Author's Response: Thanks again! I'm glad you liked it. I have no plans to stop writing. ~Gina :)
WONDERFUL STORY!you should write more of the sort
Author's Response: Thank you! I've written quite a bit of James/Lily if you are interested. I really appreciate the review for this one and am glad you enjoyed it! ~Gina :)
Fabian's dented watch=brilliance, as was this story
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so happy when people pick up on those little details, lol. Thanks for reading, and thank you so much for the review!! ~Gina :)
This was a great story :) very sweet, and I love your detail.... especially the part about Gideon's watch getting dented.... we know who inherited that watch, don't we? ;) My eyebrows shot up when I read that part, and I couldn't help but shoot a nod of approval your way. Happy Holidays!
Author's Response: YAY! Someone got the reference to the watch! It was, however, Fabian's watch. ;) I'm so glad you picked up on that. I love it when I can insert a little detail like that. Thanks so much for reading this story. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate the review! ~Gina :)
So cute, loved it!! But the date at the top says Dec. 31st, I thought the story was set Christmas Eve. But still it was a great story. I love your James and Lily. Good job! (:
Author's Response: Hi! Thank you for pointing that out, that's the second time that has happened. I originally set it on New Year's Eve, which was why the date was Dec. 31st. I changed it to fit the prompt better. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for reading this story and for the lovely review - I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)
GinGin!
The break-up fic of doom is finally here. EGADS!
Though - phew - I love you for getting them back together in the end. :)
This fic was a real treat. It had less romance than your other J/L fics, but it is a healthy mix of that and the fear and danger that they were facing for real during those times. I loved your characterisation of everybody, but James and Lily especially. (And my favourite is the embarrassing moment with the snarky Healer Price.)
Seriously, I feel like I got an early Christmas gift reading this. Please don't stop writing!
~Natalie
Author's Response: Natalie! This is NOT the break-up fic of doom, my dear. I did start that, but it starts on the train back home after Lily has dumped James. And as you know, I planned out a whole chaptered fic for that. This was not what I had sketched out for Christmas, but I might still work it in somehow, if I ever decide to take on another J/L chaptered fic. Anyway - thank you so much for coming by to read this one. I'm really glad you liked it. *hugs* ~Gina :)
aww that was sweet. well written and i liked how you let the question unanswered though im sure lily would have said yes :D
Author's Response: Maybe, maybe not. ;) I have some ideas about that, hee hee. Thanks so much for reading this story! I'm glad you liked it and really appreciate the lovely review! ~Gina :)
This is SO CUTE!!!!!! Yikes, normally I don't even bother reading James/Lily, but I'm so glad I read this - it was just so cute and real. James was so earnest it actually managed to show some of his redeeming traits, which I know he must have had.
And it was really just SO CUTE! :D
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you stopped to read a J/L - they're not all bad. ;) I really appreciate you reading this and am glad you found something redeeming in one of my favorite characters. Thanks for the lovely review! ~Gina :)
well, of course!
I have to hand it to you, Gina, I am NOT a James/Lily shipper, and this is the FIRST fic I have ever read that gave me any idea at all why Lily should bother with James.
And of course I loved your Moody moments there...
Excellent, really. Thank you! I fell like I've had an early Christmas present...
Author's Response: Oh Thea, thank you so much! That is high praise indeed coming from a skeptic like you. ;) I'm glad you liked the Moody moments. I had a bit of an issue when I originally took out that chunk of his nose, only to find that it didn't happen for another few years, according to canon. So I gave him his hand injury instead, poor guy. Thank you so much for reading this, I really appreciate it!! Happy Christmas! ~Gina :)
That was so lovely! It's strange, I don't think I've ever read a story where James and Lily don't get married right out of Hogwarts. I think it worked really well and was definitely believable. Great story, it was sweet and wonderful! Keep it up :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm sort of fascinated by the idea of James and Lily breaking up and getting back together later. I'm contemplating a chaptered fic about it. This was a fun way to explore that idea, and I'm glad it was believable! And I'm glad you enjoyed it - thank you so much for reading it and for the wonderful review! ~Gina :)
YES!
That's the answer. Aww, Gina, this is so perfect, that I bow to you. Just wonderful characterisation of my OTP (or one of them) and a thumping good story line. I really like the fact that you broke them up, and there's this uncertainty at the end.
Darn it! You're good ... and I think this is the winner.
~Carole~
Author's Response: Hi Carole! Ha! I'm so glad this worked out better than my other one, LOL! Which is fixed, by the way, thank you. :) I told you I was going to break them up. Really, I had quite a different idea for Christmas, but that's for the chaptered fic floating around the plot bunny garden of my brain and this was for a specific prompt. I suppose I could still use this and move that other idea to their New Year's date, heh heh. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)
