Evans-lover may have been appropriate.........

Author's Response: Ahh, but if you were Harry, and it was a guy who was in love with your mom..... it would just be 'ewwwwww'. Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed reading this.

Not quite the voice I imagined in Harry's head, but that's where artistic interpretation takes over, no?

It was quite well written, and I really enjoyed what you came up with for the actual epitaph. I can't wait to read the others.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I read in a review response of yours that you're open to suggestions for more. What about Luna?maybe her writing one or someone for her? She's always been such and interesting character to me. Just a thought. Another idea is Crabbe, after DH I've often wondered about what Crabbe and Goyles relationship with each other was like.

These stories of yours are amazing and I feel myself getting attached. I really hope you continue writing them, and if you need more ideas to do so, let me know! They are AMAZING

Author's Response: Yes, I am always open to suggestions, especially with this epitaph series. I've never written anything about Luna before - she's always seemed like one of the most difficult characters to get right, because she's so off in her own little world, but I will take a good look at the war-deaths, and see if there's anyone that Luna could write for. Crabbe, however, is a very possible, and doable idea, although it will probably take a while to work out the kinks of their relationship so it doesn't read as slash. I'm really glad that you like my fics, if you look on my profile there's a big, long list of all the fics I am currently working on, it shows fourteen that I've at least worked on enough to be sure I won't abandon them, although there are several more that are not listed, as they've not come together enough for me to be sure that they will actually get finished and get posted. If you have any more character ideas for the epitaph series, just hit the contact button on my profile and send them along, it's always great to know that there's at least ONE person who'll read it. Thank you for all of the reviews :)

Is writing epitaphs your occupation? Because you seem to always know the perfect thing to say! You have a wonderful gift for writing.

Author's Response: No, writing epitaphs is not my occupation, the reason they work is because I seem to end up re-reading at least half of the books to write the three word epitaph. Thank you for the review, I'm glad you liked reading this :)

Your adventure into the 'depths' of Harry's mind was brilliant. You write the way a young adult such as him must think!
The epitaph, Snape's chuckling from above... or perhaps underneath...

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked this enough to review - writing as a young adult wasn't difficult (I am one) so I can't accept praise for that. As for the epitaph, I'm glad you think Snape would have liked it. I sat in front of my computer screen for about an hour trying to work out what would be appropriate. Thanks for the review again :)

That is quite lovely. The Bastard poem made me laugh though.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. I do, however, have to point out that the poem is not mine, and was taken from a website I found of 'funny epitaphs', although I did find it quite sad that it was actually written on somebody's grave. Thanks for the review :)

Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you! I'm really nice in real life I swear. I did read Harry's epitaph I was just too lazy to review so sorry about that! I forgot to say in my other review that I love the fact that I don't know what side of the Atlantic you're on! Sometimes it's too obvious the writer is American and that they're trying to be British. I'd love to see an Irish author so if you know one be sure to pass their name onto me! Sorry I get distracted easily. On to what I meant to say; I would love to see an epitaph for Mr Fred Weasley. Or one for Bellatrix from her estranged sister? And then there's always the complex character that is Lucius Malfoy. I don't know there's a reason I'm not writing the stories! Like I said before, keep 'em coming!

Author's Response: I believe you, I'm just easily scared, tehe (seriously, me and horror films don't get on =/) Don't worry, I'm glad you liked the Harry one too. For the record, I'm a Brit writer - specifically English. I don't think I know any Irish writers (although I am half-Irish, I've never been to ze 'Emerald Isle', and I can do a mean Dublin accent). I have to admit that after reading your review, Fred and George's names did pop into my head more than once, though I hadn't considered Bellatrix or Lucius. I'm absolutely loving the idea of Bellatrix, so something might get written there, although possibly by Rodolphus. And FYI, you're not writing them cause you're reading them - I like to write what people will like (hopefully!) Anyways, much thanks for the review (again) :D

I loved the actual epitaph. I thought it was perfectly apt. Good job. I wouldn't be able to think of that. 'Feared and Revered' - nice!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the ending of the epitaph, it took a while for me to come up with something suitable, but in the end I guess it worked itself out. Much thanks for the review, and btw 'Feared and Revered' was very very very very very nearly the end epitaph!

Well after that end note, I just have to review... and give you some carrots? lol.

I do enjoy your "Epitaph" fics (I'm pretty sure I've reviewed HJP, if I haven't, I've definitely read it). I think it's just such a creative idea, and well done for coming up with something great in the end, because I think I would be stumped.

I'm glad that Harry couldn't bring himself to like Severus, because I don't think he could be IC and do that. I think after learning what Snape did, he learns to respect him (although I never knew quite why he named his son after him...), although it doesn't take away how cruel Snape was to Harry. I know a few other reviewers have had queries about you saying "Hermione actually liked him. She respected him.", but I think that's valid, because from Harry's POV it probably seemed like that.

Sometimes your writing seemed a little... colloquial, I suppose. I know you're writing inside Harry's head, but lines like "Yay for Muggle graves. Yay for..." just didn't sit right with me. They didn't seem really Harry either. I wouldn't write "‘cause" either, I'd write "because" - usually you stick to colloquialisms just in dialogue... but it's no big deal.

I loved the actual epitaph, and some of the others made me laugh. I liked the fact that the Malfoys actually cared, but Severus being Draco's godfather? I don't know... I suppose it's possible, but I can't imagine that Severus had that good a reputation with Voldemort when Draco was born - he was only a few years out of school, and Lucius was four years older...

Anyway, I did really like this story, although maybe not as much as HJP.

Author's Response: Yes, the carrots confused me too, however I'll just take it as Fred reincarnated :). I'm really glad you enjoyed this fic, and the Harry one too. I do have to tell you though, I absolutely love you for your comment about Hermione - the arguments are fun but it's always nice to have someone on your side. I completely get your point about Harry's colloquialisms, they don't quite work with the Harry that we see throughout canon. However, I'd like to point out that JK really doesn't explore Harry post-war. I can see him feeling a little more dark - even if only just for a little while. Nobody goes through war without being affected. Ah well, onto Severus. I see your point that Severus may not have had such a good reputation with Voldemort, however, if Severus had joined up as soon as he left school - in the summer of 1978, Draco wasn't born until summer 1980. Severus would have been a Death Eater for two years, long enough to gain a reputation. If you choose not to believe this, then think that perhaps Lucius is as perceptive as he thinks himself to be. Severus is a powerful wizard, and that much would have been obvious to Lucius, so why should he not bind his son, and his family to such a powerful wizard, who would likely then be more inclined to do things for them. Overall, I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the review!

Yay, I'm a carrot!

Author's Response: Wow! I never knew that my fic writing was powerful enough to turn readers into root vegetables! Perhaps I should put up a warning? Also, if I were to eat a certain root vegetable that had a brain and a personality and (possibly) magical talents, would I get super night vision? Not that I would ever, ever eat any sentient root vegetables.... unless they were tasty.... You're not tasty, are you?

I really liked your story.

It was nice at the beginning to think of all the times that Snape was actually being the good guy, but nobody apart from Dumbledore knew!
I also like the struggle that Harry goes through on what to write as he did hate him at school.
Although I'm not sure Hermione would feel that strongly about him? She would probably just understand his actions...but hey thats just my opinion.

Great story

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed reading my fic enough to review it. In my opinion Hermione doesn't like him, she respects him. But if you were Harry, a seventeen year old boy, just gone through a harrowing experience of war, would you or would you not be predisposed to hope for more positive reactions, especially in relation to the dead? Hermione has always defended Severus to Ron and Harry, and doesn't actually say anything bad about him. A teenage boy's usual reaction to indifference? A childhood taunt of 'you like him!'... but hey, that's just my opinion :P

I loved it! Well done! It was real funny and not too sad which is always good. And it was really "Harry". Please keep the epitaphs coming!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review but AUGH! you're scary! Keep them coming? Currently, I only have one more Epitaph fic planned - Tom Marvolo Riddle. (There's the Harry James Potter one on here too, if you haven't read that.) If you have any suggestions as to whose Epitaph you'd like to see written, feel free to tell me. Write another review, or email me (the address is on my author bio). I promise I'll think real hard about anything you come up with :) I'm glad I managed to amuse you (ha ha ha, I now control your emotions) and that you liked it.

Ooh, nice one!
At the beginning, with the memories of Snape's good deeds during Harry's years, I thought it was gonna be a bit too sentimental, therefore I was really glad you made Harry think that the Malfoys actually cared (in contrast to him). Harry DID hate Snape. Snape WAS very unlikeable (which is why I'm a bit skeptical to Hermione liking him... He was rather awful to her, wasn't he?). Also, in my mind, Snape wouldn't have been Draco's godfather. I sort of see Lucius as thinking of Snape as "beneath him". But that's just my interpretation, I don't think there's any canon evidence for that so just ignore me :)

Anyway, this carried a good sense of humour throughout, which made it feel very alive (and very "Harry"). My favourite line was probably: "Evans-Lover? No. Ew. That would just be too gross." That made me chuckle.

Sorry if I sound critical, I actually really, really liked this. And I think Narcissa's right; he would have like his Epitaph. Good work!

Author's Response: Firstly, let me thank you for the review - I hadn't realized it had already been posted, hence screamed like a little girl at a real review! I'm glad you picked up on the fact that a canonical Harry just can't be positive about Severus. Throughout the books he ignores evidence that Severus is a good guy, preferring to let his emotions rule his head. I'm glad for the criticism of Hermione's view of Severus, though I would ask you to prepare for my defense! In all of the books, Hermione is widely recognized as the only member of the trio to call the Potions Master 'Professor', in fact, she defends him on several occasions. I take this as Hermione's innate respect for people in positions of authority, and shows her (albeit limited) trust in the man. I can almost hear you screaming at me for my wording already 'But you said that Hermione liked Snape!'. Actually, I didn't say that. Harry said that. Harry is, after all, a teenage boy. And teenage boys tend to jump to conclusions. In my mind, he feels that to respect someone, you have to like them. After all - who does Harry dislike and respect? Nobody. Also, when looking through the books, I have noticed that Hermione is referred to as 'Miss Granger' by our esteemed Potions Master, a stark contrast to 'Potter' and 'Weasley'. Perhaps he had some underlying respect for her too? I have to admit though, I do agree with you that Lucius Malfoy would most likely think of Snape as beneath him. After all, he is a Pure-blood supremacist, and Snape is a half-blood. However, I choose to think that Snape may have been in high regards with Voldemort at the time of Draco's birth, and Lucius wished to lean on this reputation. I can't imagine Harry being straight-laced, so yes, it had to be a little bit funny. I'm glad I made you laugh, there's nothing better than knowing you can control people's emotions (Mua ha ha ha ha!). Don't sweat about it being critical - it's much more fun to have to defend myself than just to say 'Yay, thanks.'. I'm glad you agree with his Epitaph, it took me absolutely weeks to come up with the perfect words for him.
