That was such a wonderful ending. I think this is the first story like this I've read--where Dudley is integrated into the magical world. I enjoyed it a lot!
That was wonderful. It's true--Blood is thicker than water. It was good to see Harry and Dudley collaborate on something. Even though Dudley had been a bully countless times, Harry forgave him and did something to teach Dudley's bully a lesson. Loved this story.
That was too brilliant, if there is such a thing. I loved this chapter so much I don't know what to say. When Dudley pulled the lemon pie out I was laughing out loud. The word interaction between the Golden Trio and Greyback was hysterical--with the disappointment, sighing and eye rolling. Dudley's punch was the perfect ending. Now I hope he's saved from the venom.
Author's Response: Awe thanks, I'm so glad you liked this part! It was so much fun to write. Who'd have thought Dudley could become an actual badass. There's something to be said for Muggle dueling... Thanks for commenting!
Poor Dudley. Not only can he not pronounce things correctly but he says the wrong things in front of people. And now he's been knocked unconscious or received the wrong end of a spell or something. I didn't think it was odd to see Draco in Aberforth's bar. Aberforth looks like a man who would take money from you no matter who you were:D
Poor Dudley's going to end up with a heart attack if he keeps this up. It's just like you described him--he's become so open-minded. He's also taking responsibility for his past bullying behavior. I wonder if Dudley would be frightened of a ghost. I think he's at a point where he would just accept Michael Corner showing up.
How much longer will Dudley keep Parvati believing he has memory loss? I hope he doesn't alienate Harry by telling too many secrets to Rita Skeeter. How horrible to have to take a job with Rita Skeeter.
Author's Response: My annoyance with Rita Skeeter is mingled with, like, this weird admiration. She's so relentless. Haha and yeah don't worry Dudley will pull his act together eventually. Thanks for reviewing, again! Cheers :)
I don't think it would be very comfortable at the Leaky Cauldron. Sometimes it seems that magical people live in unseemly conditions. Dudley's very brave for going along with everything that's happening. I think he's about to turn to the magical world. This is such an interesting story.
Having Padma show up was great! And, equally great was that Dudley didn't know that Parvati had a twin. Poor guy--he must really be confused now. I've always wondered how many pathetic young women Dudley's parents paraded in front of him. I wonder who married Aunt Marge:D
I don't think Dudley's going to be able to walk away from the magical world, although I hope he doesn't give an interview to Rita Skeeter. It was painful to have Dudley lie to Parvati and pretend he didn't know her but I always think true love will come through. She'll find him again. Then he'll be in the position of having to apologize. Why does Greyback want to get into Hogwarts? I'm sure you'll let us know.
That was a weird twist. So if Dudley has his memory erased will he remember Parvati? Did Parvati go missing? I hope Harry can keep them from altering Dudley's memory. I love how you have Parvati saying something but Dudley hearing something totally different that matches with his experience.
This was too wonderful, especially when Parvati came back to Dudley's office. I can see that Hermione was willing to do almost anything to get Dudley to the wedding. Can't wait to read that chapter. I'm starting to like Dudley. I'm realizing he was dealing with his parents' prejudices and his own ignorance.
I wonder what the Dursley parents will say about Hermione being at the door. Dudley really must be commended for his bravery here--calling strange places just to find Parvati. But why is Hermione at the door?
Great first chapter. I thought since I was reading your second story I should read the first. It certainly doesn't disappoint. How did you decide to hook Dudley up with Parvati? This is going to be so interesting. I can tell already. It will be fun to watch Dudley with his first girlfriend who thinks he's charming, no less.
Author's Response: Thanks, so glad you like it! Originally I was going to pair Dudley with Cho Chang because it has been revealed in interviews that she married a Muggle, and apparently JKR originally intended to have Dudley with a wizard child at Platform 9 3/4 in the epilogue. But Chang irritates me so much I couldn't really write her. So I went with Parvati, mostly because she's described as being one of the prettiest girls in her year and with a sweet but admittedly spoiled kid like Dudley I think physical attraction would have to be there to bring about the initial spark. Also, Parvati always fought on Harry's side and I just think she's generally pretty cool. Hope you enjoy the rest, thanks again! Cheers :)
Loooved it one of my all time favorites I read it the whole night and stayed up a little too long!
But one thing why did Dudley want Parvati to think he was obliviated? He didnt want to see her again....
Yay! Happy Ending!
Its really refreshing to have Dudley happy for once!
And I really like it!
He deserves it really, its easy to see that underneath Dudley is quite lonley.
I was really suprised when it was Pavarti though! I was expecting a new made up character, but I think this fits beautify!
Hi, I'm new to this site just read this entire story in one night and thought it was great, keep up the good work
Beautiful ending to a great story!!
Brilliant and worth the wait!!!
