I am both impressed and disappointed by your story. I enjoyed seeing Draco being concerned from Hermione and to see them work together when a crisis arose, but I am sad that the most romantic part of their story was cut out. You went from their interaction during the war and then straight to 12 years later. Where is that year that Hermione said she loved him? I read part of your other story about the twins being split up, but when they reference the past, it really goes back to the twin's birth and doesnt flash back to any good memories of Draco and Hermione's relationship. I hope you write a story to fill in the gaps because that would be so exciting! Enjoy your writing, keep it up!
Author's Response: Hi, Jessica. Thank you for this review! Glad you were impressed and sorry you were disappointed. This is why I put that anti-epilogue warning in Chapter Three, hehe. It was tricky deciding what to include and exclude in the epilogue because I don't want to spoil things for CATATI readers. 'That year Hermione loved him' is yet to be revealed in CATATI. Abduction is a prequel to CATATI, but can be a stand-alone with an open ending if read without the epilogue. Thanks again! I hope you'll read CATATI where the gaps are slowly but surely getting filled in. :D
It's amazing. You are my favorite author.
:D Beautiful ending. There's such a magic here, but also an all-encompassing realism, especially when the characters touch each other. Or maybe, more specifically, when Draco touches Hermione. It gives me tingles!
This story makes me feel like I've been wrapped in a warm blanket and plopped in front of a hearth with a mug of cocoa and my favorite book during a blizzard. Quite a feat, considering it's June!
Congratulations, darling, on a wonderful piece!!!
Author's Response: Aw, Mel, thank you! I'm so glad. And with such nice words of praise and encouragement, you shared your mug of cocoa with me and added marshmallows and frozen cream topping. :)
:) Lovely, lovely. And onward I go!
Whee! Still loving it. You've added some great touches - the extended conversation about dragons and demons, and there was more to the cliff scene too, I swear it. Perfect, perfect, perfect. You've really managed to capture them both. Their characters are honestly spot-on.
Author's Response: Thanks mucho, my dear awesome beta! I didn't want to bore you on the reread and I wanted you to reread it when it's up, so there we go, hee. :D
Gah! It doesn't even matter that I've read this twice before, I'm still very much enamored with it! The way you write, the way they interact, the details, the subtleties... It's positively engrossing!!
Author's Response: I'm so glad and tickled and bouncing-on-my-seat pleased, Mel! Thanks again!
Oh, delicious! I'm reading both stories simultaneously- pieces of the puzzle appearing in delightfully agonizing slowness (actually, not slow at all, since you update frequently- thank you for that!!). Interesting how differently you write each story- this one is much more cryptic, much less straightforward than C & T. Can't wait for more! :)
Author's Response: Thank you, dear Stefanie!
I absolutely love the story so far! It's nice to see Draco being Draco instead of a Death Eater who magically changed his ways and becomes a gentleman like in so many other Hermione-Draco ships. I really like you other fic with Lia and Callie so please keep updating! Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks mucho, Katie! I agree, it was nice to write him like this, hehe. I will keep updating Lia and Callie's story. Next chapter should be next week. Thanks again!
