This really gave me a giggle. I don't know why but I think Scorpius would give Lily a run for her money. Greggy sounded a little boring:D I always think of Scorpius as being rather fit and handsome.
I loved it, especially James' suggestion of a duel.
Author's Response: Thank you. I had fun writing it :D
It was so funny! I really liked the ending, it had so many possibilities!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I have actually written a chaptered fic called High, which whilst it's not directly related to this story, it does feature Scorpius and Lily :) ~Carole~
Wow I loved it !! I hardly ever read Next-Gen and I really never read Lily/ Scorpius but WOW this was amazing. Well done !!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. This really was just a bit of a taster to a much longer story of mine called High which is Scorpius/Lily. Glad you liked the story and thank you for reviewing ~Carole~
Really enjoyable. (actually the first word I thought of was highly enjoyable, but I thought that that would be too much of a pun on your other Scorpius/Lily story, which I think I will now have to read!)
Loved the prank!
Author's Response: OOOH, I hope you do read High. I loved writing that story so much - hee hee. thank you for reading this and reviewing. It is much appreciated. ~Carole~
Lily and Scorpius! Oh, how the tides have turned! Brilliant! Nice job.
Author's Response: Thank you. If you like this pairing, then you might like High which is my chaptered fic about them. ~Carole~
nice im excited for the next one :)
Author's Response: Oh, um, this is definitely a oneshot, but I do have a story called High which is all about Lily and a certain Seeker on the Slytherin team. Thank you very much for reading and reviewing. It is much appreciated. ~Carole~
I know this was written partially because you ship these two, but I still just can't get behind it. Nonetheless, it was clever, well written, and funny. I agree that Lily's character should reflect her namesake, and I think you did a great job with that. Good little story!
Author's Response: We don't know anything about the Next Gen kids save for their names, so there is absolutely no reason why Scorpius and Lily shouldn't become a couple - they're not their parents after all. The reason I ship them is because I found other stories to base around them - namely the reactions of their parents,Quidditch and Lily having two older brothers. Scorpius/Rose has become hackneyed in my opinion whereas this ship interests me. Mind you, I have been known to ship Scorpius/Hugo - I have no absolutes.
I'm glad you liked the story - it wasn't really about the ship, after all, but about Lily getting her own back on her brother. Thank you. ~Carole~
This is what I call sweet revenge with a cherry on top. :) Loved the tie-in with High
Author's Response: Thank you. It wasn't supposed to be a prequel, but it works in a way. I couldn;t resist putting Scorpius in at the end. ~Carole~
I absolutely loved that story! It really brightened my day! i am a huge fan of your work, and this did not dissuade me. I also enjoyed all the "High" tie-ins. LOVED it! Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the story. It started as a bit of fun, and then turned into a prequel for High- LOL. Anyway, I'm in the middle of chapter 11 so I'd better get cracking. ~Carole~
Loved this story! I love how you portrayed James, what he did was like something Ron would do. Was he actually saying something when his face puffed up?
Usually I don't like pairings with a Malfoy in them (unless it's Lucius/Narcissa - it's less weird), but Lily/Scorpius is so cute! I can just imagine it!
Author's Response: James was trying to say 'What have you given me, Lily?" at first. and then he got very gummed up and couldn;t say anything remotely intelligible. I practiced by eating an apple as I spoke - ha ha. Thanks for the review, I like Lily/.Scorpius., they appear in one of my main stories, High, if you';re interested. ~Carole~
P.S. I also wanted to add -- thanks for this.
"James had been right about him. Anyone who could be put off asking her out by a stupid remark from her brother wasn’t boyfriend material. Obviously, Greg only wanted a well-behaved, limpet of a girlfriend.
“Genetically it could never work,” she sighed, somewhat dramatically. “Two sets of grandparents have seen to that.”"
I sort of needed that.
Author's Response: Limpet girls are irritating.
Hahahaha, brilliant, Carole! Thanks so much for this.
The way you used sibling rivalry in this makes me giggle quite a lot. I can just imagine James being all glee-ful that he deterred Lily from dating Greg, and when he discovers Scorpius... ;).
And of course, I really like the High tie-ins. The apple, and the hat.... Very well done.
Thanks for the birthday present, Carole! I really, truly appreciate it.
Author's Response: The hat is a tie-in with Natalie's picture, really. Knitted by Molly of course. Glad you liked your birthday presnt. ~Carole~
Loved this story, Carole. You pulled off the typical sibling rivalry story but with something that made it quite different. I was surprised when I saw "Greg Cadwallader" instead of "Scorpius Malfoy" in the summary lol so I can't say I was really surprised when she ended up deciding that Greg wasn't for her. But it was a lovely way to end the story, because you didn't follow the cliche of 'she gets the guy' kind of thing.
I loved the James/Lily story... very creative and in character and also very fitting to this story.
I also enjoyed the connections to "High" (you really couldn't resist throwing Scorpius in there, could you?), and I think what was amazing about this was that your writing was so similar to in "High", that it really could have been another chapter of that.
Author's Response: Hey, Katrina, thank you for the review. This ended up as a sort of High prequel, I guess. And the nods to my Lily were always present (apple loving). The green beret, btw, is a Natalie inspiration because she drew Lily with a hat knitted by her grandma/ randomness. Thanks again and glad you liked the story. ~Carole~
LOL!! Lily / Scorpious.. A Match made in Draco's personal hell, but mean for every Dramione shipper's heaven! ^^ I loved the apple winks in this fic. Much reminded me of another adorably paired story!
Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, I deliberately linked it to High - an indulgence but I can't see Lilyu with anyone else now. ~Carole~
Carole! You sneaky little thing. Apples? Scorpius? Ending on a HIGH? You're a genius, if I'm reading this right. And if I'm not, it's still an adorable little story about the Potter siblings. James is an utter prat, but Lily's revenge was perfect. Nice twist with Greg not being impressed! But really, the nods to your prolific oeuvre are the best, lol. Great story - and happy birthday to Olivia! ~Gina :)
Author's Response: Thank you, Gina. Yes it's connected to High - hee hee. i can't not write Lily without Scorpius appearing somewhere, it seems. The green knitted beret is a nod to Nataili's picture she drew in Dean's Corner. It's how I picture her now. ~Carole~
Loved it again : Lily fights back! You don't see many of them - but you write them all! Loved this one, loved Not in the Cards - keep writing! (Although I think Lily's running out of brothers - maybe you could try a cousin next!)
Author's Response: Thank you. I didn't actually write Not In The Cards, but I know the fic you mean. This was written for one of the authors, though. Glad you enjoyed this. ~Carole~
really good :) i enjoyed it
Author's Response: Thank you. It was a bit silly, but I had fun with it. ~Carole~
Oh gosh! This is funny. Hilarious ending. Poor Lily :(. Despite all her efforts she didn't get Greg. At least she pulled of a revenge :)
Author's Response: She did see that Greg was a prat, though ... and there's a little glimmer of attraction for a certain Slytherin at the end. I think Lily's fine. Thank you for the review ~Carole~
