1. Chapter 1 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 32] (2485 words)
Disclaimer: I am not J K Rowling and these are not my characters. I only wish they were.
2. Chapter 2 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 15] (4305 words)
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter . . . unfortunately!
3. Chapter 3 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 14] (3726 words)
This chapter represents a dramatic change of pace from the previous two. To borrow a line from the late, great Bette Davis: “Fasten your seat belts. It’s going to be a bumpy ride!”
4. Chapter 4 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 19] (3052 words)
Disclaimer: J K Rowling owns Harry Potter and I don't.
5. Chapter 5 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 15] (4772 words)
In reference to the names of Bill and Fleur’s twin sons, Romulus and Remus, particularly the nicknames Fleur assigns to them: Romy might be a bit of a stretch, but Remy is actually a fairly common French name which, curiously enough, means “healer.” This nickname was chosen deliberately as I’d like to think Remy will grow up to discover a cure for the Werewolf bite that so blighted the life of his father, Bill Weasley, as well as the man for whom he was named, Remus Lupin.
6. Chapter 6 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 9] (4247 words)
7. Chapter 7 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 12] (3534 words)
The plot thickens in this chapter, which ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. Thanks to everyone for all the lovely reviews. They've really been keeping me motivated to keep this story going.
8. Chapter 8 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 24] (3218 words)
A lot of clues are included in this chapter that are important later on. Hopefully it won't leave anyone too confused, but if it does, just keep reading . . . all will be revealed in the fullness of time!
9. Chapter 9 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 12] (4896 words)
Attention all fluff lovers! I caved in to the impulse to include a little more romance in this chapter, but hopefully it also contains enough substance to keep mystery lovers enthralled. Happy reading!
10. Chapter 10 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 13] (4672 words)
As part of my ongoing effort to keep this story true to JKR’s vision, I’ve incorporated some of the information from last month’s interview at Carnegie Hall (No, not the stuff about Dumbledore. I'm not about to open THAT can of worms!). This chapter contains another dose of fluff and some additional clues, though a few plot details have come as a surprise, even to me (I’m not sure whose spirit I’m channeling with this story, but frankly it’s starting to creep me out a little). By the time you finish reading this, some of you may believe you’ve figured everything out, but don’t be too sure – there’s more to come!
11. Chapter 11 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 27] (3370 words)
After the pleasant lull at the end of the last chapter, this one takes you back up the cliff where I’ll have to leave you hanging again, at least for a little while. A few more plot twists and turns are in store, and soon we’ll be heading to the Burrow for a Weasley family reunion which promises to be anything but dull. Happy reading and remember to keep those cards and letters (otherwise known as reviews) coming!
12. Chapter 12 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 30] (3189 words)
The pace picks up to warp speed in this chapter. Answers are revealed, but more questions are raised. This one's a roller-coaster ride, people, so hang onto your hats!
13. Chapter 13 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 23] (3503 words)
Time for a breather. This chapter provides an emotional break before heading off to the Burrow for high jinx and even more dramatic twists and turns.
14. Chapter 14 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 26] (4915 words)
This chapter is a mostly fun excursion into the Wonderful World of Weasleys, including a wizarding version of the old Muggle game "Truth or Consequences." However, be prepared for a huge shock at the end when we climb back up the cliff for a hanging you probably didn't anticipate.
15. Chapter 15 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 27] (4326 words)
I seem to have created such a maelstrom with the cliffhanger at the end of Chapter 14 that I figured I'd better get the next chapter posted right away before some of my loyal readers burst into flames. THANK YOU, MODS for validating so quickly! Cheers, everyone!
16. Chapter 16 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 24] (5090 words)
My original intent was to write two more chapters, plus an Epilogue, but this section ended up being so long that I decided to split it into two. The good news is that I’m nearly finished with Chapter 17, which should arrive hard on the heels of this one. Thanks for sticking with the story and stay tuned for Chapter 17!
17. Chapter 17 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 24] (3775 words)
Harry and Ginny's quest to rescue their children continues with some surprising twists, including a little assistance from Teddy Lupin who brings new meaning to the phrase, "I've got a secret. . ."
18. Chapter 18 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 23] (5215 words)
This was a difficult chapter to write, primarily because it deals with such strong emotions, but also because it’s so near the conclusion that I wanted to make sure I had all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed. In addition, I think there may be a bit of reluctance on my part to let this story go. Thus, the delay in posting. Whatever questions aren’t answered in this chapter will hopefully be provided in the Epilogue. So here it is, for your reading pleasure, and please take just a minute to leave a review at the end.
19. Chapter 19 by Cassandras Cross [Reviews - 58] (4116 words)
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but I’m sure I’ll do a little of both when I finally hit the ‘Complete’ button on this story. Here is the conclusion of ‘The Letter.’ Be sure to read the 'Afterword' at the end and, for the last time, please take just a minute to leave a review.
