Reviews For Awry

Sounds good so far. As a mature person, I'm beginning to wonder if I would've given up a lifelong friendship just because someone called me a name that was not politically correct in the heat of passion, so to speak. I've been called names before but I don't think it ever disturbed me so much that I refused to speak to someone for the rest of my life. Lily was young, though.

Author's Response: First of all- thank you for the review! :) I think that the end to their relationship was not just because of Severus calling Lily a Mudblood. While that is extremely offensive, it isn't, as you pointed out, that bad to call someone names. And it definitely ain't a reason to end a friendship you have had for so long. Except, I believe that for Lily, that was the proverbial last straw. He had been getting into some pretty nasty stuff, and she was already uncertain about whether or not she wanted their friendship to continue so strongly outside of Hogwarts. When he humiliated her in front of the other students that way, I think it confirmed to her that they were not the children they once were, especially because she was only trying to defend him. She was young, (they both were) and probably regretting ending it that way later. However, I don't think she would want to still be close to him. The name calling exposed his changed character to her, and she couldn't pretend not to notice anymore. For example, in the books Lily asks Severus why she is so different from the other Muggle-borns, because he calls all of them Mudbloods. Thank you again for the invitation to the very philosophical conversation. :)

I'm glad ya'll started writing this again. It's a fun read. =)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! We will try to update more frequently, but you know how life can be sometimes. We are very glad that you enjoy it. Just curious- is "ya'll" part of your natural accent, or just for fun? :) Thanks again for being loyal to the story!

If nothing could go wrong, why is this story called "AWRY"?

Author's Response: Because everything doesn't go to plan.

If Lily and James do not get together it will be very bad for the Harry Potter stories.

Author's Response: Haha we know... don't worry it's canon.

I'm loving this! :) Just one thing, maybe use 'mum' all the way through instead of mom and then mum. Just a suggestion to make it more British :)

Author's Response: Thanks! We'll definitely take that into consideration.
