Chapter: Epilogue

The epilogue made me cry more than I've ever cried at a fic before. Ever.

Elisabeth is so well developed, she's so human and flawed, and relatable to. Sirius' characterisation is perfect, he's selfish and arrogant, yet his goodness and true nature still manage to shine through.

This has become canon for me, Elisabeth makes Sirius a better person and it fits perfectly with everything we know about him. Perfect.

This has got to be my favourite chapter. I love how you set it out, I think it worked really well, and kind of got across the bittersweetness. The fact Elisabeth was with him for years, and kept waiting -- charting it with the dates just made it so clear what a big part of her life he was. Good job :) x

Yes I want an epilogue! I've kept up with this story for a long time and would be very sad without it. :'( It's been lovely.

i just finished reading this story as well as persephone, and i just wanted to say how amazing they both were. i was really blown away by the characterisations and relationship dynamics in both stories, as well as they degree of reality. i would absolutely love to read the epilogue to this story!!

Even i want an epilogue. I want to know what happens to Elisabeth, Persephone and Rickert. Elisabeth seems to be a strong character. Her strength lies in her ability to forgive Rickert. Persephone cannot do that.

Ever since I stumbled across your fanfic I've been waiting frantically for the ending (I didn't have to wait long, so thank you) I must say, it didn't disappoint. I love how much emotion you always manage to put into Sirius' and Elisabeth's interactions. I would like nothing more than you see the epilogue as well (the longer and more in-depth the better =])

AHHH I loved it! And I really want to know what happens to Elisabeth later! She is an awesome character and felt so real to me ... I think I might go read the story about her mum now, too! Great job!

Yay, another update!
I think Elisabeth is a great character. Her vulnerability and flaws are very real, and the way I see it, they allow the reader to develop a connection and/or attachment to her.
Another thing I love is how the characters in this fic are very memorable and stay in character.

Like mother like daughter. Both Persephone and Elisabeth have on -and-off relationships. Both tried to fix relationships between people who're close to them. Interesting parallels.
I liked this chapter. I like the way you described Elisabeth's nervousness before the encounter and the feeling of tension during it. I also like the way Persephone handled the situation; calmly without causing a scene. She's a good and bad role model for Elisabeth. Good because she manages to keep calm during times of difficulty; and bad because of the way she keeps moving in and out of relationships. It seems to have a very negative effect on Elisabeth as she seems to be seeking romantic love, like her mother, when she should be doing more useful things.
But what i like about the story is the way you're shaping Elisabeth and letting the influences around her seep into her character.
I'm looking forward to more.

I've read the latest chapter and I'm liking the way the story is turning out to be. I'm really looking forward to Persephone's encounter with Rickert and her reaction to his return.
I'm also starting to see glaring similarities between Elisabeth and her parents.
She has inherited Persephone's habit of saying 'excuse me'.
She seems to have Rickert's impulsiveness and some of his cunning.
I think she's a good mix of her parents.
I'm looking forward to more.
Update soon

even though elisabeth isn't the independent girl you usually read on this site it is wonderful to read how you truly stay true to her character. it really shows strength as a writer to be able to strip yourself from what she should do and write what she would do. great characterization. i'm excited to see what's coming up next for poor elisabeth.
