The Society for the Promotion of Evaluations for Writers (by Readers)

What is SPEW?

SPEW is dedicated to leaving quality reviews - and having a lot of fun doing it. Membership comes with review requirements, a “newbie tiara” that might or might not be cursed, and a complimentary straightjacket. We are, in short, an insane but very dedicated branch of the fandom.

SPEW Fanfic Exchanges
Several times a year, SPEW arranges fic exchanges (often themed) where any member may sign up with a story request. Each person will then receive a prompt in return, and fics will be written without knowing who will be writing for you. Once finished, all stories are sent to the organiser, who will be posting them in our spewswap LiveJournal community, which you can find by clicking here.

Reviewer of the Month
At the end of each review period, the SPEW Review Award Committee chooses a winner for this honourable title, and now we are all delighted to congratulate and bow to:
