Aww shucks. Thanks for the shout-out in the author's note. You're very welcome. That paragraph flows well! cj

Good fic! I knew he would say red, but never thought of the Quidditch robes, the colours of Gryffindor, or the Hogwarts Express. I only thought of Ginny's hair! A great short story on an interesting theme.

One reviewer had commented on Harry's mentioning Ginny's hair twice. Perhaps it would work if the three hair memories are placed in chronological order? First the way her "hair seemed to catch fire in the sunset...", then "and the way it blazed against her white dress..." before mentioning the baby's hair. That way it flows and doesn't seem disjointed. Just a thought though, it works how it is.

Author's Response: It's taken me half a year to get to it, but I took your suggestion and updated the story. I think it flows better now, and I have you to thank (which I did in the end notes). Thanks for reading!

I thought it was wonderful! I loved the look-back in time, with all the emphasis on red. I hadn't recognized how much the color red was used in the novels, but it is there. Thank you for a simple, but brilliantly told story. I bet even Jo herself would love to read your insight into her world!

Author's Response: Thanks for the compliment, it means a lot! I tried to stick to things that people would recognize from the books, as well as the heart of the characters that JKR created.

i love this story it is so romantic

Author's Response: Yeah, I'm a sucker for a cheesy romance story, especially with these two (or with the other messy-haired boy and beautiful redhead).

very sweet and something i think the author would agree with.

Author's Response: I hope she would. I really tried to stick to the characterization JKR spent so much time creating.

Hello! Wow. That was a really good first fic! Really sweet and cute! The only tiny little thing I didn't like was is the second last paragraph how Harry mentioned Ginnys hair twice. I think it sort of made it loose some of its affect? Anyway! I love magEd's work too, and I've sort of been toying with trying fan fic for a while now but I'm not that good....and way well done and I'll look out for more of your stuff!
Fi X

Author's Response: Thanks! I know what you mean about him mentioning Ginny's hair twice. I toyed with a couple of other ways of writing it, but I couldn't figure out any way to get around it. I thought he needed both of those reasons, and I didn't know how else to work them in. Good luck with your own writing!

awwwww - this is too sweet! I knew his favorite color would be red - but you did an awesome job telling us why!

Author's Response: Thanks! I figured red was an obvious response, but I thought there was a hole that could be filled there (which I chose to do with a lot of feel-good fluff).

This is a very good first entry! I can feel the emotions Harry experiences while reminiscing about why he loves the color red. I also love that you have Ginny come into the room with their daughter at the point where he starts to talk about both Ginny and Lily's hair. It shows his love for the color red and the ladies in his life! I would love to read more work from you in the future!

Author's Response: Yeah, it might seem a little contrived to have them enter there, but it's a fluffy feel-good story, so I think it's alright. I'm really glad you liked it. I know it's a year later, but I do have another story I'm toying with, so I'd love it if you'd keep an eye out!

Beautiful, touching. a bit of humor, and mostly from his heart. A winner.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

That is a story that I never would've thought of writing and it all stemmed from a simple question that I'm sure celebrities get asked all the time. You took the answer to that question so much further than I ever would've thought to take it. I never thought of all the different ways that Harry's been affected by the color red in his life. I really liked this short story. Harry could've given a quick answer as to his favorite color or told the reporter to look it up but instead he gave her a full picture of his life. Great story.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I'd like to think that, most of the time, Harry would give the short answer, but that has to be tiring in itself after a while.
