Chapter: Chapter 1

My review was FROM THE HEART! (I decided to yell just in case the whirring in your brain was too loud lol.) I'm not smart enough to craft double meaings into my reviews, so you're safe reading them at face value.

You should never doubt you're writing skill when someone compliments it, as it is excellent. Even when I had my problems with the other story, it was about what happened in the story, not with the writing...and I think you already knew that. Besides, I don't let one story by an author affect my perception of another story, so my reviews aren't usually related between stories. And I've never had any trouble giving credit to people who deserve it!

Anyway, congrats on your award!

Author's Response: Heart-felt compliments! Is this where our sparring ends? I am saddened, but all good things eventually come to an end. Thank you for the review once again and for your generosity of spirit! After my callous responses, I'd have expected you to be mailing me Bubotuber pus. It's a wonderful life indeed. ;)

P.S. Have you read the other QSQ winners? (Not mine, mind!) They are really good. I think you are already aware of Weasley Mom/Lori's writing, though. You might enjoy the others too. :)

(I took your advice!) I can see why this won an award; it's so beautifully written. I think an emotional story like this one is really enhanced by the minimal lets the reader "read" the person's emotions instead of what the person is saying.

It's obviously a sad story, with both characters suffering a loss and using a physical relationship to mask the hurt they are feelinf. But when the novelty wears off, there is nothing left. Mrs. Cattermole was right to end it--it's clear that Ron wasn't mature enough to do so.

At least Ron still has the opportunity to get what he really wants...Mrs. Cattermole won't get that chance. Sad!

Author's Response: *Sigh*

You play beautiful mind-games. I am in a fix, you see! Should I take these compliments as coming from your heart, or should I frown and twiddle my thumbs to try and figure out (with my brain whirring loudly in the background) that you have decided that I'm a lost cause who cannot take any criticism and must therefore be force-fed praises until I am cloyed by them?

If it is the latter, thank you! It's still nice to know you took my advice and didn't jump on Ron :D

If it is the former, do forgive my suspicious nature. It has helped me survive this big bad world so far, and I can't not listen to it. Thank you for the review, and for reading!

Oh my, this was incredibly heavy and heart-wrenching stuff but i thoroughly enjoyed it none the less! You really portrayed the loss she felt for reg beautifully and as for ron...i'm glad he found his way back to hermione. (although i will say there is nothing wrong with being a cougar!) Very well done and congrats on the QSQ award!

Author's Response: Yes, there is nothing wrong with being a cougar. ;) Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Natalie, this is so beautiful. You've made me cry. What a sop eh? But honestly, you really excelled here. It's a non-canon pairing but I love how you manage (like in a lot of your fics especially that gorgeous Harmony XD) to keep it canon in the end. I think you really caught that grief-stricken longing so well. It seeps into every moment, every sentence. That last paragraph in particular is so powerful and packed full of unspoken emotion. Gahhhhh I'm just rambling here but this has left me feeling so moved. I'm sorry for being inarticulate. Anyway, this is a beautiful and poignant fic. I absolutely adore it.

Author's Response: Julia!

I was so thrilled to see you had reviewed it! It was tricky writing this, and the severe lack of response from fanfic-readers in general was beginning to worry me a bit. But I am so happy it worked for you guys. : ) And – it was strangely amazing to know that it had made you cry. I had meant it to be soppy. I just hope it was as visual as I intended it to be.

Again, thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

Nooooo, poor Maty. Poor Ron. Why can't she keep the younger man? Hermione can have ... um McLaggan.

Bittersweet story, Natalie. I thought it was just going to be a bit smutty and funny, but it was really rather poignant.

Oh Merlin, the Chudley Canons boxers were very funny, though - ha ha. The CC reminded me of the Chanel logo ... was that intentional?

Lovely, but I'm a bit sad now. Hermione doesn't deserve him, and Mary needs a happy ending (Dean ... perhaps?) ~Carole~

P.S. I've got a feeling I'm supposed to be writing one of these movie canon things - eeeep.

Author's Response: Mary can't have Ron because Lori would kill me, or worse, take away my canon card. D: The double C's are actually canon - the Cannon have that on their logo, I think.

Thanks for reading! :D I'm super glad you liked it.

Yes, I liked it! It is EXCELLENT! And thank you, thank you, thank you! I've never been in a story swap, and no one's ever written me a gift story before!

Runs around room in circles feeling all chuffed!

Author's Response: :D :D :D I really had to write the "succumbtion".
