Chapter: The Mugglenet Murder

Hm, did you REALLY guess ol' Dumby was going to die? If so, WOW!

This is an interesting story; I've never read a fandom fanfic before! The way Ivy murdered Judy was very interesting indeed - hit on the temple with a Harry Potter book! Excellent story!~

Chapter: The Mugglenet Murder

I think it is so funny that you wrote this before HBP came out. Once I realized that, it made me appreciate the story even more. I also thought that the whole idea of the crime was very clever. Quite an enjoyable read, although there were a couple typos (sights instead of sites, that sort of thing, no big deal). Have a nice day! *D*

Author's Response: Hi. My name is Patches and you gave an awesome review to me for a story I wrote over a year ago, which you said you enjoyed. "The MuggleNet Murder". Right now I'm working on a multiple chapter new story that should take some time to finish (maybe through the rest of the summer). The story, once again, takes place in Real Life and involves Harry Potter fans. This time, the very worst thing imaginable happens to Harry Potter fandom. The only copy of the manuscript for the last book has been stolen! Now, fans of the Harry Potter world band together and hire Catherine O'Hara to find the stolen manuscript before a print deadline and save the day! Catherine uncovers a deadly conspiracy involving the Catholic Church and faces deadly perils of secret organizations and assassination plots coming from the Vatican itself. This time Catherine will have to enlist the help of MuggleNet moderators and other online Harry Potter sites to track down the evildoers and save the manuscript. But, like Catherine, I could use a little help. For starters I would actually like to use real moderators in the story. Preferably ones who actually live in London (or close to it) but I havenít been able to raise any. If you know of any who would love to participate, please let me know. Also I was looking for some RL reference on J K Rowling. I remember during an interview she gave on A&E during a two hour special she actually showed an old notebook, which held all the secrets of the last chapter of Harry Potter. I would like that particular notebook to be the focus of the story. Do you know what that notebook looks like, exactly (like what colour it is)? Iím trying to find a video of that two-hour special from A&E but I havenít had any luck. Not even on A&Eís website. Also, if you know of other websites with fans or moderators who would like to participate, please let me know. Hope to hear from you soon, Patches

This story is brilliant and very funny! I figured it out about half way through, but only as a true HP reader can. Thankfully book 6 wasn't spoiled for me, but I can image being that upset if it had been! I'm going into seclusion when book 7 comes out! As for Ivy, How stupid was she for going on the website before she got to read the book!

I didn't dissect this story from a find-the-mistakes perspective, so I'm afraid I won't be much help in that arena. It's too late at night to nit-pick! Anyway, I thought this was a fun idea and quite original. Nicely done!

I cliked on this one a little hesitant to read it, but it was something unlike you typical fanfic, as it wasn't involving the HP characters. Well, I have to say I was certainly amazed. Although I sincerely hope Dumbeldore doesn't have to die (although it might be just a fool's hope), I think the way you worked the whole thing out was brilliant. I haven't carefully examined the whole story, but as far as I can tell there are no loose ends to tie up or anything like that. I think my favorite bit, though, was that rune-ring thing, which indentified Judy's copy as her self-defense, not as the murder weapon. 10! Two big thumbs up.

Not bad...Not bad at all... In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it was really good! (And from me, that's saying something ;-)) Please, write another one like it! It's different from most on this site and I think thats what I like about it. Also, the fact that it's not actually about Harry Potter, but more about a Harry Potter fan, you know? Keep up the good work, and do it again sometime! I'm adding you to my fave authors list. Hope you don't mind...

I didn't read all of it, but it sounds good. I only read a little because it's about 1:00 in the morning. Night.
