I'm a forty something fantasy fiction fan. Well written worlds like Anne McCaffrey's Pern and Tad Williams' Erkynland feel like home. I love the Harry Potter series and can't help but want to play there!
Summary: A chance meeting in a graveyard brings the two ends of the tragedy full circle, and ties them together in a knot of completion. Loss never fades, but the remaining pieces can make a new whole again. Rated AU for the assumption that Lily Potter's father was still living at the end of the second wizarding war.
This story won First Place in the Terrible Two-Shot Challenge.
This story was nominated for the 2014 Quicksilver Quill Awards: Best Non-Canon Romance and Best Alternate Universe.
Summary: Thirteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts Adam Cynon, a veteran of the battle, returns to the school for the first time, now as a professor, but he's about to find out that there are new secrets in the ancient castle, and there are forces on both sides that don't appreciate his contribution to Hogwarts' past, present and future.
Summary: The Hogwarts teachers are facing the first school year after the Battle of Hogwarts. How can they help the students, and the whole community, heal? What will it take to feel as if the world is back to normal?
Summary: Several years after the final battle, Dudley Dursley is struggling to come to terms with his past and the things he has done wrong. His life is turned upside down when he meets a charming young witch and is drawn into a path that leads him back into his cousin's world.
Summary: Everyone knows the story of Harry's time at Hogwarts . . . but what was it like for the other students? Many other stories unfolded during those years . . . this is one of them.
Harry waits for someone to meet him at Godric's Hollow on Christmas Eve. This is a story about growing up, moving on and remembering your past without taking it with you.
H/Hr friendship with a bit of H/G
Summary: It is Christmas Eve 1998, and the Magical World is shakily celebrating the first Christmas since Voldemort’s defeat.
For one, though, there is no reason to celebrate. Draco Malfoy sits alone in his room refusing to join his parents as they try to regain their social standing.
He does not want to see another Christmas, but he reckons without a redoubtable figure from his past.
My name is Equinox Chick from Hufflepuff, and this story has been written for prompt four of the Great Hall Christmas Challenge over at the MNFF Beta Boards.
Thank you to Natalie for a quick beta job on this – anything to get her away from Rabelais, I guess.
Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. Her lawyers agree, so please don’t confuse us.
Summary: Christmas is a time for family, so Harry spends it with his. Both of them... UK English.
Ron Weasley is staying at Shell Cottage during the Christmas of 1997. These are the thoughts and feelings that occupy him. This is ahattab33 of Hufflepuff, and this is for the "Watching the Mirror" class on the MNFF Beta Boards.
Summary: I always felt there was a chapter missing from Deathly Hallows between the final chapter and the Epilogue. I needed a chance to wind down from all of the action, mourn the dead, and tie up some loose ends before being thrown 19 years into the future. This is my version of that missing chapter. Hope you enjoy it!
Summary: After the war's end, Ron and Hermione's happy ending is shattered by depression and loss. In an effort to find what she's lost, Hermione travels Europe alone, while Ron writes letters that he doesn't send, waiting for her return.
