I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be continuing to write A Girl Like You. I know that lots of you loved this story, I do too. I started writing it when I was in eighth grade, age thirteen, and I'm sure that if you read it, you can see my writing evolve and grow. As Amelia Jordan, my namesake character, grew and matured, so did I. I love her and all the other characters so much, they're practically my good friends. However, my poor writing towards the beginning of the story has limited me in where I want to take it. Plot points that I wanted to use couldn't because of things I had done early on. I know I could always go back and change things, tweak them around so that they work, but frankly, it's more work than I want to go through. So I've decided to stop writing. To everyone who loved this story and begged for updates, thank you so so so so so so so much!!! You guys are amazing. :)

Since I cut AGLY short, I'd like to share some of the things I had planned for the story.
-At the New Years party, I had written a draft of the most epic snowball fight ever. It was very fun to write, and might be one of my favorite scenes in the story so far.
-During the party, Sirius was going to take Amelia away from the group, they would exchange presents, and then they would finally have their first kiss.
-I wrote a draft to a chapter where Amelia goes to Lily's house. It was really fun to dabble around in the Muggle world.
-After returning to school, with no sign of Leah, Remus would get really depressed. Everyone was pretty down, so the Marauders hosted a "Win a Date With a Marauder" contest to cheer everyone up.
-The magical disease that struck Beauxbatons would strike Hogwarts. My theory behind it was that, after being exposed to the illness, a person doesn't show any symptoms at all until months after.
-My introduction to the disease part was one of my favorite moments, in my head. I never got around to writing it out. Amelia was studying in the library, she hears a noise from one of the rows. She goes to investigates, and finds Hollie passed out. Hollie is the first to fall ill.

I hadn't planned anything past that point.
I'm really sorry to all my readers for doing this, and I hope that you continue to like the chapters I currently have up.
