Cute and fluffy indeed! Nice touch with the transformation getting them past the sliding staircase, I was wondering how you were going to do that. Poor James, messing up his proposal. At least she said yes! Nice job! ~Gina :)

I loved this.
Not too cliched, not too soppy, yet still romantic and touching.
I think the thing that makes this so powerful is James envisioning their future, the future we know never happened. Incredibly hard hitting, yet I liked the simplicity of your writing. You didn't say anything outright, you left it to the reader.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review! For a long time I had the image of James sneaking into Lily's room just to be near her, so I was really glad when the rest of the story fell into place
“And you see, I picture it going something like this,” James said. “I propose, she says yes. We shag, because we are so overcome by love; it will be great. We move in together, stay engaged until the war is over, then get married and have thee great kids. You’ll be their Godfather, Remus will be Godmother--” Remus rolled his eyes, “--and Pete will be Uncle Peter. And everyone will be happy and joyous, and Remus will give the kids books and you’ll give them Muggle stuff and Peter will give them Dungbombs. That’s how I see it going.”
This hurts. Wonderfully written.
