i noticed you put an element from the movie into this chapter with quirrels fear to shake harrys hand and his turbin... its a good inclusion cause it adds to harrys personallity and how he enjoyed torturing him
Author's Response: In all honestly, I didn't realise that the whole shaking hands issue was in the film - I just reread that chapter, and found it a little odd that everybody shook his hand, and then Quirrell didn't. And, let's face it, if you were an eleven year old boy, you'd probably enjoy pushing people's limits. I do, and I'm (clearly) much more mature than an eleven year old Harry!
this story is awesome... i look foward to seeing how it ends... i hope you do all the books in the series with a "evil harry" twist
Author's Response: The eventual plan is to work through all of the books, with a possible eighth, but as of yet, I've not even written up to Christmas of Harry's first year, due to RL issues, and other commitments, however the next chapter should (hopefully) be posted within the next week or so. Wow.... this was really intense. I LOVED the scenes with the Malfoys, thought they wre really in character.The moments where Harry will say the same thing he oes in canon, but with totally differet meanings ("e.g. "Harry didn't look it, but he was fast") are seriously chilling.
Basically, I feel the same way about this as I do about really good angst- I love it, but I'm so glad it's not true.
Author's Response: I'm very glad you enjoyed this, I have to admit that the Malfoy family were my favourite part to write, and they will be returning later in the story. As for the moments that are similar to canon, I will say this; When I first started writing this fanfic, it was with the intention of keeping the Potterverse as close to canon as I could with the only changed variable being a more Slytherin Harry, so the story moves away from canon dependent on Slytherin!Harry's reactions to the world. As for the 'Angst' and the 'chilling' comments, don't worry. As Harry moves onto Hogwarts things get somewhat easier for him, and much less Dark, although I must admit that may not mean much as I am currently 13 chapters in, and still haven't reached Christmas of Harry's first year! Thank you very much for the review, please keep reading as more chapters get posted.

This story is very good
I see a much better representation of how an abused child would react in Harry's situation than was displayed in cannon. I am studying sociology at school and I know that there is not a shred of believability behind how cannon Harry acted after the abuse he suffered at the Dursleys.

I personally hope this story does not follow the cliché of Harry becoming best friends with Draco but rather you chose for Harry to have no friends or a more secondary character like Theo Nott as his best friend.

Author's Response: I'm glad you like how my Harry behaves, I made him a bit more anti-social and etc. as in my fic he's abused to a much higher degree than is ever mentioned in Canon. I'm sorry to tell you that I do follow the cliché, but that's partly because I can't see the Slytherins not accepting Harry, if only because of his fame, let alone the fact that he's a powerful wizard. I do, however, have Harry close friends with Blaise Zabini, and the Slytherins seem to stick together more than the Gryffindors, so other characters, such as Theodore Nott will become enrolled in some parts of Harry's adventures. The next chapter will go up pretty much as soon as my beta gets it back to me, which should hopefully be soon. Much thanks for reviewing :)
Just finished all your three chapters and I must say; it really looks like quite a good story. Harry with a little more vengeful twist is something I had never really read before and your AU portrayal of the Dursleys is also very interesting to read.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed reading it :) Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that I'm not the first to utilise a vengeful Harry, a lot of Slytherin!Harry stories have the same sort of idea too :).
