could walk through the graveyard without blinking, bypassing the graves of fallen childhood friends. She could walk through the halls of Hogwarts without missing a step, tracing back a path to her first day as she rushed through the school. She could even make her way to the Forbidden Forest and trample through it, ignoring the splashes and stains that still marred the aged trees and wasted ground. But Hermione cannot make herself face the Great Lake, calm on this balmy summer day, where she had watched three people she had slowly grown to love fade from existence. Character Death within. Post-Hogwarts.

Once again she relives the fifteen minutes she couldn't escape. One-shot.
Summary: Hope, loyalty, love, despair, and tragedy. Through it all, Lily discovers the truth about the Marauders, the affable troublemakers who hide behind smokescreens but still glitter in shattered light. They aren't the glorious, graceful men they are often perceived as, but stumbling, awkward boys who are still trying to find their way out of darkness.
Summary: The darkness, a blackness apart from the night, began to creep back into their world. And they fought, and bled, but what kept the sickness of fear and doubt at arm's length was "Caribbean Blue" and "Habanera", glowing and forcing itself into the very foundations of Hogwarts. Veins of silver, copper and gold raced through the very heart of their world as they played and played into the late night. A Trio fic, f. The Bloody Baron.
Summary: She stands up to those who would tear her down. She laughs when others would cry. She sings when the rest of the world screams in anguish.
Summary: This tale of the teacher whom everyone loathes,
Accounts for his anger and elegant clothes.
It dripped through my mind when, too scantily cloaked,
I got caught in a rainstorm and throughly soaked.
WARNING: Despite the glints of humour, you will need a handkerchief.
