I have only just started reading the Fan Fiction and it is really good. I was thinking of writing one myself when I get up the nerve. I am 54 years old and live in Portugal. I started reading HP in 2001 when a friend gave me PS/SS while I was recuperating in hospital. I have since read all the books and found Mugglenet a year ago. I really enjoy reading all the editorials and I have also submitted some ideas to the Magic Quill story. I'm just another fan. I hope my being so old puts you off! I'm young at heart!
