I just noticed you have a new chapter up. I don't know why I never see them when they show up under the recent category. Sometimes I don't know how these people could even stand to be together during this time. The times themselves were depressing but then you add all the issues shared by these particular people and it must feel even worse. I can understand how Emma feels. After a while you kind of enjoy being alone even though the times you're with someone are nice.
I meant stately, not statey!
I've been followig this story recently, and am very much enjoying! I always thought of Emmeline as a statey middle aged woman,so this is quite a new twist for me. Keep writing!
I think Elijah is looking for the Sorcerer's Stone which Harry's recovered but is in Dumbledore's possession isn't it? I should go back and read all the books again. I wonder if Sirius knew Remus was there when he kissed Emma so hard. I wouldn't put it past him to try to make Remus feel bad.
Author's Response: You should! Dumbledore destroyed the Sorcerer's Stone at the end of Book 1. There's another stone that Dumbledore has an interest in, that Elijah seems to also find interesting. Hint: it was on a ring that shriveled Dumbledore's hand in Book 6 :)
It's so sad that Remus moved out. I found it funny that Sirius still refers to Severus as Snivellus. I guess old habits never die.
Very interesting development.
It really does make sense for Remus to move out but it will make Emma so lonely. Sirius will probably be happier too. I just remembered what Harry said about Arthur's attack--that it was as if he (Harry) were attacking Arthur.
I think the place was Glasgow - not Glasglow.
That was an interesting twist. I guess I'm a little suspicious too of the genealogist. I would think there are people who would automatically turn Sirius in. And, he seemed to know Emma. That's odd. Why would he know her. I can't wait to see what he's really up to. I laughed when the guy they were meeting with first thought he knew Sirius as a madman that he had previously seen on tv. You have to wonder how much of the wizarding news gets out to the general public.
Intriguing . . . hope you update soon! I love this story!
Let's hear it for short chapters! None of my chapters are very long. That slip up when Emma called Sirius Remus could've caused lot of trouble. He seems a little less violent and explosive now. They don't know it yet but they have less than a year together. I don't remember that you've mentioned that Sirius and Tonks are related through Andromeda.
Author's Response: I mentioned that they're cousins, but Andromeda isn't much of a player in this part of the story. In my universe, she doesn't become an active member of the Order until she's called to at the beginning of Deathly Hallows. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
If I were Emma I'd be so greedy. I'd want both Sirius and Remus and be jealous of anyone who tried to take one of them away--like Tonks. I'm glad I live alone except for my four male dogs.
Author's Response: I think she is struggling with that! I know I would be. She knows rationally she can't be jealous of Remus/Tonks, but after having him all to herself for 13 years, how could she not be?!
At least now Sirius and Emma have a place to meet and neither one has to be in too much danger when they meet. I'm glad they all had the sanity and the maturity to reconcile.
Great chapter. I think the sad threesome got some issues settled. Remus must feel so bad and Sirius must feel so embarrassed. Not only did Emma admit to Remus that she loves Sirius, but she has to see Remus again. He can't just go away. If it was me I'd be so stressed.
Nothing ever seems to go smoothly for the people in Harry Potter's circle.
I wonder how much Lucius' withdrawal hurt Emma's company. I don't think Sirius realizes how much he's doing for the Order by giving them a place to meet.
You didn't mention that Mad-Eye wasn't Mad-Eye. I guess we all knew that. Sirius must feel so helpless. He's not thinking that if he moves into his house he'd be able to have Harry visit. Although if I had to contemplate cleaning that house I'd give up before I started.
I haven't read for a couple of weeks so I was delighted to find more than one new chapter to read. i was left wondering how the Conjunctivitis Curse was going to help Harry with dragons. I guess they'd be in pain and not able to see well. I don't know how Sirius can be so disciplined as to be able to leave right away. I would've been tempted to stay the night although when he does that he puts everyone in daner.
Kettles are made of steel. Tea Pots are made of porcelain. What is a "quite note"? They seem to have got themselves into a bad place. Still a unique story.
Again, I feel so bad for this sad threesome. You know they're happy to learn the truth about Sirius but that just adds another layer of problems. I have to wonder if Remus and Emma could've really gotten together or would their memories of Sirius have kept them apart.
