Pretty good! The chapters are very short though, but thats ok.:) When Draco made his little speech that really caught me off gaured. I thought Hermione would say something like that

Author's Response: I guess I see Hermione as angry at Draco, especially since she was tortured in his house and he plotted to kill Dumbledore. She comes around in the story based on observing Draco's behavior. I see Draco as more exhausted from the war and trying to finally do the right thing (without changing his personality -- which is tricky). I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. -- Jenny

Ron pays more attention to Draco than Hermione and/or her needs... Honestly, I never fully understood why did they ended up together in the books.

I'm quite happy to see this new chapter so soon. But I suppose you might not post the next chapter this fast, right? Anyway, now that Ron left, maybe we'll see more interaction between Hermione and Malfoy. I can understand how Ginny still hates Malfoy, since she and her family have lost a lot of people (and Fred). I wonder if we will ever see George and his joke shop in here? Anyway, thanks so much for posting up this chapter so quickly!

Heyy, overall how you imagine Hogwarts after the wall is so good. And it's great that it's really sticking to JK's vision. Just a few things....
1. There are some americanisms that wouldn't be said in the UK like 'class' which would be a 'lesson'.
2. Personally I don't think they'd call McGonogall 'Headmistress' or 'Ma'am'. After all no-one called Dumbledore Headmaster Dumbledore. And in the UK Ma'am's used basically only for royalty. It wouldd usually be 'Miss' instead. lol.
Apart from that really good and a great storyline already :):)

Author's Response: I'm trying to do a better job with the British English -- I've got a bunch of websites I'm referencing. Obviously I'm American, though, so it's going to be rough. Also, my beta told me that Hermione tends to be formal and that I should say "Headmistress" more often, not less! Funny how things work out. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story! -- Jenny

Thanks for the update! It was a cute chapter, for Ron/Hermione lovers. It made me feel strange that Ron and Hermione will break up in here due to the fact that this is a Draco/Hermione coupling. But it was sweet nonetheless. Can't wait for the next chapter! Thanks a lot again!

Author's Response: The break-up takes a long time in this story. Maybe that's because in real life, I'm a HG/RW shipper. But I found myself drawn to write a HG/DM story -- I just love writing about Draco! I credit the actor, because I didn't find the character in the books to be very sympathetic. But if you love Ron, you may not be too happy with where I take his character. He's better than how I write him here. I claim creative license. :-) -- Jenny

I couldn't take the wait any longer so I went and finished your story on LiveJournal, I liked it a lot but I have to admit I did have a hard time reading it. I just hated reading Ron being but down like that. I knew that in the end Hermione and Draco would end up together but I couldn't help but feel bad for Ron. I do like how they don't have super messy break up and still kind of stay friends. Good story in the end though. :)

Author's Response: I completely agree! In real life, I'm a huge Ron/Hermione shipper. But when it came time to try my hand at writing fan fic (this is my first story ever) I couldn't write Ron. And there are so many good Ron/Hermione stories out there, I felt I had nothing to add. But for some reason, I could write Draco, especially after this last movie, where I really felt some sympathy for hiim (I credit the actor, because the books did not make me very sympthetic towards Draco). I left the ending open, so you can imaging a scenario where in a few years Hermione becomes unhappy with Draco and gets back together with Ron, who may mature and become more open about Hermione's education. That's not where I think the story should go, based on how I wrote it, but it's possible. And that way it would be "in cannon" with JKR's Epilogue. Thanks for reading! Jenny
