Author's Response: I think for my Slytherin!Harry, he does want to know his family, but he tends to focus on those things that it is possible for him to achieve. When he grows a little bit more, and learns more things that magic can give to him, and more importantly for Harry, show him, you will get to see Harry's feelings towards his parents, and to their memories. Finally, a new chapter! Wonderful and captivating as always, can't wait for the next one. It's really great how you have an interesting twist to all the important events while at the same time weaving in your own plot, it makes the story very exciting.
Author's Response: Sorry about the delays in getting new chapters up, but it has been very important to me to get every chapter of this beta'd, and to make sure that they're all as perfect as I can write them. The next chapter has already been submitted, so will hopefully appear online in the next few days. I have to admit that most of the twists aren't extensively planned - my idea and plan for this fic was a believable Slytherin!Harry long-fic, and everything else stems from that. Obviously, as Harry is a Slytherin, he does things in a slightly different matter, so his own sub-plots sneak in. I'm glad you're enjoying this story so far, and thank you for the review!

I like it! I just read all ten chapters and at first I was like no way! But then as I read it and met more characters I could totally see this playing out! Well done!!! I can't wait for more!!

I can't wait until the next chapters!!! This is brillant and I fancy it more than the original version...bizarre right? Your French is pretty good; without many errors, although I have never seen nor heard "j'ont"....Perhaps it is slang? Or an accidental mistake of conjugation avoir? Either way, no worries! I can't wait to read more!!!

Yes, that is a slightly bizarre thought, although I can't say that I'm not deliriously happy to hear it said! As to my French, it is the result of the memories of a GCSE in French, an online translator, and a friend who did GCSE French as well. As ' j'ont ' is pointed out, I begin to assume that is an incorrect conjugation of avoir - if you have any knowledge of French, or how to correct it, please, I beg your help! I'm glad you've enjoyed this so far!

Finally! Been waiting a while for this chapter. I love how Snape seems very in-character, and I have nothing else to say than that this was great. Classes are starting up and things are happening! Wee. Cant wait for the next chapter, hope it will be up soon.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review, I'm glad you like this fic so far. It took a while, and a lot of referring back to the books to get Snape sounding Snape-ish. Believe it or not, the first time I started writing Snape's parts, he came across too harsh, then too soft. After Luna Lovegood, I think he's the hardest character to write. The next chapter will be posted as soon as I get it back from my beta - sorry I can't be a little more specific!

Author's Response: Harry Potter wouldn't be Harry Potter without the twists. I couldn't write a Slytherin Harry without a lot of Severus, he's my favourite character and my namesake on here (I'm guessing he's yours too?). Thank you for the review, I'm glad you liked it!

I really love how all the Slytherins are watching out for each other! Combined with your wonderful descriptions of the common room it makes my Slytherin pride bubble up in my chest. I can't wait to read about the dormitories as well. It's true that Slytherin is the least liked house, so it only makes sense that they need to protect each other. I also think you did the storting really well, and I always thought Hermione should've been in Ravenclaw. Looking forward to see how their relationship to her will be as well, and hope there will be new chapter up soon!

If you're wanting dormitory descriptions, you're in luck, the start of Chapter Nine contains one - I even went so far as to draw it out so that I remember who sleeps where! The issue of Hermione should turn up in the next few chapters as well, so keep your eyes open! Chapter: Chapter 7 - Consequences
This Harry is so mean! But i kind of understand him though (because of all the abuse). And so far, I like him better than the I'm-so-heroic-and-nobody-understands-me type. I just can't quite imagine Ron hitting a stranger like that, but he does have an awful temper. Anyway, this is an interesting fic! I've often wondered how things would have turned out if Harry hadn't turned Draco down in first year, and I like that you've turned the story backwards, with Harry and Draco eating sweets and Ron coming to offer his friendship instead. Over all, I like it! Hope the next part will be up soon.
Author's Response: Harry isn't really supposed to be mean here, he just doesn't know how to trust people... everybody he's ever known so far has let him down, and as you said that's mostly because of all of the abuse. I admit, I have made it worse that it is portrayed in canon, as I don't see the Dursley's taking half-measures. This story is written up to Chapter 12, Chapters 9 through 12 are with my beta, and Chapter 8 is on its way to being validated on this site, due to the most pedantic mod I've seen so far.
