Fantastic!!!!!!!!
Author's Response:I'm glad you liked it. I angsted over it for three solid weeks, so I'm glad it didn't suck. :)
~Jess
If you finish it up this month or next year, we will be here!
Author's Response: :)
Jess, take your time! I'll be here as one of your loyal fans as long as you continue to write for us. Thank you again and we understand that to put out the quality you do, it takes time. Many times I say "can't wait!", but really, I can. I would rather you take a year and finish this up the right way, than rush it to make a few people happy. You're the best!
David
Author's Response:Aww, hello!
I've been a s*** about updating, but I've recently been promoted to a moderator, so I have less time on my hands. Fortunately, though, I've scheduled some vacation time at the end of the month, with which I plan to tackle the end of this story and a few others. Thank you so much for being a great reader. :)
~Jess
this is a really suspenseful story. i cant wait to read the next chapter!!
Author's Response:I'm glad you are enjoying it. I really do hope to get moving on it again after the Quicksilver Quill judging winds down. Thank you for your continued interest. :)
~Jess
I also have a life you see, so don't tell me about it. Ofcourse I'm not a site moderator as you are but that doesn't mean I've nothing to do except sit and read your stories. If I'd been impatient then that's because your story has that effect on me, besides three months is enough time to start wondering about the status of your story. I only asked you if you are updating it or have given up. There was no need to be rude, I never meant to bully you. I know you only by your work that I really liked, so why would I?
I singled out your fic after going through loads of crap, I reread it so I don't muddle it up with other fics I'm on with that are long, chaptered and equivalent of over 1000 pages. Nevertheless I really want to read your story till the end. Thats all.
Author's Response:I didn't mean to be short with you, but your initial message came across as quite rude. It's just a bit irritating to come home after a long night at work to reviewers demanding updates when I simply do not have the time at the moment. That probably did make me overly cranky, true, but my message stands. I will get to it when I do, but I will get to it nonetheless.
~Jess
Have you finally abandoned this story? I don't understand what could possibly keep you so long from updating.
You know yours was the only H/Hr fic I ever started and followed this long. I think I've learnt my lesson not to trust when it comes to WIP coz you never know with them.
Author's Response:You know, authors on this site have other things going on besides sitting behind a computer screen all day and writing fan fiction. I work a full time job. I'm a site moderator and spend hours per week reading others' stories so that their fics can be read by others. I help run the beta boards forum. And, here and there, I even have a *life*. Yes, it has taken me a while to get updates written for this story, but I have six different story WIPs. I can't always get to them as quick as everyone would like. Contrary to popular belief, I am but one person, and writing stories isn't easy.
I'm sorry if you feel left wanting because of the space between updates, but I seriously cannot conjure 3000 words out of thin air. It takes hours upon hours of work and then beta time. So, unless you can magically either extend the day by eight hours or erase the need for sleep, I'm afraid you're stuck waiting until I have time to crank something out. I don't mean to be snippy, but until you delve into a long, chaptered story that is the equivalent of over 200 pages, I really don't see how you have room to bully me about how often I publish. I will get to it when I do. Please be patient, and it will come.
arghh whens the next chapter!! :((
Author's Response:My sincerest apologies for the delay in updating. As the Quicksilver Quill awards have started the judging process (in which I am heavily involved), I've not found a lot of time do update my stories. I feel really bad about it, but there isn't much I can do at this point. Sorry, and thank you for your continued interest. The story is nearly finished, so it will definitely get updated. When is the key question.
~Jess
you're writing is absolutely amazing. you've now made me laugh, cry, and grind my teeth in just 2 chapters!
Author's Response:I'm glad you're enjoying the story thus far. Thank you for stopping in and sharing your experience. :D
~Jess
This is such an awesome story, and i can't wait to read more! You are an excellent writer, you really have talent!(:
Author's Response:I'm glad you enjoy the story. I try to make it as canon-ish as possible (minus the AU aspect of Ron's death), plus make it readable. That I've done that makes me really happy. I hope you stick around for the end, which is near. Thank you for your reading and reviewing!
~Jess
I need another chapter! ahhhhh! =)
Author's Response:I'm sorry! I really am working on it, but I just have SO much stuff going on right now on the beta forums that it's been hard to find time to get back to it as much as I'd like. I really do promise, though... less than a month. :/
Thanks for your patientce.
~Jess
When is chapter 15 going to be up?!!? I am so excited for it!!
Author's Response:I am really, really planning on it being up within a month. The story itself is almost finished, but I'm so glad you're eager to finish it out with me. :D
~Jess
It's one of the best Harry-Hermione fics I've ever read. You are an amazing writer. Please do complete the story.
Author's Response:I'm so glad you enjoy the story. It's been a labour of love for a while now, and it's actually quite near the end. Here pretty soon, an update will come out, and hopefully, you'll join me for that. :)
Anyway, I'm happy that my humble story was a joy for you to read. Thank you for checking in and reviewing!
~Jess
Yay! New chapter. :)
Author's Response:Yay, you found it! It's been up over a month now, but glad you read it nonetheless. :)
~Jess
First off, I just wanted to say that this is the best Harmony fanfic I have ever read. And I have read a lot of them. So thank you. Secondly, I have a tiny suggestion that I thought might help to make your story better. I have noticed that in the story, when Harry and Hermione are at home, they don't seem to use a lot of magic or spells around the house. I thought maybe, if the situation presents itself, you could add in more of the commom "household" spells, so to speak. I was thinking something along the lines of, say, when they make tea, maybe you could have them cast a charm that makes the tea for them, or else something that would make the flat they live in seem more like a magical place and someplace that it is more obvious that a witch and wizard live there. It was just something that crossed my mind. Thats all.
And p.s. I know you are working hard to post the next chapter, but please to everything you can to post it as quick as you can... even a couple minutes would make a difference I think.... Also, could you give a rough estimate as to when you would be posting the next chapter?? I think we all would appreciate it. Thanks!!!
Author's Response:Hehe, I love that you find the story so good. I try really hard to make it canonically feasible, as well as interesting. That means a healthy mesh of plot and characters. I'm glad that you feel I've succeeded. And as for use of magic, there really isn't a whole lot of focus on the mundane aspects of life that would necessitate household spells. Mostly why I didn't include things like this is because the middle chapters were meant to emcompass a large span of time in a set amount of words. I had to pick and choose my content. So I did leave that sort of thing out, but not accidentally. I hope that makes sense.
Updates? Well, the story is nearly over, which is why it's high on my list of things to do. I have no idea as to the exact date, as I tend to be bollocks at keeping to those, but within a month should be reasonable to estimate. Then again, I do have a rather vicious Harmony reader who is ready to tackle me if I don't update soon, hehe.
Thank you so much for reading. It's flattering that you consider my humble tale to be of high quality, and I am grateful for your readership. I hope that you find the end of the story satisfactory. :)
~Jess
Jess,
This is cruel and unusual punishment! I need to know what happens next! You have me so hooked on this story. It's truly amazing. I can only hope to be as good as you are someday. For the sake of my sanity, please update soon.
-Ash
Author's Response:Aww, thank you, dear. I'm glad you enjoy it!
I'm planning on finishing this sooner than later, so I will do my best not to murder you with suspense. :D
~Jess
Loving it so far. I like what you did with Kreacher at the end here! definitely awesome. I'm excited to see where it goes from here and can't wait for more!
Author's Response:I'm glad you enjoy the story!
Kreacher was a very convenient plot device, not gonna lie. The end is near, and I can't wait to finish it. :D
~Jess
Haha I love your little clever chapter end notes! They're too funny. You are a great writer btw. It sounds like things they would actually do and think. I don't like how in some peoples stories it seems like they never really cared about Ron ... Yours do :)
Author's Response:I'm glad you enjoy the story. :)
As a writer, I pride myself on the realism in my stories and in my canon characterisation, even in a non-canon situation. It just seems a travesty to all of the characters we fell in love with through Jo's writing to steal their names and make them other people for our own purposes. I almost I feel like I owe it to them to make their characters as true to canon as possible. I'm happy that you appreciate that, because with a non-canon ship, it's soooooo easy to do.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and have a lovely day. :)
~Jess
2 things.
1. I LOVE what you have done with this so far! Although I do have to wonder when they are going to realize that Hope is Harry's baby. That's been killing me the whole time!
2. I'm really wondering if Hermione is going to accept Harry for Harry or if she is going to think this mad man running in and tackling Yaxley is George.
Great work so far, you're very talented!
Author's Response:Thank you. :)
I really wanted to take my time in the relationship aspect between them, because throwing them together after everything that happened is just... strange, hehe. And as for Hermione accepting Harry, in a way, she always has. When he was forced to do dangerous things, she still treated him as him, not the Chosen One, and just helped him do what he needed to do. I think the better question is whether she can accept him as more than 'just Harry'. :D
Thanks for the review. I really appreciate it!
~Jess
good and definitely worth a read. i especially liked the authors note at the end of this chapter lmao
Author's Response:Hehe, I really have to curb my failitude and just finish this story. I really love writing it, and the response it's got from the MNFF readers is phenomenal. I'm glad you like it, and I can't wait to finish it. :D
~Jess
This was awesome!
I can't wait to see what you do with it next,
Thank you for sharing.
Author's Response:I'm glad you enjoy it. Thank you very much for your good wishes and support.
