Bio:
I am a huge Harry Potter fanatic, and I love writing anything. I currently have two complete stories (The Gentleman He Used to Be and The Victory of the Lions), but I've got many works in progress or beta-ing. Here are some of my HP stats:
Favorite book: The Deathly Hallows (which else?)
Least favorite book: The Prisoner of Azkaban
Favorite movie: The Order of the Phoenix
Least favorite movie: The Chamber of Secrets
Favorite main character: Hermione
Favorite supporting character: Umbridge (that's what made OotP such a good movie)
Favorite canon ship: Ron/Hermione (they were MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!
Least favorite canon ship: Bill/Fleur
Favorite non-canon ship: Remus/James
Least favorite non-canon ship: Hermione/Snape (really?)
Favorite category: Next Generation
Least favorite category: Humor (so many "humor" fics really just aren't funny)

Describe who you are as a writer / your writing style:
I write to become a better writer, and because I love it. Words are my passion, but I don't consider myself to 'spin' or 'weave' them. I like exploring tone, reactions, and characterization. I enjoy writing about children because you can get away with a lot of far-out ideas that would never occur to an adult.

What to expect from me:
I write for fun, and for the love, not for any other benefits. I'm not usually a serious writing, although I enjoy a fair amount of drama. I occasionally take a turn for the dark side, but for the most part, I like to keep it light: family, friendship, adventure, that sort of thing!

Name areas of writing in which you excel:
I write for the plot, not the miniscule details. You'll never find that so-and-so did whatever-he-ddid because of whatever-he-found was in wherever-it-was in chapter whichever-it-was. Once I write something, I move on, and I don't end up relating chapter one to the epilogue very much. In a way, I suppose this could also be called my biggest writing weakness.

What type of stories do you prefer to write:
I like any story that I can churn out, as long as I really feel a sense of ownership. I love the feeling after I've spent a good two or three hours on the keyboard. My hands are hot, my brain is fried, and my document is riddled with mistakes, but the story is the best. I wish I could write a super-long fic, but as was previously mentioned, these require a lot of attention to small details. I may just have something in mind, though.

What type of stories do you dislike:
I like canon-compliant stories, because I often learn new things about the books, but it's not good to be so canon that it's basically copied from the books. If I read a fic that has loads of ideas from JK Rowling without an original spin on them, I get bored and frustrated. I like a bit of adventure and exploration on the writer's part, because that makes a fic memorable.
