Cute idea. I thought the way you portrayed Ginny in the beginning was spot on and well done. Not a huge fan of Harry being excluded from the delivery room - he should have been there not some Death Eater's wife and a woman who makes Ginny uncomfortable.
Author's Response: Hmm, I wouldn't put it like that. I know a lot of guys that wouldn't want to be there while their wife's having a C-section. But thank you for the review. :)
Which month is this set in? I liked it by the way, exactly how I think James looks like! :-D
Author's Response: Hi. Thanks for another review (though I am wondering why you left three). Um, I'm not entirely sure which month this is set in -- this story is one of my older ones, so I can't really be bothered to check. I don't think I specified, to be honest. May I suggest (rather shamelessly, I'll admit) taking a look at my author page if you liked this story? Like I said, this one is from back in the days, so any reviews for my newer works would be greatly appreciated. But only if you have the time :) Thanks again for the review. ~Soraya~
Loved it! Exactly how i think James looks like. :)
Author's Response: Thank you for your review ;)
Author's Response: Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :)
I love this..well done.
Author's Response: Thank you :)
"I'm glad you got me pregnant," glad she said it. They always the strangest things when they're in labor.
Author's Response: Most people say strange things when they are in labour. Some women even go so far as to break their hubbies' wrists.
Cute story! I really liked it. :)
Author's Response: Thank you for your review :)
Awesome! Write some more!!!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I think I've completely finished writing Harry/Ginny. Having said that, they do feature rather briefly in my short chaptered story, Blood and Roses. Perhaps you might like to read that?
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you liked it :)
Awesome story, but there should be less swearing. Ginny and Harry don't use words like that.
Author's Response: I'm glad you thought it was awesome. However, I do disagree with you about the swearing -- Harry swears plenty of times in the books. It's just that JKR wrote "Harry swore" or "Harry employed some of Vernon's Dursley's choicest swearwords" or something like that. Being primarily a children's book, there were boundaries for JKR, and for that reason, she couldn't really include swearing. I must also remind you that there was a Strong Profanity warning and the rating was 3rd-5th years. Bear in mind that it was you who clicked on the story, knowing full well that someone was going to swear in it. For those reasons, I don't see why I can't include profanity, as long as I have the warning, and if some people knowingly read my story, it's hardly fair to complain about the language used. I'm happy that you liked it, and while I respect your opinion, I don't think you should be telling me this, given you knew there was going to be swearing. Also -- are you a mum? Ginny swore at Harry while she was going through labour, so I hope you understand that in this context, swearing is more than justifiable. Thank you for your review.
Awwwwww it made my heart ache!!!!!
You should start making a story out of what you've started cuz ur a really good writer! And I'm sure alot of people- including me!!!!- would want you to continue this into something bigger, more exciting, and if you make the story longer then it might be read by more, and more people!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm going through major writer's block at the moment, so maybe writing more Harry/Ginny fluff will make things easier. In the meantime, you might want to check out my other chaptered (and, I hope, more exciting) fics -- both are completed: Blood and Roses, which is a Scorose story, and Checkmate, which is James/Lily. Thank you for your review.
Very cute. Nice job. I want more!!
Author's Response: I have, recently, had this Harry/Ginny plot bunny, but I'm not sure. I'll have to see how things go. Glad you liked it and ta for reviewing.
Very well written, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As an aspiring writer myself, I just wanted to say that you have a lot of guts, and I absolutely admire you for that. Also, I thought this story was not only funny, but realistic and sweet as well.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't think I'm that gutsy, to be honest, but I'm really happy you thought it was funny and realistic and sweet. If you enjoy my work, maybe you might want to check out my longer chaptered fic, Checkmate? It's James/Lily, but not your typical James/Lily. Or, if you like Scorose, you might like Blood and Roses, which is a murder mystery. Have a good day and cheers for the lovely review!
Too much language. I would have given it a 4/5, but now it gets a 2.
Author's Response: Maybe you should get off the computer for a bit. It is clear your eyes need checking. There is a very, very good reason why there is a Strong Profanity warning on this story -- because there is (surprise, surprise) strong profanity in this story. I even had the grace to mention it in my summary. Besides which, Ginny swears ONCE in this story, at least strongly.
Have you ever given birth? I haven't, since I'm fifteen, but several people in my family have, and I've seen someone give birth too. I can tell you now that a woman is in so much pain the least she can do is swear. You've got to remember that this is a story, and for that reason, it will portray some RL things like childbirth. And Ginny -- as well as, in fact, all the Weasleys -- are perfectly entitled to swear as much as they like. I have put the warning there for a reason, even though the f word crops up ONCE. So I don't see why you have a problem with it, given that you know strong language is going to be there.
I have seen your reviews for another author, namely Equinox Chick, and I am disgusted by the immaturity of your reviews. They could be classed as "flames", frankly, and what is worse is the fact that Carole/Equinox Chick is one of my favourite authors on the site, as well as the most prolific author. Her work is always very good, so I suggest that in the future, if you don't have anything nice or constructive to say, don't say it. No one wants to read your one-liners without an ounce of constructive criticism and I am warning you now, if you flame me or any of my friends on this site again, I will be reporting you to the mods and you may have your account deleted. Watch what you say next time and just be grateful that I didn't respond to your review in the same manner that Ginny would -- with loads of f-bombs.
Awesomeness!!! Please write another one-shot about the same topic! A Different Kind of Magic 3!!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks. I'm glad you think it's awesome. I haven't visited Harry/Ginny for a long time. So I'm not entirely sure I want to write ADKOM three. But thanks anyway ~Soraya~
The best story! I think it deseves 5 stars
Author's Response: Aw, you really think so? That means so much. Personally, I think that this story is...okay, but I'm glad you liked it that much. My better work, however, is definitely Checkmate, which is a James/Lily chaptered. Read it if you want :) /shameless self-promotion And thanks for the review! ~Soraya~
How'd u know what phone I have? Lol anyway this is the second time I've read this. I should have been asleep hours ago, but who cares? Great job!
Author's Response: Haha...I didn't know what phone you have, but most people nowadays have BlackBerries, iPhones or...is it HTC? Something like that. They're not a patch on my good old Nokia, though :) And I'm glad you read this a second time -- I'm really flattered that you did. So thanks for the review, and for God's sake get some sleep ;) ~Soraya~
omg... this litterally made me have tears in my eyes
Author's Response: I'm sorry I made you cry. (Not really :P) But thank you for the review and I hope you enjoyed my story! ~Soraya~
i want to chuck flowers at u! u unbelivable talented bloke. i wove ur stroies and ur in my fave authors category also i love checkmate to
Author's Response: Erm. I'm not a bloke. I'm a girl, actually. It's in the name -- Soraya. Anyway, aside from that, thank you for the flowers and for thinking that I'm talented. Keeping reading/reviewing Checkmate -- the next chapter has been submitted. Thank you for your review. ~Soraya~
Loved it! A different kind of magic was the best fan fix I'd ever read, so I was thrilled to see the sequel. It was just as good as the first one!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm extremely flattered that you liked A Different Kind Of Magic that much. Maybe you might like to read my James/Lily story, Checkmate? I'd love it if you could review... ~Soraya~
