Author's Response: "And yes, in answer to the question you asked yourself last night when you thought I was asleep. This is it. Our done deal." I'm not entirely sure how she phrased it, but it was something along the lines of "This is it, isn't it? A done deal..." When I was writing it, I imagined them lying together, and she thinks he's asleep, and she just murmurs it to herself. Of course, she didn't know he was awake, and therefore didn't realise he heard her, so he's just replying to her ponderings, by saying "And yes... this is it. Our done deal."

So sweet! You definitely did them justice =] They are one of my favourite couples, and it's nice to read more about them. I love the reference to Harry's birthday, as that's one of my favourite moments in the book. I also love the connection to James and Lily (my absolute favourite couple!). I've always liked the parallels between James/Lily and Harry/Ginny so I thought the locket was a good symbolisation of that (I'm hoping that was your intention, and not just me reading too much into it, as i tend to do!) Keep it up!
Just as you love Ginny and Harry as a couple, I love Ron and Hermione. That is why I am surprised that I was so touched by this story. The gift was very original, much better than the easily predicable engagement ring. It was nice to see them share a private moment in the quiet of the dawn. Thanks for sharing!
