It's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

This isn't the typical boy meets girl romance, but "the fundamental things apply" and make me go "aw" because Minerva and Elphinstone are both equally awkward at it. :D

Author's Response: Yeah. I love the awkward part of this. Especially his character and I don't really know why. Haha. Thanks for the review, Paige.

You make me think of Casablanca and the piano player Sam singing, "You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss."

A guy definitely wrote those lyrics. Women (like Minerva) think, "Did their kiss mean anything?"

Guess we'll see. ;)

Author's Response: It is bad when your things that you don't know outnumber the ones you do. That's a French word I can't bother myself to recall or spell correctly at the moment. Yeah, I was hoping that this would come off strange and piece itself together. I didn't know how weird it would be to write an old - or older man - who was weird about finding a girl and getting through the awkward stage. That was a good line you suggested. Thanks. She

I thought that was quite unexpected. We know where she ends up, but how did she get there (and single)?

Author's Response: Oh, I thought I responded to this. Sorry, Dad, I wasn't ignoring you there - I just missed it. Yeah, so I basically followed Pottermore as a reference. This was a hard one to write, given the work relationship and the age difference. Ask my beta. There were SO many discussions and she saved me there. We all start out single, I guess, and go from there. This is kind of my view of how she got there and back again. Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy it. which one
