I guess I'm kind of like Minerva. I think my two brothers are idiots too. I talk to them but they're idiots:P

Author's Response: This makes me giggle every single time I read it, which tells you I've been holding off on a review response for a laugh:). So, thank you. I should have responded to this ages ago. Yeah, like my mother always says, there's always that one idiot in the family. And if you don't know who that is, that's probably you. I am sometimes, probably more often than not, the idiot in my own family. Haha. I don't think personally that the one brother is an idiot, although he might be, you know, his own special brand of idiot. Thanks for this review. It's great. Made me laugh. Like, a lot. The first time I read it? Coffee, everywhere. Thank you.

I liked the story but for some reason I was kind of lost at the beginning. I had trouble figuring out who was who and all the different interrelationships. Then I realized I had the right idea from the start. For a while I though Elphinstone was Minerva's father. I think I have it figured out now in time for the next chapter.

I think the "strangest man" is Malcolm, ;), but you have definitely taken a character that was just a funny name in the HP lexicon and made him live and breathe for me. Elphinstone and Minerva are an odd, yet sweet couple.

Author's Response: How am I not responding to these things? Christ. I am bad. I am bad at this. Yeah, I thought it was a funny name, until I remembered that Rowling is Scottish, and that's a location. I'm really glad she even bothered writing these passages on Pottermore because she didn't have to share any of that. She's a writer - she didn't have to share any of it . I like the weird people, those who are weird within reason. With the caveat. Old people are just cute to me. Glad you liked it and thanks, as always, for the help. Paige. And the review.

I love your Mycroftian Malcolm. If you ever get the urge to write a story for him, you better not ask anyone else to beta! :)

Author's Response: You know, that wasn't supposed to happen, and I never thought that you would make that connection. Sherlock actually is my favorite television show on BBC. I'm finding that some characters just come easily when you don't mean them too, and they hit home and get crafted out of nothing. Purely nothing. While I meant for Malcolm to say "dear brother" the rest of it just popped into my head and I have no idea how it got there. Did i mean for him to be cynical? Yes, oh, God, yes. I am attempt this, but the problem with that is I don't know if I can capture the essence of the character, carry it through, and do Malcolm, who is essentially an OC, justice. In the words of Barney Stinston "Challenge Accepted", though I'm going to probably fall flat on my face, Paige. HAHA! Thank you for always being there and thanks for the help.
