all that and snape dosen't get laid bore bloke though won't snape be embarsed when wormtail has to come and get him!
Lolz. What a b!tch.:D
And here I thought I was in for some angsty smut, albeit squicky smut, and you went and made me giggle at a lamenably turgid Severus in an even more lamentably exposed state. XD
I'm not sure exactly if I can believe in the story in terms of feasability, but I definitely appreciate its entertainment value.
And that's it. Full circle. I've read every single one of your fics on the archives. I shall return when you have deemed it a good time to bless us with a new story.
Until we AIM again!
~Jess
Author's Response: Hmmm, angsty smut - I may have to try that sometime (although preferably not with this pairing O.o). Like I said the other day, I had to go slightly crack-y with this - my recipient in the fest wanted Severus/Bella, non-con and bondage - crack was that only way I could write that with my sanity intact! So I fully take your point on feasibility, but this really was the best I could do with the prompt, I think. Severus did not take kindly to this story though (I couldn't write him for ages afterwards because he was sulking). I am tempted to write a second chapter where Wormtail finds him, but I'm not sure I dare really. I think I'm going to have to write some new stuff now, just to get more Jess reviews! ;)
This was an interesting read. I could see it happening. I like stories that wrap around canon and this one wraps around nicely. Good work Hannah!
Author's Response: Thanks, I always like to hope that what I right remains believable in the canon world, even though I like to write very non-canon pairings.
' A limit to how long he could be toyed with' - ha ha ha - yeah, I would think fourteen or more years is too long for any man.
Okay, serious review now. I like this set up, and your attention to detail (the tannic stain, the buttons bouncing with dissonant pings) really sum up your talent as a writer. I really enjoyed reading this. The pairing may be crazy, but then Bellatrix is crazy. Not sure about Snape as a Love God, but perhaps a sex-life would have made him a far happier person.
I liked his reflection on Narcissa as being more worthwhile than him or Bellatrix. It shows he does think of others apart from himself and Lily. But he undersells himself in his cynicism - foolish man.
Very enjoyable ~Carole~
Author's Response: Thanks for such a lovely review. I'm glad you like the details, because I do love putting imagery into my writing but I sometimes worry it can be overpowering and too much. It's not a pairing I'd normally choose to write but it was for a exchange and I had to push myself a little, which I was glad of in the end. Bellatrix's brand of crazy was so much fun to write in this, and I agree that a sex-life probably would have improved Severus' mood no end! I think he often sells himself short, but then no one every really made him feel that he was worth much of anything, except Lily and that didn't exactly end well.
