That's so sad.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes I agree, it is sad, but I hope you also enjoyed the story. ~Katrina
oh, that almost made me cry, and not a lot of fics do that. (especially when ron was holding jean for the first time, and of course, when she passed away.) i remember learning about SIDS in my child development class, but somehow it hits closer to home when you see it to happen to someone you know. (even though hermione isnt someone i dont personally know, yada yada yada.) you get what i mean though? the way you added to hermione's character, with dialouge and otherwise, was spot on. it was quite sad, but very beautiful at the same time. i loved it. :D
Author's Response: Wow!! Thanks for all the praise. I'm really pleased that you thought the way I added to Hermione's character was spot on, and especially that you liked the scene when Ron first held Jean, as I sometimes have issues writing Ron. I've never known anyone whose had anything to do with SIDS either, but I think it's just such a terribly sad thing to happen to people and I was really inspired by this song to write it. So anyway... I don't know if I've ever had such a glowing review, you've really made my day!! Thanks.
I think I'm crying!! Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing and forthe positive comments!
Aww, that was so sad! It brought tears to my eyes! And I always thought that Hermione had had another baby--I'd always wondered why Harry and Ginny had three and Hermione and Ron only two. But in my story (it's more of a backstory, really, as it's Harry/Ginny) Hermione has a miscarriage. Both are awful, though. Thanks for writing. I really enjoyed this.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Soraya! Yes I had also wondered about Ron and Hermione having another baby... hence this story. Although I actually had the idea for the story before I picked which characters I would use, if that makes sense. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to review, and I'm glad you enjoyed it and it moved you!
Darling, brilliant writing as usual. So heartbreaking T^T
Author's Response: Thanks for the review!! It's great that you thought it was heartbreaking... because that was the point of the fic. And thanks for the compliment about my writing, I really appreciate it.
Wow! What caused you to write a story of R/H's 1st daughter's death? That was super random. It was still a good fic though, I even teared up while reading. lol Nice job! ;)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yeah I know it's quite random. I basically just wanted to use that song for a fic because I really love it and I've always thought that SIDS is really terrible, and that it must be hard for parents who have lost children. It took me a while to come up with the right characters to write this story around... and Ron and Hermione really seemed to fit. It's particularly sad for them, because they're trying to build a new life in the aftermath of the war, and then that is broken as well. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it and it's great that you found it emotional. Thanks for reviewing!
That fic was unlike any other fic I have ever read. You always read about Rose being Hermione and Ron's first born.
I love the song, and it fit really well with the story. You incorporated it nicely.
Hermione's thoughts were completely understandable and realistic, and the only part that wasn't very realistic was the fact that Ron and Hermione have a child at the age of 21, but I understand you had to do that if you wanted to make it canon.
I would have loved to see other points of view of this story, you know, maybe give us a peek out how Ron was holding up?But of course, this was from her mother's thoughts to her daughter, again, understandable.
All in all, great job! Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you thought I incorporated the song well, because I've never written a songfic before, so I wasn't sure if I did it that well. I know it seems unlikely that they would have a child at that age... my reason is that Jean was an accident (which is why Hermione isn't really sure what to think when she finds out). But yes, preferably they would have been a bit older, but I didn't want to leave it any longer because I thought it would be unlikely that they would go on and have another child quite soon after their first died... so there had to be a reasonable space between Jean's death and Rose's birth. I did think about including Ron's point of view more, but I didn't for a few reasons. The first is that I find it very difficult to write his character, and the second that I wanted it to be very personal between Hermione and the reader (and Jean, too). Maybe at some point I'll write another story about this event or around the same time and include some other perspectives, I'm not sure. Anyway, thanks for the review!!!
