I am now 27 years old, have been married for five years (no children yet!) , and I am an English teacher in the Dallas area. I first became interested in Harry Potter when I was a senior in high school and the addiction has slowly grown worse through the years! :) I especially became addicted to mugglenet when I was working on my master's degree because I needed a getaway from all of my stress! I don't know if I'll write anything soon, but I might try to in the future. I have all these stories in my head, but I just don't have the time to get them down yet! I love all the fan fics though! You all are great writers! :)
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.
Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.
Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.
Summary: After taking different paths a couple of years ago, Ron and Hermione find each other again, both of them wondering if their separation was a mistake. This applies especially to Hermione, who is leading an empty, unhappy life next to her fiance.
UPDATE (12/7/11): Newest chapter posted. Let us hope next one doesn't take me a year.
The Wizarding War is over.
Auror training has begun and Harry and Ron find that their lives are centred round London and the Ministry of Magic.
For Ginny and Hermione there is the inevitable return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Their lives are centred round schooling in Scotland.
Do these divided duos have different destinations and divergent destinies? When, where and how can these parted pairings meet? Opportunities are limited to holidays, Hogsmeade visits and school Quidditch matches.
Nominated for: Best Post-Hogwarts (Chaptered) story - Quicksilver Quills 2012
Summary: London: Four murders have taken place under bizarre circumstances, for what seems to be an equally bizarre reason.
Harry, a happily wedded man with a wonderful wife and a cute daughter, is an Auror at the Ministry of Magic and is now given a new case to solve with Ron and four other Aurors. Incidentally, the four Aurors include Ginny, Harry’s ‘schoolboy crush’; and it turns out to be much more than a crush when Harry sees her again. What’s more is that Harry is working upon a case that seems to connect to him directly. And once again, it opens up old fears: fears of losing loved ones.
Ron, on the other hand, seems to be tired of Hermione. Tempers are running high and fights are breaking out more often than usual. Are they really falling apart? Or can they sort this out before it is too late?
Then there is the case itself. Who is trustworthy, and who is not? Who is deadly enough to murder four people in cold blood?
Indulge into the gut-wrenching action, combined with warm romance and tingling suspense; while I tell you a story of love, ambition and obsession… a story of what those killer instincts can do. EDIT: MAJOR revamping going on, with regard to plot, characterisation, and general style of writing. I would urge you not to read this until I've removed this notice because I wasn't very good six years ago, and this is as bad as I was. *Places traffic cones*
Summary: "It hurts, doesn't it?"
"Pretending you've fallen out of love."
At the lead up to Ron’s wedding, questions start to be asked - by Ron, by Hermione - and by Ron’s bride-to-be. Over the years, the paths that were once so closely intertwined have separated, leading off in different directions. Meeting at the crossroads, looking back at the journey that has led them there, will Ron and Hermione choose to take a turn that may take them off-course forever, or simply continue straight ahead? Exect humour, mix ups, twists and turns amongst Ron and Hermione's ever tempestuous relationship - now complete!
Summary: It was a brand new day in a brand new world, and Harry Potter, just like the rest of the Wizarding World, didn't know how to begin living life again. This, above all, is his story. A story of rebuilding. H/G, R/Hr.
What happens when you find out your whole life has been a lie? How do you react when the people you trusted, believed in confess to hiding a secret that changes everything you believed about yourself?
Hermione Granger is about to face that situation.
The war is over and life should be simple. She should be planning her future with the man she has loved since she was 11. But now, she doesn’t know who she really is. As she struggles with the grief of lost friends, she also deals with the grief of the loss of everything she believed about herself. Can she open her heart enough to let Ron help her deal with this, or will this secret drive them apart?
Summary: Harry and Ginny are happily married with a baby on the way. When they manipulate Ron and Hermione into both meeting them for lunch, the last thing anyone expected was for Harry and Ginny to be kidnapped.
Suddenly Ron and Hermione are left with nothing more than a note and the realization it’s up to them to follow the clues and rescue the couple they both love and adore. If only the clues weren't nonsense. If only they knew who could possibly have taken Harry and Ginny. If only they didn’t hate each other. If only they hadn’t once loved each other.
Life just got a whole lot more complicated for Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
"Harry was right: there was no such thing as understanding girls, no matter how old a bloke got."
Summary: This follows Ron and Hermione 10 years after school.
When Hermione doesn't turn up for the group's ten year reunion at Hogwarts, Ron becomes suspicious about why Hermione is too busy to be there. But what he discovers is beyond what he ever imagined.
After seeing each other again nine years later, can Ron and Hermione find the love they shared once again?
NOTE: THIS STORY IS NOT ENTIRELY COMPLETED. IT IS TEMPORARILY STOPPED, BUT WILL BE RETURNED TO IN THE FUTURE.
Summary: They have battled evil, fate, destiny, time, even each other. Now Ron and Hermione take an emotional ride to battle something equally as treacherous….nerves.
The third installment in my “Battles” series continues here in a fluffier-than-is-normal-for-this-author tale depicting the Jitters Ron and Hermione experience when popping the big question and the events leading up to it.
If you have just found this story, be sure to read “Internal Battles” and “Battling Boundaries”. This story stands alone, but the other two will help complete the back-story. You should enjoy them too! Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: JKR started it…I am just playing with the fabulous characters!
Summary: What would have happened to Harry if James had not been home the night Voldemort visited Godric's Hollow? If he had the chance to grow up with his father in a wizarding community, knowing what he represented and with people to turn to who are older than he is? Harry turns eleven years old and gets a letter from Hogwarts he fully expected to receive.
The first chapter has been significantly edited, with the help of a new beta.
Summary: After Harry''s victory over Lord Voldemort, Harry and Ron enter Auror Training Academy, while Hermione enters the Ministry''s Advocacy Division. However, Harry and Ron''s training is interrupted by the appearance of a most unlikely person and by a brutal series of murders linked to Harry himself. Hermione takes on the arduous task of defending the accused murderer, much to Ron''s dismay. As Harry, Ron, and Hermione set off on an arduous journey to discover the truth about the murders, mystery, secrets, adventure and romance abounds, and Harry must finally confront Ginny about a dark secret from his past. Pairs: R/Hr; Ginny/Harry/OC/Charlie
Summary: After the last battle Ron and Hermione started a relationship. But Ron's love for being an Auror soon surpasses Hermione, and they break it off, both heartbroken and discouraged. Hermione’s love for books has obscured her mind, and she soon discovers a tiny shop on the outskirts of Muggle London to establish a bookstore, a place where she can wield her own adoration as well as assist others in theirs. She leaves the magical world and all of the friends she's made behind with it. She hides her wand in a box under bed, away from any harm or pretense to use it. Fairly soon, what had started out as a shop that many thought would go out of business in weeks had established itself as a very worthwhile enterprise. Mark, Hermione's boyfriend, is constantly toying with her nerves, his abusive and whiny persona taking its toll on her life.
On a very important date in Muggle London, Mark proposes to Hermione under the oddest of circumstances, and Hermione glimpses Ron for the first time in nearly a year. Her love for him causes Mark to be outraged, and they leave the scene they have made in shambles.
Ron and Hermione are soon dating again, now that their lives have settled and their jobs are at ease. All is going well until Hermione begins to show signs of sickness. Bruises are forming on her body and she can't make out where they came from. She dismisses them and blames it on clumsiness, but the headaches become worse and worse until one day she finally collapses and is taken to St. Mungo's.
Hermione's illness turns out to be worse than anyone could have ever imagined. Will she be able to overcome it, and will true love prevail it all?
This is a new and improved, revamped version of this story. It has been rewritten halfway in compliance with DH. The older story, with all of its lovely reviews, have been regretfully deleted to make room for this version. Enjoy!
Summary: Exhausted and spent with grief, Harry and Ginny wonder if they can find solace in each other's arms.
Summary: Hermione must conquer her inner demons or lose everything. A tale of self-discovery and friendship. Hogwarts era.
