Hello! I'm Alyssa. I joined this site just after I turned thirteen and I'm still here. Well, I'm here off and on.
Mugglenet is where I read my first fanfic, and it's where I tried submitting my first story. I met some of my best friends here.
This is just a great place.
I don't write very often, and when I do it's short. That'll never change, so never expect anything more than a one shot from me.
To anyone who has given me a review, thank you very much!
My first ever one-shot is Home, and my second is Talking in the Ministry. I don't think they are very good, so read at your own caution.

The smell was powerful, so magnificently intense…so very, very alluring.
There was a war going on. Fear was prevalent everywhere and these species were free to roam the city of London. Free to breed…free to feed on whoever they desired. It’s one thing to get afraid when being attacked, but the fear goes to a whole new level when you can’t see your attacker…
Follow the lives of two Muggles running through the narrow alleyways of London, when they’re suddenly confronted by one of the most feared creatures in the Wizarding world.
I love you. I love you. I love you. And you know I would never waste those words. I would never say those words if I didn’t mean them."
This is the letter Alphard Black is reading at the breakfast table with his sister Walburga watching him very, very closely.
Why did Alphard Black leave all his money to his errant nephew Sirius?
Might it have been because the letter he read one morning in the early fifties was from a Muggleborn?
Summary: RBHJ: Unwavering loyalty, social propriety, hierarchy of station. Regulus Black knew his place, his purpose, his duty. What he didn’t know was himself. Enter the young woman who would make him question everything. Even his own heart. :Romance, Drama:
Summary: After a year playing Quidditch for the Harpix’s, Ginny finds herself whisked off to Italy for a summer holiday by none other than dear Aunt Muriel. Although Ginny might welcome a holiday, Muriel is not the best of traveling companions. And when one Draco Malfoy comes rather literally tumbling into the scene, will this prove to be the nightmare holiday Ginny envisions, or something else entirely?
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance-Non Canon
Summary: After an unexpected attack on Hogsmeade takes the lives of several loved ones, Ginny Weasley is left with only grief as a remnant of war. But what she never anticipated, in the wake of all the tragedy, was to find her will to live again in the form of a bawling, grey-eyed baby left to die in the wreckage of battle... the baby of Draco Malfoy. REVISED VERSION.
Summary: CoS era: Ron meets Aragog and his charming family when Harry drags him along for a visit - and he is afraid. Very afraid... A hopefully humorous songfic from Ron's PoV, inspired by the Gloria Gaynor song of the same name.
Summary: The Marauders have a knack for finding things, but are terrible at figuring out what they are. Luckily, Gryffindor is full of informative people...
This is a collection of related one-shots about confusion over Muggle objects. An excerpt from the first chapter, A Contraceptive Controversy:
James Potter was quite brilliant, or at least he’d like to think so. He had some of the best grades in the sixth year- they would probably be the best if he did his homework regularly. The Marauder’s Map had been his idea- even if he wasn’t brilliant, the Map certainly was. He was also an animagus. An (illegal) animagus at sixteen was something brilliant indeed.
So if he was so brilliant, then why was he incapable of identifying the object before him?
It’s not like it was particularly complex: all it was was a little piece of rubber, really. There’s nothing complicated about that, is there? No, not at all.
Summary: Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks both died alone; their friends would never know the story of their last breaths.
Here is, at least, the tale of the death of one of them. Tonks is looking everywhere for her husband, but in the end she will have to face the terrible truth and her own fate...
In the darkened shadow, on the pathway small and narrow,
I wait to see the child, the child I promised to defend.
Upon first seeing Harry, Sirius pictures someone else. His thoughts on Harry, his failed role as godfather and his sorrow of losing James.
Inspired by "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe
It was like a wizard tale. The clever Slytherin helps a hag who later repays the debt. Except that Rose Weasley wasn't a hag, and Scorpius didn't expect to call in the favour.

Summary: All accomplished men like Dad share something in common – they are looked down, degraded, criticised for everything they say or do, right or wrong, and they take all of that in, patiently, uncharacteristically. Somewhere in those decades, the same society gives up on them, awards them with a pedestal of hero-ship and an immunity from all things used to roughen them up in a past life. People like Dad never again stand on the common ground like the rest of us.
Albus Potter reflects over past and present upon his father’s death. My impression of Harry Potter in later years – a hero of sort and so much more.
Summary: James and Lily are dead and a traitor on the loose, but did you ever wonder what was going on with the rest of those that had known and loved them? This is a story and a song that tells their story of that horrible night.
The song used is Dream On by Aerosmith.
I am eternalangel and this is my final for the MWPP class.
Summary: "Well the first time I met your mum she told me the reason she was never a prefect at school was that she had a complete inability to stay out of trouble.... And as for your dad…well he was a Marauder wasn’t he?”
Mr. and Mrs. Potter- or, as they prefer to be called, Lily and James- are two well-respected and talented top field operatives for the Order of the Phoenix. But they have sacrificed having a home of their own and the careers of their choice to fight bravely against Lord Voldemort. Now, at barely twenty years of age, life has thrown them another curve . . . Lily is pregnant. How can you face starting a family when all you've ever known of adult life is war? In this tale, everybody's favorite couple is forced to grow up once again.
They were the couple that made single people jealous and older people shake their heads fondly, lost in thought.
Summary: It is not the full moon, nor an alcoholic night gone wrong, nor a day before finals. No. It is the first meeting of junior members of the Order of the Phoenix, and Remus is terrified out of his wits.
A Remus-centric one-shot.
Lyrics taken from "Butterflies and Hurricanes" by Muse.
Summary: Snape loved Lily. He never knew that type of love again.
Summary: "Never let him push you too far," they told her.
"Never let him talk you into things you'd never normally do," they whispered to her when she was in doubt.
Summary: 2007 QSQ Awards Runner-up for Best Post-Hogwarts

*Quote from The Epilogue*
Suddenly Harry was kissing her as if he couldn’t resist the temptation. There was a kind of frenzy to the kiss at first, a kind of desperate need, but it melted into something soft and sweet and gentle, a promise of a future when kisses would never be limited. When they broke apart he rested his forehead on hers, sprinkling a few affectionate butterfly kisses across her face. “I love you,” he murmured.
